He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 369, Stone-Davis American Legion Post 384 and Masonic Lodge 136, all in Mexico. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 53 years, the former Lucy Polczak; a son, James of Mexico; a daughter, Barbara Fishman of Atlanta; five grandchildren. He retired in 1990 after 10 years as a mechanic at the Clinton's Ditch Cooperative Co. of PepsiCo in Cicero and previously worked as a mechanic at A.R. Gundry in Syracuse. He was a Navy veteran.Survivors: His former wife, Joan C. Raymond Lollis of 2 Baker Road, Marcellus, died Thursday. Born in Warner, Okla., he moved to Marcellus in 1952. He was a self-employed contractor for more than 45 years, specializing in painting and wallpapering, and a hearse driver for Ryan Funeral Home for more than 40 years. He was a former trustee for the village of Marcellus. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus, where he was a trustee and usher and served on the parish council. He was past commander and member of the Ralph Share American Legion Post 297 in Marcellus. She camped at Fisher's Landing and Cedar Point on the St. Lawrence River for 70 years. She retired from Saul's Pharmacy in Fayetteville and previously worked at Chappell's Department Store. She was past Royal Matron of the Amaranth Military Court 114 in Fayetteville and a 50-year member and past matron of Order of the Eastern Star 493 in Manlius. Two sons, Jerry L. Shoemaker Sr. and Jackie Shoemaker, both died previously.Survivors: Her husband of 43 years, George J. Sr.; two daughters, Joan A. Lavner of Cazenovia and Kathleen E. Louzek of Fayetteville; a son, James M. Shoemaker Jr. of Cato; four stepsons, George J. Louzek Jr. of Nashua, N.H., David M. Louzek of Pomona, Calif., Frank I. Louzek of Atlanta and Robert E.
