Frances R. Stock
Frances Stock passed away March 2, 2004. She was born Sept. 30, 1910, in Ephrata, Wash., to Lettie and Frank Tidd.
On Dec. 7, 1929, she married Orvis Stock, a Paradise Valley native, and they ranched in Elko County for over 30 years.
Frances was active in many organizations. She was a cofounder and past president of the Lamoille Women's Club, president of The Twentieth Century Club, volunteer pink lady at Washoe Med, voted Cowbelle of the Year in 1975 and a member of the League of Women's Voters. Twice she was a representative to Washington, D.C., and she served on the Nevada Grand Jury for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvis Stock, and son, Frank Stock.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Stacia Ayres and Matt Stock of Reno, Nev., and Greta Stock of Elko; nephew, Mike Shaughnessy of Carson City, Nev.; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Lamoille Women's Club, c/o Millie McCarley, P.O. Box 281184, Lamoille, NV 89828, or the Elko County Cattlewomen's Memorial Fund, HC64 Box 26, Deeth, NV 89823.
There will be no services per her request.
Ferne Dudley-Ennis
Our family would like to celebrate the life of Ferne Dudley-Ennis, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. Ferne will always be loved and will dearly be missed on this earth by all that knew her.
She leaves behind her sister, Mildred McCarley from Lamoille, Nev.; three daughters, Dianna Jueschke of Emmett, Idaho, Janice Rutherford of Lovelock, Nev., and Linda Sands also of Lovelock; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; friends and family from across the United States.
Services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral home located between Burns Road at Fairgrounds Road.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Ferne Ennis or Linda Sands at Wells Fargo Bank in care of Mike Jensen.
Reception to be held at The Toothmans' home, 275 W. Juniper, Elko, Nev.
Richard Donald Hart
Richard Donald Hart, 25, died March 14, 2004, at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital resulting from an auto accident.
He was born March 27, 1978, in Cudahy, Calif., to Richard and Judy Hart and he worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction.
He had lived in Elko for the past four years after coming from Montana. He loved bow-hunting, fly fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents, David and Judy Braverman of Elko, two brothers and four sisters.
At the family's request, no services will be held. Cremation will be at Sunset Crematory under the direction of Burns Funeral Home.
Terry Wayne Robinson
Terry Wayne Robinson, 45, died March 16, 2004, at the Battle Mountain General Hospital. He was born May 28, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wayne and Joyce Lemmon Robinson and he had worked as an equipment operator in the mining industry.
He had lived in Battle Mountain since 1986 coming from Reno, Nev., and he enjoyed fishing, gardening and crafts.
He is survived by his wife, Soveida Morfin Robinson of Battle Mountain, Nev.; son, Levi Robinson of Ely, Nev.; daughter, Mandy Robinson of Elko, Nev.; mother, Joyce Robinson of West Valley, Utah; brothers, Jay (and wife Donna) Robinson and Allen (and wife Dodie) all of West Valley, Utah; sisters, Debbie Robinson of Reno, Nev., and Mary (and husband Steve) Mitchell of West Valley, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Robinson.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at St. John's Bosco Catholic Church Hall in Battle Mountain, Nev. Father Bill Paiz of St. John's will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Battle Mountain City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Allen Robinson, Cody Morandi, Steven Mitchell, Pete Mendoza, Benito Valenzuela, and John "Rocky" Vigil.
Angela Monahan
Angela Monahan, 83, passed away at her home on March 31, 2004. She was a 57 year resident of Henderson, Nev. The last surviving of eight children, she was born Angela Mendive on April 7, 1920, to Basque immigrant parents in Battle Mountain, Nev.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George C. Monahan and her son, George S. Monahan.
She is survived by two sons, and one daughter, Darryl (Bonnie) Monahan of Reno, Nev., Greg (Helene) Monahan, and Mary (Steve) George, both of Henderson, Nev. Eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive her as well.
She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Eastern on Sunday, April 4, 2004, from 3-7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church on Monday, April 5, 2004, at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice Building Fund - Henderson Campus.
