Donna Burton

Services for Donna Pauline Burton, 33, who passed away Oct. 24 in Pahrump, were held at 1 p.m. Nov. 1 at Grandview cemetery.

She was born May 28, 1972 in Utah. She was a six-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.

Her parents Donna and Neal Murray of Pahrump; sister Gheanna Burton of Pahrump; grandparents Max and Letha Dresser of Las Vegas; and cousins Shyla and Savanna Walter survive her.

Two uncles preceded her in death.

Clifford Findlay

Services for Clifford "Pete" Findlay, 86, who passed away Oct. 30, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. in Las Vegas.

He was born June 19, 1919 in Pioche and was a 46-year resident of Henderson.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked in automobile dealerships and was a member of the Elks Club, the Rotary Club and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

His daughter Karen Hohl of Carson City; sons Cliff and Ed Findlay of Henderson; sister Enid Crownover of Henderson; brother Jack Findlay of Hisperia, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren survive him.

Donations in lieu of flowers many be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Palm Mortuary-Eastern in Las Vegas handled the arrangements. (10/30/05)

Paul Angelino

Services for Paul Angelino, 72, who passed away Oct. 28 in Pahrump, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Grandview cemetery.

He was born April 4, 1933 in California. He was a one-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California. He was self-employed in the insurance industry.

His wife Gloria Angelino of Pahrump; son Paul Angelino of California; stepdaughter Laurellyn Lackey of Las Vegas; stepson Chris Green of Las Vegas; sister Anna Maria of North Carolina; niece Lisa of North Carolina; niece Tessa Kyle of California; and nephew John Schneider of California survive him.

His parents preceded him in death.

Kathryn Jones

Services for Kathryn A. Jones, 53, who passed away Nov. 24 in Pahrump, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Highland Hills Baptist Church in Henderson, located at 615 College Drive.

She was born June 2, 1952 in Springfield, Ill. She was a 15-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas. She worked as a bartender.

Her husband Samuel Jones; parents Rita B. McCarthy and James D. Spencer Sr., both of Witt, Ill.; son Earl (Renaee) Jones of Las Vegas; daughter Deborah (Keith) Olson of Las Vegas; brothers James D. Spencer Jr., Josh Spencer, and Paul Spencer, all of Springfield; brother Ken Spencer of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren survive her.

Her son Samuel Jones Jr. preceded her in death.

Dominic Picciolo

A memorial celebration for Dominic Picciolo, 44, who passed away Nov. 26 in Las Vegas, will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 12 at Town Hall Casino.

He was born March 7, 1961 in Illinois. He was a resident of Pahrump since 1991, coming from New Jersey.

He served in the U.S. Marines and later worked in the construction industry. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Elks and Moose Lodge. He also played in the Pahrump 9-Ball league.

His wife Dawne Picciolo; daughter Amanda (Gregory) of Hawaii; brothers David (Lucy) of Georgia, Jimmy and Billy; sister Beth (Jack) of New Jersey; grandchild Ian Scott; parents Anthony and Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews survive him.

Neptune Society of Nye County handled the arrangements. (11/26/05)

Joseph Zibrida

Private services will be held for Joseph Zibrida, 75, who passed away Nov. 16.

He was born April 6, 1930 in Pennsylvania. He was a five-year resident of Pahrump.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a space shuttle worker. He retired from the aerospace industry.

His daughter Teresa Langdon of Vail, Colo.; and companion Mary Ann Teninty of Pahrump survive him.

Palm Mortuary, located on 1325 N. Main Street in Las Vegas, handled the arrangements. (11/16/05)

Richard Creamer

Services for Richard L. Creamer, 90, who passed away Nov. 29 in Las Vegas, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.

He was born June 26, 1915 in Joplin, Mo. He was a 16-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.

He served in the U.S. Army. He later worked as a carpenter and retired in 1971.

His wife Lillie M. Creamer of Pahrump; son Leroy Creamer of Utah; stepson Eugene Hastings of Nevada; 10 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren survive him.

Lottie Morland

Services for Lottie J. Morland, 75, who passed away Dec. 12 in Pahrump, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Pahrump Family Mortuary.

She was born Feb. 9, 1930 in Kentucky. She was a three-month resident of Pahrump, coming from Simi Valley, Calif.

Her daughter Carol (John) Vickers of Pahrump; son Charles (Anita) Morland of Burbank, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren survive her. (12/12/05)

Roger Purdy

Services for Roger L. Purdy, 65, who passed away Dec. 4 in Las Vegas, were held Dec. 8 at New Horizons Church in Las Vegas.

He was born March 22, 1940 in Garden City, Kan. He was a two-and-a-half-year resident of Pahrump.

He was a Marine Corps veteran. He later worked as an air conditioning technician and retired in 2003.

His wife Dorothy Purdy of Pahrump; sons Jeff Purdy of Pahrump and Craig Purdy of Las Vegas; daughters Stephanie Fraley and Shannon Richardson, both of Las Vegas; six brothers; three sisters; and seven grandchildren survive him.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Lillian Edwards

A visitation for Lillian Edwards, 91, who passed away Dec. 14 in Pahrump, will be held at noon Sunday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.

She was born Jan. 8, 1914 in Louisiana.

She was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church and was Florist Club Mission's president.

Her daughter Lizzie Edwards of Pahrump; son Eric Johnson of Louisiana; sister Ricky Reed of Louisiana; brothers Edward Newton and Cliff Newton, both of Louisiana; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren survive her.

Her parents, two daughters, one son and husband preceded her in death. (12/14/05)

Jack Johnston

Services for Jack Bruce Johnston, 70, who passed away Dec. 13 in Pahrump, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Neptune Society Chapel, with a visitation from 5-8 p.m. today.

He was born July 9, 1935 in Tulia, Texas. He was a 14-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Los Angeles.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who later worked as a house painter. He liked watching football and baseball. He was also a loving husband, father and grandfather.

His wife Jean Johnson of Pahrump; daughter Lindy Vecchiarelli of Los Angeles; son Rodger Shlam of Temple City, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren survive him. (12/13/05)

Sheldon Bass

Sheldon Bass, 70, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas Dec. 15.

He was born March 31, 1935.

He loved exploring the paths less traveled in Mexico, Guatemala and beyond. He always did his

"homework," and he was a great researcher. He believed strongly in community service throughout his life. Weaving a tale was one of his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his three daughters, Dyan Sheets, Dana Bass Solomon and Kim Bass; eight grandchildren; and other family and friends who loved him.

A celebration of his life will be held in Pahrump early in the new year. The date and location will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the National Polio Foundation. (12/15/05)
