Barbara Verona Backman
Barbara Verona Backman progressed from this life into the arms of our heavenly father on the evening of May 10, 2004, at home with her family.
She was born July 9, 1939, in Standardville, Utah, to Frank and Opal Toth.
She had one sister, Beverley, who along with her father, Frank, and her first born, Franky Lee, preceded her in death.
Bobbie's first love in life was her family.
Her interests included poetry, art, music, animals, fishing and watching sports.
Her love for antiques started after moving to Elko in the 1960s and going with her family to dig for old bottles in the ghost towns of northeastern Nevada.
She and her family lived in Elko for over 30 years, but currently reside in Jerome, Idaho.
She is survived by her mother, Opal; her five children, Jim, Frank, Opal, Lisa and Laura (Mike); her seven grandchildren, Jessica, Austin, Sarah, Amanda, Korbin, Samantha and Rebecca; and one great-granddaughter, Tyra, making Bobbie so very proud to be number two in five generations of girls.
She is forever missed and will be remembered for her dignity and wisdom, the love she so freely gave to everyone, and her ability to find the good in all.
There will always be a special place in our hearts where she will remain forever, and a missing piece that she has taken with her until we reunite and are whole again.
Thank you to all her friends for all their love and support.
