Zella Gier

A memorial service for Zella Mae Gier, 77, who died May 22 in Pahrump, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Moose Lodge No. 808, Pahrump.
She was born Sept. 16, 1922 in West Virginia.
She worked as a pharmacy clerk and came to Pahrump from Spokane 17 years ago.
She was a Woman of the Moose.
She is survived by four sons, Marvin Jr. of Spokane, Jeffrey of Henderson and Roger and Ronald, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Patricia Beranek of Gilbert, Ariz., Louise Welch of Spokane, Margaret Lamb of Great Falls, Mont., and Evelyn Noret of Pahrump; a brother, Edward Settle of Baxley, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Patricia Lancaster
Date of death: May 19, 2000
Patricia V. Lancaster, 81, died May 19 in Pahrump.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Pahrump Family Mortuary chapel.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery, Boulder City.
She was born March 9, 1919, in Massachusetts.
She was a two-year resident of Pahrump who came to the valley from Las Vegas.
She worked as a waitress and belonged to the Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mack of Pahrump; five sons, Bill of Massachusetts, Paul Hargrove and Ron Hargrove, both of Illinois, Michael Hargrove of California and David Khalsa of New Mexico; four daughters, Patricia Silva of New Hampshire, Pollyanna Buneta of Pahrump, Linda Rivard of Massachusetts and Pam Siegenthaler of California; a brother, Bill Savoy of Massachusetts; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A son, Buddy Hargrove, preceded her in death.
Jan Clark
Date of death: May 10, 2000
A memorial service for Jan Keifer Clark, 53, who died May 10 in Pahrump, will be held at a later date.
She was born Sept. 7, 1946 in Long Beach, Calif.
She worked as a bank teller and was a resident of Pahrump since October, coming to Nevada from Washington.
She belonged to the Catholic Church, enjoyed staying in touch with friends, and was a collector.
She is survived by her father, Walter Keifer of Pahrump; her husband, Mark of Pahrump; three sons, Pip of Pahrump, Andrew of Missoula, Mont., and Nick of St. Augustine, Fla.; a daughter, Amy of Pahrump; two sisters, Teresa (David) Keifer of Federal Way, Wash., and Marsha (David) Franzen of Yorba Linda, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Orville Crask
A memorial service for Orville Adam Crask, 67, who died April 15, 2000 in his home, will be held at 7 p.m. today in the Pahrump Family Mortuary Chapel.
He served in the U.S. Navy 21 years, retiring in 1974 and moving to the Bozeman, Mont., area because it reminded him of Colorado.
He moved to Pahrump in 1992 to escape Montana taxes and winters, but he still enjoyed spending his summers in Oregon and Montana.
He was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and rock hounding.
He is survived by his wife, Lona of Pahrump; two sisters, Marilyn Threkeld of Oklahoma and May Wilkens of Oregon; his children, Deanna Crask-Stone, Robert, Paula McLeod, Tom, Laura Smith, Bill and Patrick; and 10 grandchildren.
His parents, two brothers, and a grandson preceded him in death.

Charles McGowan
Private services have been held for Charles McGowan, 79, who died April 11, 2000 in Las Vegas.
He was born June 9, 1920, in El Reno, Okla. He owned a landscaping company and was a resident of Pahrump since 1991, coming to the valley from Las Vegas.
He was a 44-year resident of southern Nevada.
His wife, Norma of Pahrump, and brother-in-law George Manss of Las Vegas survive him.
Fred Williams
Fred Williams, 59, died April 11, 2000 in Las Vegas.
He was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Eaton Township, Pa.
He served in the Marine Corps, then worked in law enforcement.
He was retired from the Reno Police Dept.
He came to Pahrump from Reno two years ago.
He belonged to the NRA and Elks.
He is survived by his mother, Lucy of Factoryville, Pa.; special friend Andra Braden of Pahrump; a daughter, Kali of Pahrump; two brothers, Roger of Factoryville and Carl of Juneau, Alaska; and three sisters, Dorothy Williams-Sorensen of Factoryville, Alice Williams Novembrino of Burlington, Vt., and Sara of Fairbanks, Alaska.
Louise Gregoris
Visitation for Louise Gregoris, 87, who died April 17, 2000 in Henderson, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Pahrump Family Mortuary chapel.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Hayward, Calif.
She was born Aug. 22, 1912 in Udina, Italy.
She worked as a floral arranger before retiring 23 years ago.
She lived in Carson City prior to moving to Las Vegas in 1987.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie (Harlan) Henderson of Las Vegas; a sister, Maria of Italy; two brothers, Angelo of Wellington and Benito of France; and two grandchildren.
