Bonnie Sullivan
Bonnie Sullivan, 64, passed away July 24, 2007, in Pahrump. She was born June 5, 1943, in Indiana.
A homemaker, Bonnie was a member of Sertoma and Toastmasters in Minden, Nev., and worked for the Democratic Party in Manchester, N.Y. She was the Nevada representative for the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and held an AA degree in fine arts. She was a loving wife and mother who loved doing for others.
Her mother Margaret Holden of North Carolina; husband Robert Sullivan of Pahrump; sister Lesley Sizemore of North Carolina; sons Gary Holden of Maryland and Lary Holden of Indiana; daughters Stephanie Sullivan of California and Susan Sullivan of Nevada, survive her.
Her father preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 31 at St. Martins in the Desert Episcopal Church, 631 W. Irene Street, Pahrump. (07/24/07)
William Montgomery
Services have been held for William Montgomery who died July 16, 2007, at home with his family. He was 85 years, 19 days young.
Bill was born in McKeesport, Penn., the third child of William and Elizabeth (MacIntyre) Mongomery.
He was raised in Pennsylvania, but also lived in Centereach, Long Island, N.Y, Fremont, Calif., Pahrump, Nev., and finally in Redding, Calif.
He retired from Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in 1981, as an outside plant engineer. He graduated from McKeesport High School, class of 1940, and also from Chabot College, Hayward, Calif., class of 1969.
Bill was a Purple Heart recipient and veteran of the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946.
He was a survivor of the sinking of the USS Quincy, CA-39 on Aug. 9, 1942 off the coast of Savo Island, supporting the invasion of Guadal Canal, and was active as a member of the USS Quincy Reunion Committee.
Bill was a lifetime member of the DAV and VFW. He was involved with the McKeesport Heritage Center.
Bill was a 44-year member of Alameda Lodge No. 167 in Fremont, Calif., and also a 32nd degree Mason of the Sacramento Body of the Scottish Rite. He acted as Chapter Dad and Dad Advisor for the Washington Township Chapter of the Order of Demolay and served as mentor and surrogate dad for many young men. His Masonic life was very important to him and served as the guiding philosophy for his life, living and upright and just life while treating people "on the square."
His parents, son William G. Montgomery, brother Thomas Montgomery, sister Elizabeth (Betty) Agnew, wife Dorothy M. Montgomery and nephews Brian Jones and Randy Montgomery preceded him in death.
His brother Donald M. (Betty Jean) Montgomery; the mother of his children Margaret Diederich Montgomery Curry; daughter Melody (Brian) Baker; sons Douglas D. Montgomery, Richard T. (Loretta) Montgomery, and Jeffrey L. Montgomery; grandchildren Jeffrey R. Montgomery, Kenneth M. James, Christian C. Montgomery, Hannah E. Montgomery and Marguerite (Greta) Montgomery; and friend Pearl Miller survive him.
He is also survived by his nephews and niece Gary, Ronnie, Sharon (Esquerra), Gregg, Mark, Tommy and Davey Montgomery, along with their spouses and children; and Dorothy's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Frank and Cheryl Sedlmayer, daughters Carrie DeFelice and Amy Stout, and Alyssa J. DeFelice, Kaylee DeFelice and Emme Stout.
Donations may be made to the Children's Learning Center, Scottish Rite, Sacramento, Calif., or to the American Cancer Society. (07/16/07)
Larry L. Brunson
Larry Brunson, 70, passed away in Las Vegas on July 20, 2007.
He was a 7-year resident of Pahrump after retiring as police chief in Ridgecrest, Calif., and China Lake, Calif. His career in law enforcement spanned 40 years. He worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Pahrump for the past six years.
His wife Susan; son Jeffrey Brunson of Pahrump; daughter Deanna Williams of Pahrump; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren survive him.
A memorial service will be held in Ridgecrest, Calif., at a later date. (07/20/07)
Corbin Harney
Corbin Harney died July 10, 2007. He was a Western Shoshone spiritual leader. He was born in Bruno, Idaho, March 24, 1920.
He was raised by his grandparents. Corbin traveled around the world and spoke out about global toxins, radiation, and illness.
He spent most of his life teaching people and healing many. He spoke to many schools, universities, youth correctional institutions, and prisons.
Corbin is well known around the world for the work he did.
Corbin founded Poo Ha Bah, meaning "Doctor Water," in Tecopa, Calif., in the 1980s, which is a unique native and healing and prayer center.
A viewing will be in Lee at Larson Bill's resident July 14 and 15.
Services will be Monday, July 16, in Battle Mountain beginning with a sunrise ceremony at The Battle Mountain Indian Community Park, followed by funeral services at 9 a.m. at the Battle Mountain Indian Community Administrative on 37 Mountain View Drive.
Burial will be held at the Battle Mountain cemetery at 10 a.m. A feast will follow at the Battle Mountain Community Administrative Building.
Corbin Harney is descended from generations of Newe (Shoshone) traditional healers, and was always grateful for the many extraodinary teachers in his lifetime.
Corbin is survived by his daughter Reynaulda Taylor; granddaughers Ann Tayor and Nada Leno; grandson's Keith, Jon and Joel Leno, and William Henry Taylor; seven great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and his sister Rosie Blossom's family; John Harney and other Harney family members Also the family of Marge McDade, and many cousins and other family members, also many, many friends around the world.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, grandparents, uncle, great granddaughter, cousins, and friends.
A very special thanks to Patricia Davidson, Corbin's caregiver in his final months; Dominic Daileda, Corbin's friend and companion for his support and compassion in hard times, and the family of Dixie and Martin Van Der Kamp for opening up their home and their hearts to Corbin, and his family and friends during his time of need. Faye Braden
Faye Braden, 89, died on July 5, 2007, at Nathan Adelson Hospice- West. Faye was born on February 21, 1918, in Kansas. She was a retired cashier at a casino.
Her two daughters, Andra Braden and Myrna Shields; two sisters, Neva Maag, and Alberta Diamond; 10 grandchildren, David, Phyllis, Gary Jr., Cathy, Mike, Chris, Syndee, Kali, Stacey, and Stephanie; and her eight nieces and nephews survive her.
Private services were held. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service handled the arrangements. (07/04/07)
Theresa Levin
Theresa Diane Levin, 41, died on July 15, 2007, in Pahrump.
She was born March 27, 1966, in Fort Smith, Ark. She lived in Pahrump for two years. She came from Liberty Okla. Theresa was a homemaker.
She had a heart of gold, very caring and loving to everyone. She was always there to help anyone in need. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Her devoted husband, Pete Levin of Pahrump; mother, Margaret Armstrong; daughter, Rochelle Partosha; son, Seth Armstrong, all from Oklahoma; sisters Pam (Pete) Kertesz, Julie (Eric) Nelson, from Oklahoma; Christine (Terry) Orbsun, of Texas, and Amanda Thompson, from Oklahoma; granddaughter, Hero (Daisy)Dahlem. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.
Memorial service will be held at Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Pahrump on July 19, 2007, from 7 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Donna Wolfe
Donna Marie Wolfe, 48, died on July 11, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada.She was born on July 20, 1958 in Brooklyn New York.
Donna lived in Pahrump for seven years, coming from New York. She was a teacher's aide. She was a Catholic, and she was a member of the Shepard of the Valley Lutheran Church.
father, Salvatore J. Curattalo; mother, Mary (Ambolo) Curattalo; son, Hunter Wolfe; daughter, Janessa Wolfe; brothers, Steven and Sal Curattalo survive her.

Janet Riddle
Janet E. Riddle, 69, died on July 10, 2007, in Pahrump.
She was born July 14, 1937, in Poe, Ohio. Janet passed away at home with her family by her side.

Charles Kenney
Charles W. Kenney, 86, died on July 7, 2007 in Pahrump.
He was born on March 20, 1921 in Boston, Mass. He lived in Pahrump for 17 years. He came from San Fernando, Ca.
Charles worked as a food and beverage manager in the hotel industry. He served in WWII with the US army air corps.
Wife, Jean Kenney, sons, Danny and (Sharon ) Kenney, Mike Kenney; daughters, Kathy and (Bart) Volk, Terri Kenney, Leta Blackburn, Judy and (Scott) Golden, Meldon and (Scott) Spendlove, brother, Edward and (Julia) Kenney, 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren survive him.
His daughter, Regina MacAully preceded him in death. Memorial service will be held at the Lee Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 10, at 11 a.m. Interment at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery, Wed. July 11 at 1:20 p.m. (07/07/07)
Frances Richardson
Frances Joan Richardson, 76, passed away July 11, 2007, in her Pahrump residence of 11 years.
She was born May 17, 1931, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Her husband Russell; sister Corrine; her children Sharon Wood and Michael Oestman of Michigan and David Oestman of Montana; five stepchildren, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild survive her.
She was the owner of Yum Yum Chocolate Supplies. (07/11/07)
Harold Utt
Harold Daniel Utt, 74, passed away in Napa on July 6, 2007. Harold was born October 18, 1933, in Berkeley, Calif. He graduated from Pacific Union College with a bachelor's degree in 1956. He completed his education at Loma Linda University Dental School in 1964 with a degree in dentistry. Harold served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958.
He practiced dentistry for 40 years in San Juncito, Calif., and Henderson, and retired in 2006 from dental practice in Pahrump.
Harold is survived by his brothers, Richard of Loma Linda and Ted of Angwin, Calif.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Merrill.
At Harold's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that donations be made to your local Human Society in Harold's honor.

Nancy Cox
Services for Nancy Kay Cox, who passed away on July 6, 2007, will be held at St. Viator Catholic Church at 2461 E. Flamingo Road in Las Vegas.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Davis Memorial Park located at 620 S. Eastern in Las Vegas.
