Karma Rosendahl
Services for Karma P. Rosendahl, 70, who died April 29, 2007, at Harmon Medical & Rehabilitation Hospital in Las Vegas, will be held at 11 a.m. (visitation 10-11 a.m.) today at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., in Las Vegas.
She was born Oct. 12, 1936, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a resident of Pahrump.
She worked as a secretary and retired from the insurance industry.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, but most of all, she was a true, genuine person who worked hard her entire life. She always had a bright outlook on life. She will be missed terribly by all who knew her.
Her daughters Kim Fancher and Cindy Cooper; sons Todd Rosendahl and Kerry Lunt; stepdaughter Laurie Whitton; stepson Todd Rosendahl; grandchildren Wes Fancher, Melissa Fancher, Jessica Fancher, Brandon Cooper, Amanda Cooper, Jared Cooper, Jennifer Rosendahl, Stephanie Rosendahl, Brittany Rosendahl, Blake Rosendahl, Mathew Rosendahl; and best friend and companion Jimmy Fancher survive her.
Her husband Wayne Rosendahl; mother Ireta Strate; father Eugene Peterson; and brother Karl Peterson preceded her in death.
Interment will take place at Palm Valley View cemetery in Las Vegas. (04/29/07)
Marian Wiser
Marian Naomi Sudekum Wiser, 83, reluctantly slipped away April 28, 2007.
She is survived by her sweetheart of 63 years, Philip S. Wiser and six of their nine children: John Wiser, Dallan Wiser, Melanie Wilson, Kellee Smith and twins Gary and Jerry Wiser. Three of their children, Janell Gardner, Alison Briggs and Charlie Wiser preceded her in death and welcomed her home.
Born in Nashville, Tenn., Marian married
Phil in the LDS Logan, Utah Temple during his service in World War II. She and Phil served an LDS church mission in West Virginia.
An accomplished stenographer, executive secretary and realtor, Marian also liked to sing, lead choir, crochet, craft and shop until she dropped.
She will be remembered by her children, 35 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and friends as a great southern cook, a loyal friend and a loving "Granny." "Until we meet again..." (04/28/07)
Joseph Windholz
Services for Joseph "Joe" E. Windholz, 16, an amazing young man who died March 21, 2007, will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 at J.G. Johnson Elementary School.
He was born May 14, 1990, in Las Vegas. He was a life-long Pahrump resident and was a junior at Pahrump Valley High School.
Joe was very active in youth sports, including soccer and softball. He could often be found refereeing those sports. He was a vibrant young man who always had a smile on his face.
His mother Sheila Rouse-Windholz of Pahrump; father Kevin Windholz of Pahrump; brother Shaun Windholz of Pahrump; grandfather Ernie Rouse of Florence, Ore.; aunt Susan Rouse of Spokane, Wash.; "other-mother" Tammy Cochrell; and sisters-in-heart Tiffany, Chelsea, Kayla, Mercedes and Courtney survive him.

Chuck Smith
Chuck E. Smith, 68, died March 16, 2007, in Pahrump.
He was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Dayton, Ky. He was a seven-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was later a self-employed mechanic.
His wife JoAnn Smith of Pahrump; son Scott (Connie) Smith of Las Vegas; daughter Dianne (Keith) Anderson of Las Vegas; brothers Lew Smith of Kentucky and Phillip Smith of Texas; and three grandchildren survive him.
His parents preceded him in death.

Mary Tuttle
Mary Leona Tuttle, 72, died March 20, 2007, in Las Vegas.
She was born May 29, 1934, in Bloomington, Ind. She was a three-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
Her husband Daniel Tuttle; sons Rocky (Patricia) Phillips and Jeffery (Judy) Phillips; sister Barbara (Walley) Bowman; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren survive her.
Her daughter Sharron preceded her in death.

Arthur Gray
A memorial service for Arthur Gray, 71, who died March 8, 2007, in Pahrump, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Pahrump Community Church, 1061 E. Wilson Road.
He was born Feb. 13, 1936, in Milton, Mass. He was a 10-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.
He served in the U.S. Navy and retired after 26 years of service. He was a police officer and worked as a Nye County Sheriff's Office deputy for seven years.
He was a member of the VFW, the Moose and AFL.
The family said, "There is one less great man on the earth. Heaven has called him home, making a bigger and brighter star to watch over us called 'Dad."'
His wife Karen Gray of Las Vegas; loving daughters Lynda O'Brien of Pahrump, Cindy Gray of California, Kathy (Larry) Jones of Florida and Kaya Gray of Las Vegas; son Henry (Quique) of California; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many very close friends survive him.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be made to defray his final expenses.

Elizabeth Weiss
In loving memory of Elizabeth "Libby" A. Sochia Davenport Weiss, 73, who died March 22, 2007, and went home to be with the Lord following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 22, 1933, in New Castle, Pa., to Leo Thurman Sochia and Florence Sochia Cook. She attend New Castle High School. On Feb. 5, 1966, she was united in marriage to John E. Weiss.
Libby and John lived in New Castle for 17 years, where she enjoyed being a homemaker before moving to Cleveland, Ohio, for 10 years, where they both worked at a condominium complex before retiring to Pahrump in 1995.
Libby was a very active member of Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church in Pahrump. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, lector, choir member and former vice president of the Daughters of Mary. She was a faithful and dedicated member and enjoyed every ministry she served in. She was also the neighborhood watch coordinator for her neighborhood.
She was a great wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, making custom Rosary beads, bowling and even enjoyed working.
Libby is survived by her beloved husband John E. Weiss; her son and his wife, Ronald D. Davenport Sr., and Melody; sisters Florence Haney and Dorothy Hovis, both of Pennsylvania, and Eva Sochia of Pahrump. She is further survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Naomi, Louise, Crystal and a brother, Nathan.
Cremation will take place per her wishes and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family extends special thanks to all the staff of Nathan Adelson Hospice for their help and support.

Frances Wright
Memorial services were held March 12, 2007, for Frances Elaine Wright of Winnemucca, who died March 7, 2007, at home with her family at her side.
She was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Elmo and Florence King.
Her husband Don Wright; son Don Wright Jr.; daughters Allison Wright and Julie King; and grandson Tyler King survive her.

Thomas Turner
Thomas "Tom" Charles Turner, 60, a life-long resident of Pahrump, died March 23, 2007, in Las Vegas, while under hospice care. Per Tom's wishes, no services will be held.
Tom was born Sept. 9, 1946, in Las Vegas and was raised in Pahrump.
He attended college in Arizona prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army. During his tour in Vietnam, he received the Bronze Star for valor and was decorated by the French for marksmanship during an international competition held in Germany. He returned to Pahrump after serving in the Army, where he resided until his death.
Tom worked in construction before he became a real estate agent, a profession he enjoyed, and fished whenever possible.
He is survived by his son Walter Turner of Pahrump; brothers Dick (Michellene) Turner and Lee (Amy) Turner, both of Las Vegas; sisters Susan (Ron) Chmiel of Pueblo, Colo., and Merlin (Chuck) Giesler of Las Vegas; eight nieces; five nephews; numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins; and countless friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Dutch Turner (the original fisherman of the family) and brother Walt Turner. (03/23/07)
Kay DeLotto
Kay M. DeLotto, 85, died March 23, 2007, in Las Vegas.
She was born Oct. 24, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a 12-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.
She was a machine shop worker and loved bowling.
Her husband George DeLotto; sons Paul (Harriet) Fass, Robert McMillan, George Luzzi and Dave DeLotto; daughter Phyllis (Dennis) Fawson; grandchildren Brian and Tom Dunphy; and great-grandchildren Marian, Tommy, Jamie, Hope, Brice, Aiden and Scott Dunphy survive her.
