Dolores Sandoval
Evelyn Dolores Sandoval, 75, passed away Oct. 8, 2007 in Las Vegas.
She was born Nov. 23, 1931 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Dolores and her husband moved to Pahrump in March of 2000 from North Las Vegas and were previous residents of Agoura, Calif.
Dolores was a member of the Red Hat Society Rabble Rousers and the Pahrump Gunfighters since 2005. In California, she was a member of the American Legion Sweethearts, Hughes Aircraft Retirees Association, Manual Arts High School Alumni, Tommy Toilers Club, publicity director for the Golden State Mobile home Owners League and her "honey's" secretary for everything else.
Dolores retired from Hughes Aircraft Company as an Engineering Specialist in 1988 after 38 years of employment.
Sandy and Dolores were parents to five children; sons Kenneth and Michael (Pat); daughters Beverlee (Tony) Cruz, Diedre (Bob) Studholme and Debra (Jerry) Marott.
There are 9 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband Alphonso J. "Sandy" Sandoval, brothers Richard and Edwin; sister Arlene and her parents preceded her in death.

Layron Christensen
Beloved father and grandfather, Layron Christensen passed away Oct. 3, 2007 in Las Vegas. He was born April 6, 1926 to Ellis and Rosella Pollock Christensen in Lynndyl, Utah.
He graduated from Cedar High School and spent two years at Southern Utah College.
Layron married
Fayon Davis on May 8, 1948, and had four children. He valiantly served his country during WWII as a corporal in the Air Force. He was a master woodworker and loved to research family history. Layron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and fulfilled his callings as a High Priest.
He was always known to be the gentlest of God's children and will forever be remembered by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Fayon; children Steve (DeDe) Christensen of Tempe, Ariz., Jeanne (Rick) Church of Pahrump, Pete (Kori) Christensen of Henderson and Linda (Lee) Poff of Henderson; one brother Dale (Margie) Christensen of Pahrump; 15 grandchildren, and 25 great- grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Marvin Christensen, Maynard Christensen and Jack Christensen; his sister Coy Berry and son Kurt Christensen.
Funeral services will be held on Oct. 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the Pahrump LDS Church.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the Kanarraville cemetery in Kanarraville, Utah at 5 p.m. under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. (10/03/07)
Doris Morani
Services for Doris Morani, 91, who passed away Sept. 30, 2007 in Pahrump, will be held at noon on Oct 5. at Southern Nevada Veterans cemetery.
She was born Aug. 30, 1916 in Wakita, Okla. and was of the Catholic faith.
She lived in Pahrump for seven and a half years, moving here from Las Vegas.
Her daughter Pauline Goss of Pahrump; granddaughters Tammy Wooldridge and Misty Amador of Las Vegas; grandsons Richard McSwain of Las Vegas and Daniel McSwain of Pahrump; great-granddaughter Angelique Wooldridge of Honolulu, Hawaii; great-grandsons Alex Wooldridge and James Gardiner of Las Vegas and Danny McSwain of Pahrump survive her.
Her sister Willis Moore of Waco, Texas preceded her in death.

Sandra Fullbright
Sandra Carol Fullbright, 63, passed away Oct. 3, 2007 in Las Vegas.
She was born June 17, 1944 in Nebraska.
Fullbright was a resident of Pahrump since 1975, worked as a bookkeeper and was of the Protestant faith.
Daughters Bobbie (Mike) Sullivan, Sandie Masoner and Cylene (Brad) Ward and granchildren Jeff, Mitch, Nicole and Haley survive her.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., Oct. 5 at the Lee Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump. (10/03/07)
Niske Janssen
Niske Jannsen, 78, of Morrison, Ill., passed away Nov. 12, 2007 in Pleasant View Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 24, 1929 in Enschede, Holland to Remolt and Derkien Vos Biemold.
Janssen was educated in Holland and in 1950, married
Arnold Janssen who passed away April 29, 2005.
She was employed with General Electric Co. in Morrison, Ill. for 20 years. Following retirement, she and her husband lived in Pahrump for 15 years. She returned to Morrison, Ill after the death of her husband.
She is survived by daughter Deeny (Steve) Siefken of Morrison, Ill.; son Arnie (Suzanne) Janssen of Bastrop, Texas; sister Rollie Smit of Holland; brother Aldert Biemold of Holland; five grandchildren Tara (Erik) Blumhoff, Mandy (Paul) Freeman, Jeff (Melissa) Siefken, Vicki Janssen and Steven Janssen; two step-grandchildren Jennifer and Michael Albert and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and five brothers.
There will be no visitation and no services.

Nikki Diane Marsh
Nikki Diane Marsh, 51, passed away Nov. 11, 2007 in Pahrump.
She was born March 27, 1956 in North Carolina and was a resident of Pahrump for 12 years, having come from Florida.
Marsh was a homemaker and a member of Jesus Christ Church of Ladder Day Saints.
Her parents Larry and Mary Jenkins; husband Robin Marsh of Florida; daughters Melissa Marsh and Shannon Knight; sons Robin Marsh Jr.; and Michael Marsh; sisters Vikki, Ginger and Joni; brother Harry Zane of California; six grandchildren and numerous aunts and uncles survive her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m., Nov. 16 at the LDS Church with the burial to follow at 11 a.m. at Grandview cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the children of the family. (11/11/07)
Melba Jo Francis
Melba Jo Francis, 73, passed away Oct. 28, 2007.
She was born July 30, 1934 in Grandfield, Okla., and was an 8 year resident of Pahrump.
She enjoyed supporting foundations like Feed the Children and Paralyzed Veterans.
Her sister Jean Williams and her five children: Dwaine (Sherlynne) Overby, Glen Phipps, Anthony Francis and Robyne Francis; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren survive her.
Services are private. (10/28/07)
Gerald "Jerry" Lizon
Gerald "Jerry" Lizon, 77, passed away Nov. 13, 2007 in Pahrump.
He was born April 7, 1930 in Wisconsin and was a resident of Pahrump for 33 years, having come from California.
Lizon worked as an engineer for the Nevada Test Site until he retired in 1994.
He was a Mason, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, having served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War; a member of the Moose and the Lions.
Lizon was a graduate of National University San Diego in California.
His daughter Sharon Wehrly of Pahrump; sisters Lois Bunnow and Marilyn, both of Wisconsin; brother Robert Lizon also of Wisconsin; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Verna and Stanley Lizon and his wife Dana M. Gordon.
Visitation will 10-12 p.m., followed by services 12-1 p.m. at the Masons Lodge. Graveside service is 1:30 at the Chief Tecopa cemetery. (11/13/07)
Charles W. Marchinke
Charles W. Marchinke, 86, passed away Nov. 11, 2007 at his home in Pahrump.
He was born Feb. 20 1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and grew up in Liverpool, N.Y.
Before retiring in Pahrump, "Charlie" lived in Santa Barbara and San Diego, California.
He was one of the last members of the "greatest generation," and a veteran of World War II and Korea.
Charlie was a member of the carpenter's union in San Diego, California, and after retiring, he and his wife Barbara moved to Pahrump in 1997.
He was an avid Dodgers fan.
His wife Barbara; sons Gary (Linda) Marchinke and Bobby (Amy) Eno; daughters Patty (Russ) Watkins and Linda (Russ) Howard and granddaughters Barbara Watkins and Jennifer Inga survive him.
He was preceded in death by daughter Kathleen and grandson Kevin.
A celebration of his life will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday Nov. 24, at the Escapees RV Park.
He will be interred at the Veterans cemetery, Boulder City. Services will be private. (11/11/07)
Terry Boucher
Services for Terry "Tony" Boucher, 59, who passed away Oct. 19, 2007 in Las Vegas will be held at 1 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home Chapel.
He was born June 19, 1948 in Lapeer, Mich. and was a 26 year resident of Pahrump.
His occupation was as an iron worker and he served for four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa.
His wife Helen of 16 years; daughters Ruth (Erich) Schuerger and Bridget Boucher; son Orvin Orebaugh, sister Sherri Wisneski; seven grandchildren and many friends survive him.
His son Sean Boucher; brother George Boucher and his mom and dad preceded him in death.
Lee Funeral Home, located at 720 S. Buol Lane handled the arrangements. (10/19/2007)
