Wesley Brady
Services for Wesley Brady, 91, who passed away July 10, 2007, will be held Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
He was born Feb. 4, 1916, in Petaluma, Calif., and was a 57-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.
In 1977 he retired from his career as a self-employed farmer. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of Calvary Chapel.
His wife Franz L. Brady of Pahrump; nephews Howard Brady of California and Basil Brady of Indiana and a niece, Leta Egnlehart of Texas survive him.
Visitation will be held on Monday at Pahrump Family Mortuary from 10 a.m. to noon, preceeding the services; burial will be at Chief Tecopa cemetery at 1:30 p.m. following the services. (07/10/07)
Dorothy Richardson
Dorothy Louise Richardson, 79, passed away July 4, 2007, in Pahrump.
She was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a resident of Pahrump for 17 years.
She worked as a salesperson in a jewelry store and was an avid golfer and belonged to many golf clubs. She had a love for jewelry, acquiring quite a collection over the years. She was a member of the Furnace Creek Golf Club.
Her daughter Lori Rossi from Sequin, Wa. Survives her.
She's happy now that she has joined the love of her life, her husband William; son, and grandson also named William who preceded her in death.
No services will be held per her request. In lieu of flowers, donations will go to American Cancer Society (07/04/07).
Phillip Carter
Phillip Edward Carter passed away July, 4, 2007. He was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Michigan and was a resident of Pahrump for 12 years.
He was a member of Local 720 Stage Hand Union.
His wife, Penni Jean, of Pahrump; son Phillip and daughter Wendy, both of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Virginia Vahl and Shirley Pickett, of Virginia survive him

John DEMarco
John Joseph DEMarco, 66, passed away after a long illness on July 5, 2007 in Pahrump.
He was born July, 1940 in Vineland, NJ. He was a ten-year resident of Pahrump, which reminded him of the farmlands of South Jersey.
He served in the Air Force for 22 years as a radar technician and truck driver retiring from the service in 1981. He moved his considerable skills with tools and machinery into his own yard and garden service, first in Las Vegas, and then in the Pahrump Valley.
He was a faithful and active member of his church, serving as a lay eucharistic minister and food bank coordinator.
He is survived by his wife Fran of Pahrump, sisters Barbara and Margaret, brothers Frank and Paul of Pahrump; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is sadly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Funeral mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of the Valley Catholic Church; burial to follow at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery at 1 p. m. in Boulder City.

Lawrence Lozowski
Services for Lawrence "Larry" Lozowski, 76, who died Jan. 18, 2007, at Harmon Medical & Rehabilitation Hospital, will be held at the National cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He was born Dec. 3, 1930, in Hamtramck, Mich. He was an 11-year resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He later worked in sales, retiring from the automotive industry.
His wife Joyce Lozowski of Pahrump; son Bradley Lozowski of Las Vegas; daughter Susan Carter of Lahaina, Hawaii; daughters-in-law Lori Lozowski of Las Vegas and Gloria Lozowski of Pahrump; grandson Jake Lozowski of Las Vegas; granddaughters Charice Carter of Hendersonville, Tenn., Alisha Carter of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Erin Lozowski of Las Vegas; great-grandson Noah Carter of Hendersonville; and sister Cynthia Matula of Warren, Mich., survive him.
His son Guy Lozowski preceded him in death.

Anna Petty
Anna Petty, 85, of Las Vegas, formerly of Shelby, Mont., beloved mother, grandmother and sister, died Jan. 19, 2007, of natural causes. Visitation will be today, with a Rosary at 7 p.m., at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. William Catholic Church in Shelby with burial to follow in Mountain View cemetery.
She was born Feb. 7, 1921, to Nicolaus and Maria Daniels in Pierce, W.Va.
As a young woman, Ann moved to Wyoming where she met and married
John Petty Sept. 1, 1940. The young couple moved their family to Shelby in 1949. They were married
25 years when John died in 1967.
She worked for Buttrey Foods and retired in 1986. Ann then moved to Pahrump, where she established Mrs. P's Laundry and Dry Cleaners, which she operated until her second retirement in 2002.
Ann's entire life was devoted to her family and friends. She spent her last days enjoying her grandchildren and tending to her flowers. During her life, she was active and actively involved in the Catholic communities of St. William Catholic Church in Shelby, Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Pahrump and Christ the King Catholic Community in Las Vegas.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.whittedfuneralchapel.com.
Ann's daughter Patricia (Jerry) Bendorf of Las Vegas; sisters Julia Moss of Havre, Mont., and Mary Rataiczak of Powhatan Point, Ohio; granddaughters Jamie Luna and Bobbie Bubonovich; great-grandchildren Jenny, Jessica, Jocelyn, Trevor and Justin; and many loving nieces and nephews survive her.

Larry Yorgensen
Private services will be held for Larry Yorgensen, 63, who died Jan. 22, 2007, in Pahrump.
He was born March 1, 1943, in Basalt, Idaho. He was a two-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He later worked as a painter.
His wife Kathy Yorgensen of Pahrump; daughters Michelle Clark and Keri Andersen, both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren survive him.
His parents, three brothers, one sister and one granddaughter preceded him in death.

Lillian Kusmirek
A memorial service for Lillian J. Kusmirek, 78, who died Jan. 20, 2007, in Pahrump, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
She was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Chicago, Ill. She was a 17-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Chicago.
She was a housewife of the Catholic faith.
Her husband Raymond M. Kusmirek of Pahrump; daughter Kristina M. Kempf of Ft. Collins, Colo.; son John Kusmirek of Bozeman, Mont.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren survive her.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the family.

William Payne
Services for William Styron Payne, who died Jan. 20, 2007, will be held at noon Thursday at Masonic Lodge No. 48, 720 Sky Road, in Indian Springs.
He was born Jan. 8, 1932, and worked at the Nevada Test Site for 28 years.
William was a member of the IBEW Local 357 in Las Vegas and was a past master of Masonic Lodge No. 48 in Indian Springs. He was also very active in Scottish Rite Bodies of Las Vegas, holding 32nd degree KCCH.
He enjoyed deep sea fishing and prospecting with his metal detector.
His sons Sam Payne of Texas and John Payne of Pahrump; daughter Rebecca of Washington State; and sisters Peggy Harrington and Opal Austin, both of Houston, Texas survive him.

Edna McDaniel
Services for Edna L. McDaniel, 86, who died peacefully in her Pahrump Valley home Jan. 15, 2007, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Davis Funeral Home on Eastern and Sunset in Las Vegas.
She was born Jan. 27, 1920, to Herbert and Bessie Lund in North Dakota.
She married
Vernon "Mac" McDaniel on June 15, 1940. They had three children and lived in southern Nevada for many years. She was retired from the banking industry.
She lived a long and happy life, and was a beautiful and kind lady that touched all those who were lucky enough to know her. She will be sorely missed by all.
Her sisters Louise of Montana and June of Oregon; daughter Donna Werme of Pahrump; son Douglas McDaniel of Oregon; grandchildren Wanda McDaniel, Tommy McDaniel, Steven McDaniel and Lisa Pettigrew, all of Texas, Robyn Shearer of Connecticut, Brian Werme of Pahrump, and Shanna McNay and Cindy Fitzgerald, both of Las Vegas; 13-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild survive her.
Her husband Mac and son Robert "Bob" McDaniel preceded her in death.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. (01/15/07)
Vicki Carmack
Services for Vicki Lynn Carmack, 54, who died Jan. 16, 2007, in Pahrump, will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Moose Lodge in Pahrump.
She was born Dec. 23, 1952, in Lancaster County, Pa. She was a 17-year resident of southern Nevada, coming from Chino, Calif.
She worked as a mail carrier with the U.S. Post Office. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Pahrump.
Her lifetime partner Kenneth Willett; mother Elsie (B. Ray) Johle of Pahrump; daughters Michelle (Rick) Rock of Holt, Fla., and Heather (Chuck) Coultas and Jeri (James) Monroe, both of Pahrump; brother Herbert (Fernanda) Buzzard and Terry Buzzard, both of Pennsylvania; sister Tina (David) Kreidel of Pahrump; and grandchildren Evan and Dean Monroe, Michael, Patrick and Lottie Coultas and Cheyenne and Brittany Rock survive her.
Her father Herbert Buzzard, preceded her in death.
