Private services were held in Tecopa, Calif., for Edith Louise Pierce, 82, who passed away Jan. 21.
She was born Feb. 18, 1923 in Oklahoma. She was a 20-year resident of Tecopa before moving to Pahrump in 1994.
She was active in the Tecopa Auxiliary Fire Department.
Her children Jerry Legg, Joe Pierce and Peggy Pierce survive her.
Her husband of 35 years Lawrence Pierce preceded her in death.

John Ashworth
Private family services will be held for John Ashworth, 81, who passed away Jan. 24.
He was born Dec. 9, 1924 in England. He was a 13-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
He was a Toastmaster and an honored soccer referee who is in the Hall of Fame in Carson City for his accomplishments.
His wife of 54 years Joyce; children Mark, Ian, Phillip and Christine; and six grandchildren survive him.

Gloria Morse
Private services will be held for Gloria Mae Morse, 72, who passed away Jan. 26.
She was born Jan. 21, 1934 in Ohio. She moved to Pahrump in 1989, coming from Yarnell, Ariz.
She supported the No to Abuse program.
Her husband Lyle of Los Alamos, N.M.; daughter Decia; and sons Otis and Eric survive her.
Her daughter Diane preceded her in death.

Kizzie Cribbs
Services were held for Kizzie J. Cribbs, 83, who passed away Jan. 28.
She was born Feb. 21, 1922 in Indiana. She was an 11-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.
She was a member of Choice Hills Baptist Church.
Her husband of 39 years Bobby Cribbs; daughters Anita Mellon and Barbara Kubitz; sons Michael Powers, David Powers and Ronald Powers; 31 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother Floyd Spoonmore survive her.
Her son Glen preceded her in death in 2002. (01/28/06)
Orville Hamblen
Private services will be held for Orville D. Hamblen, 70, who passed away Jan. 11 in Las Vegas.
He was born Jan. 28, 1935 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was a resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a truck driver.
His wife Mary Hamblen of Pahrump and stepson Michael Rustin of Moore, Okla., survive him.

Guy Lozowski
Services for Guy Lawrence Lozowski, 54, who passed away Jan. 9 from complications due to the West Nile virus, will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 18 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Wilson Road.
He was born Oct. 22, 1951 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a Pahrump resident since 1997.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He later owned and operated Wild West Video. He liked working on cars and oil painting. He also loved to count cross-stitch, a hobby he shared with his wife.
His wife Gloria of Pahrump; parents Lawrence and Jacky Lozowski of Pahrump; brother Bradley Lozowski of Las Vegas; sister Susan Carter of Maui, Hawaii; and four wonderful dogs survive him. (01/09/06)
Willard Hunter
A memorial service for Willard Earl Hunter, 81, who passed away at his home Jan. 29 in Pahrump, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Neptune Society chapel on Buol Road.
He was born Aug. 18, 1924 in Texas and moved to Oklahoma shortly after with his family, where he was raised on a farm. As a young man, Willard moved to Bakersfield, Calif., working on farms and as a truck driver before moving to Pahrump with his wife Cleo and sons Gary and Randy, where they lived for more than 30 years.
After Cleo's death, he met and married
Audrey. The two loved to travel the country in their motor home visiting old friends and making new ones.
His sons Gary and Randy; grandchildren Justin, Aaron, Brandon and Caitlin; sister Hazel Vlahakis; sister-in-law Doris Hunter of Bakersfield; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends survive him.
His wives Cleo and Audrey; son Danny; five brothers; three sisters; and his parents preceded him in death.

William Schooley
A celebration of life service for William Schooley, 69, who passed away Jan. 10 in Las Vegas, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Haven Selah, 1680 N. Blagg Road.
He was born Aug. 28, 1936 in Lynn, Pa. He was an eight-year resident of Pahrump.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1976 after serving two tours in Vietnam. After retirement, he worked for Opportunity Village in Las Vegas and Las Vegas Desert Regional Center.
He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 808 and a member of American Legion No. 168.
His wife Audra of Pahrump; children Sally (Andy), Tammy (Andy) Radford and son William (Alison) Schooley, all of Mansfield, England; stepchildren Jeffery Brandz and Allison Ruby, both of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren survive him.
His parents; two brothers; and beloved aunt Arlene Meyers preceded him in death.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Disabled American Vets in Pahrump.

Robert Cull
A memorial service for Robert L. Cull, 68, who passed away Feb. 2 in Las Vegas, will be held at 2 p.m. at 150 N. Leslie.
He was born April 27, 1937 in St. Helena, Calif. He was a six-year resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later worked as a truck driver, retiring from Puliz Trucking.
His wife Kandee of Pahrump; sons Robert, Gary, Ronnie, Kevin, Keith, Tony and Chanin; daughters Tammy Jarrett and Melyssa Polisano; sisters Shirley Gillet, Karen Abner, Patricia Rees and Betty Cooper; and 29 grandchildren survive him.

Richard Meeker
Private services will be held for Richard E. Meeker, 78, who passed away Feb. 3 in Las Vegas.
He was born Jan. 22, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio. He was an 11-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Ridgecrest, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later worked at the Naval Weapons Center as engineer, retiring in 1978.
His wife Beverly Meeker of Pahrump; sons Daryl Meeker of Las Vegas and David Meeker of California; stepsons Edwin Kumferman of Idaho and Kevin Kumferman of California; stepdaughter Kim Shelley of California; brothers Hubert Meeker of Canada and Donald Meeker of Ohio; sister Shirley (Fran) Hoffmaier of Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren survive him.
His parents preceded him in death.
