Arthur P. Becker

FORESTVILLE: Arthur P. Becker, age 87, of Dennison Road, Forestville, died at (10:42 A.M.) Friday, October 29, 2004 in TLC/HN Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Becker was born May 28, 1917 in North Hackensack, New Jersey the son of the late George P. and Emma (Heger) Becker.
Mr. Becker was a graduate of Forestville High School Class of 1935 and a graduate of Fredonia Normal School Class of 1938. He was a self-employed dairy & beef farmer in Forestville. Mr. Becker was a member of the Town of Hanover Board in 1984, was a member of the Town of Hanover Zoning Board of Appeals for 17 years, serving as president during part of that time. He was a former member of Dairylea Milk Cooperative, was a member of the former Agway Council for 20 years, and a member of the Forestville Central School Board of Education from 1953 to 1958 where he served as president from 1954 to 1956 and was also president of the group that formed the North County BOCES. Mr. Becker loved farming and animals and he also enjoyed model railroading.
Survivors include his wife Mildred (Learn) Becker of Forestville, whom he married December 23, 1941 in Forestville, 1 daughter Mrs. Carl (Judith) Offen of Caledonia, NY. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant daughter Barbara Anne Becker, by a brother George A. Becker and by a sister Margaret Lindell.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning, at 11 o’clock from the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, with Pastor Rebecca Ward of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made either to the Forestville Fire Dept. Emergency & Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville NY 14062 or to the Crystal Unit at Lake Shore Nursing Home, 845 Rts. 5 & 20, Irving, NY 14081

Stanley B. Clark, MD

DUNKIRK: Stanley B. Clark, MD, age 87, of Crooked Brook Drive, Dunkirk, formerly of Buffalo, Fredonia and Forestville died at (2:57 P.M.) Sunday, February 9, 2003 in Brooks Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness
Dr. Clark was born February 14, 1915 in Buffalo the son of the late Leland and Irma May (Stanley) Clark.
Dr. Clark received his A B. degree from Cornell University in 1937 and his M. D. degree from the University of Buffalo Medical School in 1941. He served his residency in radiology at Buffalo General Hospital. Dr. Clark was a retired radiologist and at one time served as the Director of Radiology for Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk. He had also served as radiologist at Tri-County Memorial Hospital, Gowanda and as attending radiologist for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center, Helmuth and the former J.N. Adam Developmental Center, Perrysburg. He was a former member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society State of New York, Chautauqua County Medical Society, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiological Society of North America, Buffalo Radiological Society and was a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Clark was a former member of the Forestville Central School Board having first being appointed in 1979 and serving until 1986. He was the owner of the former S Bar N Quarter Horse Ranch in Forestville where he raised and showed horses.
There are no known survivors. There will be no visitation observed.
Graveside Service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 o’clock in the Cowden’s Corners Cemetery, Rt. 83 at Miller Road, Town of Arkwright with the Rev. Bruce M. Ellis pastor of the Forestville Wesleyan Church, officiating. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made to the Forestville Fire Department Emergency & Rescue Squad. Arrangements are by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.

Ronald F. Kuciapinski

CHERRY CREEK: Ronald F. Kuciapinski, age 51, of Cleland Road, Cherry Creek, died unexpectedly at (5:08 P.M.) Friday, January 16, 2004 in St. Vincent's Health Center, Erie, PA.
Mr. Kuciapinski was born January 19, 1952 in Dunkirk, the son of the late Chester and Frances (Wojnarowski) Kuciapinski.
Mr. Kuciapinski was a graduate & president of Forestville Central School Class of 1970, had attended the American Motorcycle Institute, Daytona Beach, FL and was currently working for Jamestown Harley Davidson as a service foreman for the last 2 years. Mr. Kuciapinski was a member of the Harley Owner's Group, was a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local #2693, Dunkirk and had contributed to the United States Air Force Academy Association of Graduates. He was a drummer for the former Kickbush Hollow Band and was a loving father.
Survivors include his loving partner Valerie Hollis of Cherry Creek, 1 son Kevin (Mykhael) Kuciapinski of Cherry Creek, 1 daughter Mrs. Daniel (Kyle) Crisci of Willoughby, Ohio, 2 sisters Ruth Ann Panzica, Mrs. Kenneth (Linda K.) Miller and 1 brother Mark S. Kuciapinski all of Forestville. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11:00 o’clock from St. John Bosco RC Church, Sheridan, with the Rev. Michael J. Parker officiating. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Burial will be in the Forestville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street Forestville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made either to the Chautauqua County Humane Society or the Association of Graduates, 3116 Academy Drive, USAFA, CO 80840-4475 c/o Ronald Kuciapinski.

Ada G. Norman

IRVING: Ada G. Norman, age 95, a resident of TLC/HN Lake Shore Nursing Facility, Irving, formerly of Forestville and Charlotte Center died at ( 7:23 p.m.) Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at her residence, following a lengthy illness.
Miss Norman was born October 30, 1908 in the Town of Charlotte, the daughter of the late Allan and Grace (Smith) Norman.
Miss Norman moved from Charlotte Center to Forestville in 1945. She was a graduate of the former Sinclairville High School class of 1926 and Jamestown Business College. She attended Cornell University where she took correspondence courses. At one time Miss Norman worked at the Thomas Indian School, Forestville Central School, the WCA Home in Fredonia and in many homes of the elderly around the Forestville area. She was a member of the Forestville United Methodist Church and the WCTU of the church. She had been a member of the Methodist Church since 1918, and a member of the grange since 1922, where she held many offices. She was currently a member of Villenova Grange #604, South Dayton. At one time she did volunteer work through the RSVP at Lake Shore Hospital for 9 years.
Survivors include 4 cousins Charles B. Smith of Bellows Falls, Vermont, Margaret Aylesworth of Altoona, Florida, Mrs. Norma Heaton of Hagerstown, Maryland and Eric Reed of Gerry. Besides her parents she was predeceased by an infant sister Mary Lorette Norman and by 2 brothers Frank and William Norman.
There will be no visitation observed. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday morning, at 11 o’clock from the Forestville United Methodist Church, 3 Park Street, Forestville, with Pastor Rebecca Ward officiating. The family suggests memorials in her memory be made either to the Forestville United Methodist Church or to the Charlotte Center United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.

William Fleming

FORESTVILLE: William Fleming, age 73, of Academy Street, Forestville, died unexpectedly at (7:29 P.M.) Thursday, April 22, 2004 in Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk.
Mr. Fleming was born November 17, 1930 in Schenectady, New York the son of the late David and Helen (Paton) Fleming.
Mr. Fleming was a 1953 graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a Bachelors Degree. He taught social studies at Clifton Springs High School and at Forestville Central School where he retired after 37 years. Mr. Fleming was a member of the Forestville Wesleyan Church and from April 1976 to April 1977 he was a village trustee, where he served as acting mayor for the village of Forestville. He enjoyed camping, reading & refinishing furniture.
Survivors include his wife Mary Joan (Burr) Fleming of Forestville, 2 daughters Lauren Putnam of Lockport and Mrs. Richard (Jane) Wright of Fredonia. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Rebecka Putnam and Cory Putnam, both of Lockport, Emily Wright and Wesley Wright, both of Fredonia, and several nieces & nephews.
There will be no prior visitation observed. Funeral services will be held Monday morning, at 11 o’clock from the Forestville Wesleyan Church, 9603 Prospect Road, Forestville, with the Rev. Bruce M. Ellis pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestville Cemetery. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made either to the Forestville Wesleyan Church Building Fund, or to the Forestville Fire Dept. Emergency & Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville NY 14062. Arrangements are by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.

Martha A. Tedesco

DUNKIRK: Martha A. Tedesco, age 72, a resident of the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, formerly of Dunkirk and Havasu City, AZ died unexpectedly at (8:25 A.M.) Thursday, July 8, 2004 in Hospice Buffalo, Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga,
Mrs. Tedesco was born February 24, 1932 in Potsdam, New York the daughter of the late Alexander and Gladys (DeLisle) DeChard.
Mrs. Tedesco was a lifelong area resident having graduated from Cassadaga Valley Central School Class of 1951. She assisted her late husband, Joseph Tedesco who died in January of 1992, with the family business, the former Tedesco TV Repair of Dunkirk, was a member of the American Legion Post #62 Ladies Auxiliary of Dunkirk and a member of the Church of the Living Spirit, of Lily Dale. Mrs. Tedesco was an avid bingo player and loved dancing, jazz & knitting.
Survivors include 2 sons, David Tedesco of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Tedesco of Dunkirk, 1 daughter Joan Tedesco-Blair of Buffalo, 1 brother Ronald (Carol) DeChard of Lily Dale and 1 sister of Mary DeChard of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren.
There will be no prior visitation observed. Memorial services will be held Sunday morning, at 9:30 o’clock from The Church of the Living Spirit, Assembly Hall, Lily Dale, with the Rev. Patricia Price pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Forestville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorials in her memory be made to the Mary & Ralph Wilson Hospice Inpatient Unit, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.

Darryl M. Gage

FORESTVILLE: Darryl M. Gage, age 48, of Walnut Road, Forestville died unexpectedly at ( 7:54 P.M.) Friday, November 5, 2004 in Brooks Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Gage was born November 13, 1955 in Altus,  Oklahoma the son of the late Milton V. Gage who died August 8, 1993 and Florence (Kujawa) Gage of Forestville.
Mr. Gage was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School class of 1973 and a graduate of the National School of Meat Cutting, Toledo, Ohio. He had worked as a meat cutter at Tops Market in Derby and the Lakeside Market in Angola. Mr. Gage had also worked as a Correctional Officer at the Chautauqua County Jail, Mayville. He was a US Air Force veteran where he served as a Radio Communications Intercept Analyst. Mr. Gage was a skilled artist with specialties in photography, painting and drawing. He loved fishing in local creeks for trout and walleye and was known as "The Fisherman of Cattaraugus Creek".
Surviving besides his mother are his wife of 25 years Vicki (Taylor) Gage of Forestville and 3 daughters Elba, Maybeth and Morayma. Also surviving is 1 sister Denise Gage of Dunkirk, 3 grandchildren and 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
There will be no visitation observed. Memorial services will be held Saturday morning, November 13, 2004 at 11 o’clock from the Forestville United Methodist Church, 3 Park Street, Forestville, with Pastor Rebecca Ward, officiating. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made to the Sheridan Fire Department, Center Road, Sheridan NY 14135. Arrangements are by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.

Elizabeth R. Carroll

SHERIDAN: Elizabeth R. Carroll, age 89, of Walnut Road, Town of Sheridan, formerly of Amherst, NY died unexpectedly at (8:10 A.M.) Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at her residence.
Mrs. Carroll was born April 3, 1913 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Casper and Anna (Trimper) Zimmer.
For 4 years Mrs. Carroll and her husband owned and operated the former House of Carroll in Amherst, NY. She had worked for New York Telephone as an Office Manager in the Accounting Department for 18 years, having worked in the Lackawanna Branch, and then became a homemaker. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Forestville.
Survivors include her husband Eugene J. Carroll of Sheridan, 1 son James Carroll of Sheridan, 1 sister Ann Hahn of West Seneca and 1 brother John Zimmer of Tonawanda. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Gleamer, Sunshine, Soy, Vrolet, Paulaya, Pasha & Sparkelynn, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by 2 brothers Sabastian Zimmer and Jacob Zimmer.
There will be no visitation observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Time and place to be announced by the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville. Entombment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Kenmore, NY at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorials in her memory be made to St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Forestville.

Myrtle P. Schroeder

FORESTVILLE: Myrtle P. Schroeder, age 84, of Walnut Creek Road, Forestville, died at (5:15 A.M.) Monday, March 17, 2003 in TLC/Health Network-Lake Shore Hospital, Irving.
Mrs. Schroeder was born March 1, 1919 in the Town of Arkwright, New York the daughter of the late Albert Palmer and Velma (Ball) Palmer Odronic a resident of the TLC/Health Network-Nursing Facility, Irving.
Mrs. Schroeder was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dunkirk, a member of the Major Benjamin Prescott DAR Chapter, Fredonia, was a graduate of Forestville High School class of 1938 and was a past member of the former Arkwright Grange #1249.
Surviving besides her mother are 2 daughters Mrs. Edward (Carol) Crecraft and Mrs. James (Janice) Rundell both of Forestville, 1 son Phillip H. (Kathy) Schroeder of Clermont, Florida. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father she was predeceased by her husband Albert A.C. Schroeder whom she married November 27, 1937 in the Town of Arkwright and who died December 8, 1998, by her step- father Vincent Odronic who died September 14, 1974, by a son Donald R. Schroeder and by a grandson Dale R. Crecraft.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 o’clock from the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville with the Rev Wesley L. Hamlin pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, officiating. Burial will follow in the Arkwright Summit Cemetery, Town of Arkwright. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The family suggests memorials in her memory be made either to the Forestville Fire Department Emergency & Rescue Squad or Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dunkirk.

Marion J. Domenico

IRVING: Marion J. Domenico, age 80, a resident of the TLC/HN- Nursing Facility, Irving, formerly of Forestville died at (2:35 P.M.) Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Domenico was born May 24, 1923 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Harry Olsen and Caroline (Volk) Olsen Wagner.
Mrs. Domenico was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sheridan. She and her husband owned & operated the former Hanford Bay Market. Mrs. Domenico was also a former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Social Club, Silver Creek and a former member of St. Rose of Lima Rosary & Altar Society, Forestville. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, traveling & spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Edward F. Domenico, Sr. of Forestville, whom she married December 12, 1945 in St. Ann's RC Church, Buffalo, 1 daughter Maureen Daugherty of Forestville, 3 sons Edward F. Domenico, Jr., Michael A. Domenico & Timothy P. (Sylvia) Domenico all of Forestville. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews . Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Harry W. Olsen, Sr., her step-father Stanley Wagner and by an infant son Christopher Domenico
Prayer Services will be held Saturday morning at 9:15 o’clock from the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o’clock from St. John Bosco RC Church, Sheridan, with the Rev. Gerald P. Sheehan pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Town of Hanover. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials in her memory be made to the Forestville Fire Dept. Emergency & Rescue Squad, Chestnut Street, Forestville NY 14062

John E. Earle

SOUTH DAYTON: John E. Earle, age 79, of Cherry Street, South Dayton died at ( 9:15 A.M.) Thursday, October 24, 2002 at his residence following a short illness.
Mr. Earle was born July 4, 1923 in the Town of Leon the son of the late Merritt and Anna (Eddy) Earle.
Mr. Earle was a self-employed carpenter and in later years had worked for union local #66 of Olean, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed hunting and making furniture.
Survivors include his wife Betty (Hodges) Earle of South Dayton, whom he married October 11, 1943 in Forestville, a daughter Suzanne B. Earle of Mentor, Ohio, 1 brother Richard Earle of South Dayton and 1 sister Genevieve Rowland of Leon. Also survivng are 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son Robert Earle who died in November 2000 and by brothers & sisters.
There will be no visitation observed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Town of Dayton. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made to Homecare/Hospice, 1225 West State Street, Olean, NY 14760 or to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by the Riles Funeral Home, Forestville.
