Wilbur Crocker

Wilbur Crocker, 77, passed away August 11, 2007 in Vail Colo.

He was born in Nickerson, Neb.

In 2000, he retired as a Master welder, having received his education from Boise State College and San Jose State College.

He was a resident of Pahrump and of the Mormon faith.

Daughters, Jane Sobalvarro and Janet Martinez both of Las Vegas and sons, Gerry Crocker and Robyn Crocker both of Pahrump, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren survive him.

He is preceded in death by wife, Lillian Crocker, siblings; Glosna Grugg, Orville Crocker, Nova Rosedahl and Favoral Soderling.

A viewing Aug. 18 at 10 a.m., and services at 11 a.m. will be held at Pahrump Family Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Crocker family, 1671 W. Von Dell Drive, Pahrump, 89048. (08/11/07)

Raymond Jentz

Raymond Jentz, 79, passed away August 7, 2007 in Pahrump.

He was born in North Dakota, was an avid outdoors man and of the Methodist faith.

Military service in the Marines and Army led to his service during World War II and the Korean War.

His wife, Jeanna Jentz of Pahrump, daughters; Ilene Chaix of Dayton, Marjorie Nibert of California and Paula Jentz and Cheryl Jentz both of Pahrump, son; Gregory Jentz of Idaho, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren survive him. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Jentz and Marjorie Austin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump. (08/07/07)

Jean Eberwein

Sterling, Alaska, resident, Mrs. Jean Elizabeth (DeMun) Eberwein, 83, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.

Private family services were held.

Mrs. Eberwein was born June 21, 1924, in New York. She married Kenneth Eberwein in 1944, making their home in San Diego, Calif., until 1968. Together they traveled via the military to the Marshall Islands from 1956 to 1957, to Saigon from 1963 to1964, Taipei, Taiwan from 1965 to 1966, until moving to Fairview, Ore., in 1968. While living in Fairview she volunteered at the Fairview Elementary School. They moved to Pahrump in 1990 and resided here until 2004. She and her husband Ken have lived in Sterling, Alaska, for the last three years. Mrs. Eberwein was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3440 in Bandon, Ore., and later transferred to the Post 10054 in Pahrump.

The family wrote, "She will be greatly missed."

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Kenneth Eberwein of Sterling, Alaska; daughter Barbara Vogt of Snowflake, Ariz.; son Roger Eberwein of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren Robin Warren of Anchorage, Alaska, DeAnna Martindale of Bandon, Ore., Kenneth and Eric Vogt of Snowflake, Ariz., Jodi Painter of Sterling, Alaska, Angelique Eberwein, Jolene Tryon, Stephanie Belarde, and Timothy Eberwein all of Colorado Springs, Colo; 19 greatgrandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and countless loving friends. Robert E. McInerney

Robert E. McInerney, 74, passed away Aug. 1, 2007, in Pahrump.

He was born Sept. 30, 1932, and was a three-year resident of Pahrump. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 32 years, and held a bachelor of science degree.

His wife Sylvia McInerney of Pahrump; daughter Kathleen Latham of Vass, N.C., daughter Dianna Sullivan of Las Vegas, sons John McInerney and Robert McInerney, both of California; daughter Angela Lopez, 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren survive him.

His parents, two brothers and one sister, preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Willow Creek Golf Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club. (08/01/07)

Robert Burns

Robert (Bob) Burns, 64, passed away Aug. 5, 2007, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.

He was born October 4, 1942, and was a three-year resident of Pahrump. He was a retired carpenter.

His daughter, Julie Burns, of Beaumont, Calif., sons Gene Burns, of California; and Jeff Burns and John Burns, both of Arizona; sister Betty Land of Nevada and sister Marianne Burns of Alaska, and five grandchildren survive him.

His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by La Palaoma of Las Vegas. (08/05/07)

Charles Isenhower

Charles E. Isenhower, 72, passed away July 14, 2007, in Boulder City,

He was born Aug. 14, 1934, and was a 16-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy for 31 years and worked as a supervisor for L.A. Power and Water. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion, and was of the Baptist faith.

His wife Delores Isenhower of Pahrump; daughters Janice (Stan) Deichen and Doris Isenhower, both of California; son Machel (Karen) Isenhower of California; sister Betty (David) Michelis of Oregon; sister-in-law Alyce Isenhower of Pahrump; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren survive him.

His parents, one brother and stepmother preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 at Pahrump Family Mortuary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation. (07/14/07)

Kenneth Brucklacher

Private family services will be held for Kenneth David Brucklacher, 72, who passed away July 31, 2007, in Las Vegas.

He was born Sept. 21, 1934 in Green Bay, Wis., and was a 17-year resident of Pahrump, coming for Sacramento, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and worked in quality assurance for the U.S. Government until retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the National Fishing Lures Collectors Club, the Fishing Reel Collectors Club and Escapee Co-op.

His wife Bernadino C. Brucklacher of Pahrump; sons James L. Brucklacher of Sacramento, Calif., Patrick C. Brucklacher of Las Vegas, Jeffrey S. Brucklacher of Sacramento and Timothy T. Brucklacher of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter Susan A. Giglio of Las Vegas; sister Joan Crews of Tyler, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren survive him.

His father Eugeno Brucklacher, mother Katherine A. Brucklacher and son Michael S. Brucklacher preceded him in death. (07/31/07

John Fronk

John Lyle Fronk, 51, passed away Aug. 1, 2007, in Las Vegas.

He was born Oct. 1, 1955, in Williamsport, Pa., to John C. and Marilyn Fronk. He graduated from Morse High School in San Diego in 1973 and from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa., in 1977. He worked as a lab technician for the Southern Nevada Water District before retiring.

His parents, John C. and Marilyn Fronk of Pahrump; sister Merri (Steve) Boyle of Billings, Mont.; brothers Keith (Yolanda) of Brookline, N.H., Mark (Carol) of Las Vegas, Scott (Debbie) Pahrump, and Jeffry of Billings, Mont.; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and good friends Marc and Bill of Las Vegas survive him.

John was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. (08/01/07)

Shirley Garber

Shirley D. Garber (Rhodes) went home July 30, 2007.

She was born July 23, 1935, in Pollack, Idaho. She worked as a private nurse before retiring.

Her daughters Rebecca Garber and Vaunnette (Jerry) Fairbank; two grandchildren, J.D. (Kim) Fairbank and Aletha Fairbank; and 11 great-grandchildren survive her.

Services and interment will be in Boise, Idaho. (07/30/07)

Althea Patton

Althea "Sam" Patton, 73, passed away July 24, 2007, in Pahrump.

She was born Oct. 7, 1933, in Pharr, Texas. She was a five-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Kansas. She worked as an insurance underwriter and was of the Methodist faith.

She was involved in the Women's Business Association in her earlier years. "Sam" had many friends in her retirement community who will miss her dearly.

Her daughters Mary (Eldon) Jones of Oklahoma, Cathy (Donnie) Koogler of Missouri, Cindy (Mark) Carey of Florida, and Barbara Patton of Missouri; son John (Lisa) Patton of Las Vegas; and 16 grandchildren survive her.

A memorial service was held July 29 with interment at Chief Tecopa cemetery. Lee Funeral Home handled the arrangements. (07/24/07)

Diane Smith

A memorial service for Diane Smith, 53, who passed away July 27, 2007, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Aug. 2, at Lee Funeral Home chapel.

She was born Jan. 25, 1954, in Michigan. She was a six-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Boulder City, and worked as a dealer in the casino industry. She was of the Catholic faith.

Diane was involved in the support of Vietnam veteran wives. She had many friends in Pahrump who will miss her dearly.

Her son Jeremy Smith of Illinois; daughter Melissa England of Illinois; sister Gayla Andrews of Pahrump; niece Nina Hamilton of Pahrump; great-niece Arianna of Pahrump; and two grandchildren survive her.

Her mother, father and a brother preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump. Lee Funeral Home handled the arrangements. (07/27/07)

Nathan Kelsay III

Nathan Braxton Kelsay III was born June 10, 1940, in Columbia, Ky. He departed this earth July 21, 2007.

Nathan joined the U.S. Navy at age 17 and retired as chief petty officer in 1976. He then moved to Las Vegas, where his sons met up with him in 1981. He was a real estate broker, world traveler and belonged to many organizations.

Nathan was a proud husband, father and grandfather.

His wife Barbara Allen Kelsay, her son Jason (Jodi) Allen, and her daughter Carey (Jason) Greiner; his sons Major Kenneth (Emily) Kelsay, Kevin (Diana) Kelsay, and Kerry (Tammie) Kelsay; grandchildren Alexis Hoff, Daniel (Jessica) Kelsay, William Hoff, Erica Hoff, William Jones, Krystal Hoff, Kaydee Kelsay, Kendra Kelsay, Joshua Kelsay and baby Carson Allen survive him.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Aug. 1, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery in Boulder City. Donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in his honor.

Nathan was a great man and will be missed and remembered dearly by all of those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace. (07/21/07)

Christopher Frehner

Services for Christopher Terry Frehner, 24, who died Saturday, April 21, 2007, in a tragic four-wheeling accident near Logandale, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Overton Nevada Stake Center.

He was born Dec. 8, 1982, in Las Vegas to Edward Terry and Sherrie Dianna Hunt Frehner. On Feb. 18, 2006, he married his best friend Rachel Lynn Miller in Las Vegas.

Chris lived most of his life in North Las Vegas and Las Vegas. He grew up riding with his parents in their 18- wheeler, riding four-wheelers and taking care of his favorite pet cow, "Dinky." It was a simple life, perfect for a little boy.

As he got older, his love for the outdoors and working with equipment continued. He could fix any piece of equipment and he loved to fish and ride four-wheelers with his daughter. He was always loving and caring. He had a great personality, he was charming and he was a good daddy and husband. Chris had a beautiful, bright smile and a loving heart for anyone in need.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel of Logandale; one daughter, Alexi Lynn and one unborn son, Garrett Christopher; his parents, Terry and Sherrie of Overton; his grandparents, Edward "Ted" Frehner of Pahrump; Alice Frehner of Las Vegas; Irene Leavitt Hunt of Las Vegas; one sister, Sarah Anne (Chris) Morley of Overton and one brother, James "Jimmy" Edward of Overton.

Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Moapa Valley Mortuary and again from 11:30-12:30 p.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Logandale cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary. (04/21/07)
