He was a member of Sigma Chi at Syracuse University and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 1 in Syracuse. He was a Syracuse Little League coach at Barry Park. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Army Reserve. His wife, the former Lysbeth Coil, died in 1989.Survivors: Two sons, Eric of Skaneateles and Donald of Greenbelt, Md.; a grandson. Graveside services: Will be in Santa Fe, N.M. No calling hours. Bernard W. Adsit, 86, of Baldwinsville died Wednesday at Syracuse Home Association in Baldwinsville. Born in Lysander, he was a life resident of the Baldwinsville area. He retired from Byrne Dairy in Syracuse and had been milk plant manager at Barnes Dairy in Baldwinsville. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville. He was past governor and a life member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 644 and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 153. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His first wife, Thelma M., died in 1978; his second wife, the former Mabel Doran, died in 1997.Survivors: A stepdaughter, Alice M. Chapin of Baldwinsville; two stepsons, Thomas A. and Michael F. He retired after 23 years as a probation officer with the Onondaga County Probation Department. He was a 17-year member of the Marcellus Volunteer Fire Department & Ambulance Corps, post commander of Baldwinsville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 153, past master of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge 524, Marcellus, and a member of the Liverpool Elks Club. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 17 years, Florence J.; a daughter, Tracey Baur of California; three stepdaughters, Florence Anderson of Baldwinsville, Laura Kean of Albany, and Lisa Hardwick of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Robert of Marcellus; two stepsons, Timothy Kean of Savannah, Ga., and Thomas Kean of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Mitz May of Palm Bay, Fla.; seven grandchildren. Ronald E. Ezzo, 74, of Westvale, known professionally as Ron Curtis, died Thursday. He was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He attended Solvay High School and Syracuse University. He was a broadcaster for 58 years, including 41 years at WTVH-TV Channel 5. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and was a eucharistic minister and a member of its Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Syracuse Press Club. He was a first lay lector in the Catholic Diocese of Syracuse. He served in the National Guard as a second lieutenant. Survivors: His wife, the former Joan A. Bierhardt; two daughters, Sandra Ezzo of Camillus and Ann Betts of Westvale; two sons, Ronald C. of Skaneateles and Richard J. of Boston; three grandchildren. He retired in 1994 after 27 years at Bristol Myers-Squibb and also worked at Deli-Boy. He was a former coach and officer of Eastwood Little League and the Eastwood Bears. He was a member of the Bristol Myers-Squibb 25 Year Club and a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 39 years, the former Judith Blazek; a daughter, Dina Williams of Syracuse; two sons, Anthony of Memphis and Daniel of Portland, Texas; two sisters, Yolanda DiPino of Camillus and Amy Grosso of Southwood; three grandchildren.
