Donald H. Rhoades, 57, of Fayetteville died Nov. 26. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School in 1962 and Syracuse University in 1969. He retired in March after 20 years as a postal clerk for the Taft Road Post Office. He was a member of American Postal Workers Union and Rockefeller Memorial Church in Syracuse. Laura M. Small Zogg, 78, of Syracuse died Monday at Iroquois Nursing Home. A life resident of Syracuse, she graduated from Central Technical High School in 1940 and was a homemaker. She was the first crossing guard in 1951 for the Syracuse City School District and was a former Girl Scout leader. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and was active with CYO. She was a former member of Elmwood School Mother's Club. Her husband, Donald E., died in 1988. Survivors: Two daughters, Marilyn A. Paige and Joyce E. Bloss, both of Camillus; two sons, Donald E. He was the former president of the Weedsport Winter Wanderers snowmobile club and the former director of the Auburn Bowling Association.Survivors: His wife of 49 years, the former Pauline Whitford; a daughter, Karen Falardeau of Liverpool; a son, James R. He was a member of Sylvan Beach Volunteer Fire Department, New London-Vienna Masonic Lodge 420 and the Royal Arch in Camden. He served with the New York State National Guard.
