John McFadden
John Patrick McFadden, 85, died Jan. 4, 2007 in Las Vegas.
He was born July 23, 1921, in Butte, Mont. John originally moved to Boulder City in 1931 when his father was hired to work on Hoover Dam. He was a 75-year resident of Southern Nevada.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He later founded McFadden Insurance Agency.
His wife of 49 years Rose McFadden of Las Vegas; brother Monsignor Leo McFadden of Reno; sister Mary (Allen) Chandler of Pahrump; nephews Art (Terri) Chandler of Las Vegas and Leo (Sheryl) Chandler of Cave Creek, Ariz.; nieces Annette Chandler of Reno and Maureen Seven of Pahrump; great nieces Emily Schuldt of Los Angeles, Calif., and Sidney Chandler of Phoenix, Ariz.; and great-nephews Colin Chandler of Henderson and John Chandler of Las Vegas survive him.
His parents Patrick and Catherine and brother Frank McFadden preceded him in death.
A Mass for John will be held at 10 a.m. today at Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way.

Roberta Cazimero
A celebration of life for Roberta "Bert" K.M.M. Cazimero, 60, who died Dec. 30, 2006, will be held at her home at 11 a.m. Jan. 20, at 3730 E. Paiute Blvd. in Pahrump.
She was born Nov. 10, 1946 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a 10-year resident of Pahrump.
Bert is remembered by her husband Greg of Pahrump; mother-in-law Virginia of Pahrump; son Jeff of Las Vegas; daughter Jo-Dann of Henderson; daughter Zeniah of Las Vegas and six grandchildren.

Walter Blohm
Services for Walter B. Blohm, 81, who died Dec. 28, 2006, in Pahrump, will be held at 9:20 a.m. Friday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery in Boulder City.
He was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Muscoda, Wis. He was a 14-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
He graduated from California State University in San Jose, Calif., with a major in business.
A veteran of World War II, he served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a medical technician.
He enjoyed volunteering and served on the Nye County Election Board.
His wife of 34 years Wanda Blohm of Pahrump; sons Walter Blohm and David Blohm of California; brother Theodore R. Blohm of Elko; and grandson Walter Joshua Blohm of California survive him.

Jan Tung
Services for Jan Tung, who died Jan. 1, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 650 S. Blagg Road.
She was a loving mother and faithful friend who will be missed.

Charles Welborn Jr.
Services with military honors for Charles "Charlie" R. Welborn Jr., 76, who died Dec. 27, 2006, at Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Home cemetery in Nash, Okla.
He was born July 18, 1930, to Charles Roosevelt Welborn Sr., and Mary B. Jackson Welborn in Jackson, Miss.
Charles served his country for more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. He earned several commendations while serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He loved to travel and play golf. He will be truly missed.
His daughters Judi (Matt) Clark of Sherman, Texas, Fay (Chris) Gibson of Bakersfield, Calif., and Lois (John) Livingston of Ruston, La.; son Mel Welborn of Denver, Colo.; sisters Leona Adkisson of Pahrump, Chris (Jim) Saltzman of Pinson, Ala., and Ceclia (Buddy) McCullough of Faulkville, Ala.; grandchildren Leanna (Arnie) Peardon of Jefferson, Wis., Rob (Kim) Smith of Redondo Beach, Calif., David and Daniel Clark of Sherman, Scott (Kyla) Gibson of Nash, Okla., Dusty (Erica) Gibson of Nash, Kay Wickham of Nash, and Jason and Katherine Weitzel; 14 great-grandchildren; and five nieces survive him.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Nevada Veterans Nursing Home in Boulder City.

Robert Kruzan
A memorial service for Robert Kruzan, 79, who died Jan. 2, 2007, at home, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at South Valley Southern Baptist Church, 7050 S. Homestead Road, at Kellogg.
He was born June 29, 1927, in Terre Haute, Ind. He was a 20-year resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He later retired from Downy Unified, where he worked as a school teacher.
His nephews Ken Notter of California, Dallas Notter of New Hampshire and Duane Notter of Indiana; and niece Sally Hanks of California survive him. (01/02/07)
Barbara Langford
Services for Barbara Langford, 76, who died Dec. 31, 2006, in Houston, Texas, will be held Friday in Houston.
She was born March 1, 1930. She was a 12-year resident of Pahrump.
She was a member of St. Martin's in the Desert Episcopal Church.
Her husband Horace Langford Sr., of Houston; sons David A. Langford of Teaneck, N.J., and Horace Langford Jr., of Pahrump; and daughter Donna M. Aframian of Glendale, Calif., survive her.
Her son Darryl A. Langford preceded her in death. (12/31/06)
Betty Farrell
Services for Betty Jane Farrell, 67, who died Dec. 21, 2006, in Pahrump, will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 13 at Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 Vicki Ann road.
She was born June 9, 1939, in New Jersey. She was a two-year resident of Pahrump, coming from New Jersey.
Her husband Eugene Farrell of Pahrump; son James Asnbach of New Jersey; two stepsons and two stepdaughters, all of New Jersey; brothers Eugene Brady of New Jersey and Boo Boo Brady of Florida; sisters Gloria and Florence, both of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and 13 grandchildren survive her.
Her parents, daughter and 10 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. (12/21/06)
Karen Anderson
Karen Maria Anderson, 66, a long-time resident of Goldpoint, died Feb. 20, 2007.
She was born Sept. 22, 1940.
Her father Irvin Anderson; son Paul McCain; grandson Christopher McCain; daughter Elizabeth Adkinson and sister Ronda Mendenhall survive her.
She will be missed by all who knew her. (02/20/07)
Charles 'Dan' Lewis
Charles "Dan" Lewis, 74, died Feb. 21, 2007, in Las Vegas.
He was born July 23, 1932, in California. He was a 20-year Beatty resident, coming from Berkeley, Calif.
He was in the Merchant Marines and worked as a merchant seaman.
He set sail at the age of 14 and traveled around the world 22 times. Dan loved his life at sea and when he was off the ship, he loved the desert. He was an avid gun enthusiast and loved his old cars.
His daughters Alice (Pete McLaughlin) Alred of Rocklin, Calif., and Joan Broadway of Penryn, Calif.; grandchildren Wendy Dahrab and Branson (Sara) Long, of Oceanside, Calif.; and great-grandchildren Naah Dahrab, Brandon Dawson and Ajaya Long of Oceanside survive him.

Tamara Buchanan
Services for Tamara Lee Buchanan, 34, who died Feb. 22, 2007, in Clark County, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pahrump Family Mortuary, with burial to follow at 11 a.m. at Chief Tecopa cemetery.
She was born March 16, 1972, in Las Vegas. She graduated from Basic High School in 1990 and held an associate's degree in criminal law. She was a 13-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
She worked as a nail technician and was a soccer coach and member of the honor society.
Her children Leah Buchanan, 15, Dana Ayala, 13, and Robert G. Ayala, 8, all of Pahrump; stepchildren Zach Lefferts and Haley Lefferts, both of Pahrump; parents Timothy and Marsha Buchanan of Henderson; brothers Joseph B. and Timothy L. Buchanan Jr., both of Las Vegas; aunts Debbie Caeson and Pamela Creger; five nieces and nephews; Calvin Lefferts of Pahrump; great aunt Babe (Calvin) Monk; and best friends Tracy and Paula survive her.

Floyd Edwards
A private family service will be held for Floyd I. Edwards, 73, who died Feb. 19, 2007, in Pahrump.
He was born Jan. 20, 1934, in Sparta, N.C. He was a 13-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Willard, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Army and later worked for the government, retiring in 1974.
His wife Sarah S. Edwards of Pahrump; daughter Betty J. Correll of Las Vegas and son-in-law Larry H. Correll of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren survive him.
His parents, George and Flora Edwards, three sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.
Donations in his memory may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
