Ronald Wright
Visitation for Ronald Dale Wright, 53, who died July 25 in Clearlake, Calif., will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Oasis Outreach, 4760 S. Pahrump Valley Boulevard.
He was born Dec. 4, 1949 in Grant, N.M., and was a 20-year resident of Pahrump.
He worked as a water driller for Thompson Drilling and was a member of Southern Cruisers of Nevada and Pathfinders. He was a member of Oasis Mission Seventh Day Adventist Church.
His wife Melody of Pahrump; parents Bonnie and Harold Wright of California; brother Glenn Wright of North Carolina; sister Brenda Wright of California; son Wesley Wright of North Carolina; daughter Stephanie Wright of California; stepson Bob Hinslea of California; and five grandchildren survive him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oasis Outreach Pathfinders. A trust account will also be set up at Bank of America.

Vern Solomon
A memorial service for Vern G. Solomon, 75, who died Aug. 5 in Las Vegas, will be held in Pahrump at a later date. Interment will be in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born July 17, 1928, in Salt Lake City, and was a resident of Pahrump since 1994.
He worked as a superintendent in the manufacturing field before his retirement. He was a member and prior treasurer of the Men's Golf Association at Willow Creek and was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in Salt Lake City.
His wife Barbara of Pahrump; daughters Sandra Venezia of Castle Rock, Colo., and Jennifer Belcher of Greenville, S.C.; brother James Solomon of Pahrump; stepdaughter Kathy Talmage of Cheyenne, Wyo.; stepsons Richard Childs of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Blair Childs of Ogden, Utah; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren survive him.

Edward Oehler
Services have been held for Edward P. Oehler, 77, who died July 16 in Las Vegas.
He was born March 17, 1926 in Chicago, and was a 40-year resident of Las Vegas. He worked as a keno writer for the hotel casino industry before retiring.
His daughters Nina Jansen and Vicki Cole, both of Pahrump; son Ralph Oehler of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and one great grandchild survive him. (7/16/03)
David Rogers
Services for David William Rogers, 50, who died July 20 in Pahrump, will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Pahrump Family Mortuary chapel.
He was born Jan. 20, 1953 in St. Paul, Minn., and was a six-year resident of Pahrump coming from Lolo, Mont.
He served in the U.S. Army and then worked as an operating engineer with Southern Nevada Paving.
He was a member of the Nevada Water Color Society and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. A Christian, he attended New Hope Fellowship in Pahrump.
His wife Victoria of Pahrump; son Dustin (Jessica) Rogers of Lolo; daughter Savanah (Chad) Nelson of Ludington, Mich.; stepson Jayce MacDonald of Pahrump; father Harold Rogers of Ocean Park, Wash.; mother Floretta (Percy) Hartl of Libby, Mont.; brother Donald (Joanne) Rogers of Puyallup, Wash.; sisters Debbie (Bill) Menne of St. Paul, Minn. And Lori (Blaine) Rogers of Worden, Mont.; grandchildren Chloe, Gabe and Tobyn; and several nieces and nephews survive him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club.

Clovis Cates
Services are pending for Clovis Cates, 88, who died July 22 in Keokuk, Iowa.
He was born July 15, 1915 in McKinney, Texas, and was longtime resident of Pahrump before moving to Keokuk 15 months ago.
He served in the U.S. Army for 22 years as an equestrian trainer. After retiring from the Army in 1955, he worked as a civil servant.
He enjoyed horses, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His son Robert Cates of Pahrump; granddaughters Erin (Kenny) Gronewold or Warsaw, Ill., Ginnie (Dennis) Miller of Seattle, Wash., and Tina Cates of Las Vegas; grandsons Adam (Heidi) Cates of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Jeremy (Laura) Cates of Bastrop, Texas, and Clovis Kim Cates of Nevada; and seven great grandchildren survive him.
His wife Julia, son Clovis Allen and daughter Cloveta Kay preceded him in death.

Sandra Bellamy
Services have been held for Sandra Jean Bellamy, 59, who died Aug. 7 in Blue Springs, Mo.
She was born in San Francisco, and lived most of her life in the Jackson County area of Missouri before moving to Pahrump. She was employed as a caregiver.
Her daughter, Jina Bellamy of Greenwood, Mo.; sons Fred (Anna) Bellamy of Blue Springs, and Mark (Nelda) Bellamy of Buckner, Mo.; parents Bill and Caroline Fagg of Pahrump; sister Susan (Robert) Moore of Pahrump; grandchildren Kristi and Christopher Bellamy; niece Angelina Jepson; and former husband Freddie Bellamy survive her.
Her brother Timothy Martines preceded her in death.
Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Birdette DeVore
Funeral services for Birdette DeVore, 93, who died July 27 in Pahrump, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Bunker Mortuary Chapel in Las Vegas. The family will receive guests beginning at 9 a.m.
She was born May 19, 1910 in Vicksburg, Miss., and was a resident of Pahrump since 1955.
She was a homemaker and past member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Her son, Stan Goldsby, of Pahrump survives her.

James Logsdon
Private family services have been held for James Logsdon, 72, who died Aug. 2 in Las Vegas.
He was born Oct. 18, 1930, in De Leon, Texas. He moved to Pahrump in 2001, coming from Sweetwater, Texas.
He worked as an oil field supervisor before retiring.
His sons James Logsdon of Idaho and Richard Logsdon of Pahrump; daughters Marilyn Gripp and Carolynn Logsdon, both of Pahrump; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren survive him.

Ruth Niemi
Private family services have been held for Ruth Niemi, 85, who died July 31 in Las Vegas.
She was born Sept. 28, 1917 in Cardale, Pa. She lived in Pahrump from 1997 to 1999 coming from Ohio. She returned to Ohio in 1999 and moved back to Pahrump in July.
She was self employed as a beauty operator and was of the Catholic faith. She belonged to the Loyal Baseball Boosters in Ohio, and enjoyed bingo, crocheting, knitting and sewing.
Her son Wayne (Carmella) Niemi of Warren, Ohio; daughters Christine (Charles) Worley of Warren, Elrita (Bobby) Nichols of Pahrump, and Natalie (Edward) Valley of Poland, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren survive her.

Anthony Ricigliano
Graveside services for Anthony D. Ricigliano, 84, who died Aug. 6 in Las Vegas, will be held at noon today at Southern Nevada Veterans cemetery.
He was born Jan. 26, 1919, in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a 19-year resident of Pahrump. He worked as an engineer in the dry cleaning industry before retiring.
His daughter Patricia Gunn of Miami; son Donald Ricigliano of Pahrump; brother Michael Ricigliano of Las Vegas; sisters Teresa Grosso of Buffalo and Maryland Ricigliano of Palm Springs, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren survive him.

Doris Robichaud
A memorial services for Doris Mae Robichaud, 78, who died Aug. 8 in Pahrump, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.
She was born May 29, 1925, in Superior, Wisc., and was a resident of Pahrump for five years, coming from Las Vegas.
She worked as a key punch operator for Central Co-Op and was a foster parent to 17 children.
She belonged to Grace Christian Fellowship.
Her husband John Robichaud of Pahrump; daughters Jane Economos of Minnesota, Kathy Robichaud, Jill Dionne and Roxanne Carrow, all of Las Vegas; son Kenneth Robichaud of Utah; 15 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren survive her.

Joseph Barela
Visitation for Joseph Alvin Barela, 51, who died Aug. 27 in Pahrump, will be from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday at the Neptune Society Chapel. Services will follow at 5 p.m.
He was born Jan. 23, 1953, in Trinchera, Colo. He moved to Pahrump in 1986 coming from Death Valley.
He worked as a Natural Resource Specialist for the National Park Service.
His wife Susan of Pahrump; sons Edward Barela of Tyler, Texas, Michael Barela of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Fernando Chaidez of Pahrump; daughters Tina (John) Djurdjevich of Ft. Wayne, Jessica (Chris) Corley of Winnemucca, and Victoria Barela of Pahrump; brother Billy Barela; sisters Annabelle Parsons, Irene Reynolds, Sophia (Bruce) Delzer, Betty (Charles) Stires, Beatrice (Harley) Becknall, Charlene (Ralph) Pilkenton, Laura (Charles) Mock, and Dorothy (Ted) Serafin; and nine grandchildren survive him.
