She was a member of OBS. Survivors: Her husband, John; two daughters, Jennifer Holden and Ashley Rozonewski, both of Oswego; a son, John Jr. of Oswego; three sisters, Kathleen Gorman and Ruth A. Towle, both of Fulton, and Donna Howe of Pensacola, Fla.; six brothers, Bert F. Barnes Jr. of Oswego, James Barnes of Pensacola, David Barnes Sr. of Florida, John Barnes Sr. of Georgia, Thomas Barnes of Hannibal and Mark Barnes of North Syracuse; her mother, Thelma Barnes of Florida; a grandchild. Services: 7 p.m. Friday at Young & Son Funeral Home. Calling hours, 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 322 Oneida St., Fulton.

Thomas B. Waters

Thomas B. Waters, 75, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Saturday of cancer. He was born in Syracuse and moved to Cazenovia in 1956, where he continued to reside during the summer. He was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School and Syracuse University. He owned Waters Men's Shop in Cazenovia and Syracuse until the late 1950s. He retired in 1987 as budget director in the finance department at Carrier Corp. after 27 years. He was a former Junior Achievement adviser. He was an Eagle Scout and later a Scoutmaster in Cazenovia. He was a former member of Syracuse Power Squadron. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors: His wife of 51 years, the former Lois Affleck; three daughters, Nancy Srail of Norwood, N.C., Joyce Wells of Stanfield, N.C., and Mary Waters of Cazenovia; two sons, Gary of St. Louis and Neil of Cazenovia; 11 grandchildren. Services: To be announced. National Crematorium Society, New Port Richey, Fla., has arrangements. Contributions: Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34677.

Services for Nina Barton Grimsley, 91, of Lubbock,  Texas, formerly of Syracuse, who died Feb. 2 are 2 p.m. Saturday in Wetzel Road Church of Christ, 4268 Wetzel Road, Liverpool. The family will greet friends after the service.

Alissa Gay Newby Fulmer, 38, of 124 Remington Ave., Syracuse, died Wednesday. Born in Lima, Ohio, she attended Ohio public schools. She was a teacher assistant for the Syracuse school district for 15 years. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Lima. Survivors: Her fiance, Anthony  Jones of Syracuse; two sons, Quincy and Justin Fulmer, both of Syracuse; her parents, Mabel Newby of Syracuse and Felix Armstead of Lima. Mary J. Herridge

Mary Jane Kane Herridge, 63, of Brockway Road, Moravia, died Wednesday. She was born in Syracuse. She was former assistant vice president of Merchants Bank in Moravia. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Moravia and was a volunteer at Gordon Eadie Center at Church of the Nazarene in Auburn, caring for dementia patients. Survivors: Her husband of 46 years, Allen W.; two daughters, Susan M. Vandervoort of Rochester and Bridget A. Steger of Eggland Air Force Base, Fla.; two sons, Allen W. II of Clayton, N.C., and Paul E. of Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, Maurice D. Kane of Asheville, N.C., and Jerome M. Kane of Syracuse; 13 grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Church. Burial, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Moravia. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Moravia. Cornelius J. Quinn

Cornelius J. Quinn, 89, of Syracuse died Wednesday. Born in New Rochelle, he lived in Syracuse since 1965 and spent winter months in St. Augustine, Fla. He retired in 1962 as a supervisor for New York Market Administrator after 30 years. He was also a federal auditor. He was a member of the Elks Club. His wife, Eva, died in 1992; a daughter, Helen Drace, died in 1971; another daughter, Brenda O'Neill, died in 1988. Survivors: Four daughters, Patricia McCooey of Kent, Wash., Dolores Shelhamer of Corning, Joyce Doty of Syracuse and Janice Staley of Liverpool; two sons, Charles Durham of Liverpool and James Durham of Crystal River, Fla.; a sister, Mae Gibbons of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada; a brother, Arthur Durham of Massena; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services: 1 p.m. today in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial services will be in May. No calling hours. Farone & Son Funeral Home, Syracuse, has arrangements. Ethel Thomas Bridenbaugh, 95, of Delmar Place, Syracuse, died Thursday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Ellisburg, she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She was a salesperson for Helmers' Dress Shop in Syracuse 48 years. Her husband, John K., died in 1984. Survivors: A son, John H. of Syracuse; three stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Monday in  White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. No calling hours. Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, has arrangements.

Timothy J. Lynch

Timothy J. "T.J." Lynch, 28, of 4884 Memory Lane, Manlius, died Thursday while fighting a fire in Pompey. He was born in Syracuse. He graduated from Le Moyne College. He was a firefighter for Fayetteville Fire Department for a year and was a paramedic with Rural Metro for seven years. He was a volunteer firefighter for Manlius and Kirkville fire departments and was a special deputy for the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department. He was a communicant of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church. His father, Timothy L., died in 1995. Survivors: His wife of 2½ years, the former Donna Prince; a son, Philip of Manlius; his parents, Carol and William Ince of Cicero; a brother, Kevin of  South Carolina; three stepsisters; a stepbrother. Services: 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 2 p.m. in Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. John T. Nicholas Sr., 87, of North Syracuse died Friday. Born in Bay Ridge, he graduated from Brooklyn Polytech High School in 1931 and lived in North Syracuse since 1972. He retired in 1984 as district sales manager from Automatic Switch Co. after 18 years and served as a consultant until 2000. He had worked for Brielle Marine Industrial Co. in New Jersey from 1958 to 1966. He was a member of Manhassett Bay Power Squadron in Long Island, where he taught piloting. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse. His wife, Catherine, died in 1971. Survivors: Two daughters, Merrill Czarniak of Rochester and Catherine Albunio of Cicero; three sons, John T. Jr. of Gregory, Mich., Thomas of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Robert J. of Liverpool; a sister, Violet M. Nicholas of Liverpool; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services: 10:15 a.m. Monday at Fergerson Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be Tuesday in Sea Girt, N.J. He was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church in Canastota. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Jeanne M. Dolan, died in 1996. Survivors: Three daughters, M. Patricia Houser of Syracuse, Karen A. Deppoliti of Canastota and Marguerite G. Lane of Onondaga Hill; four sons, Jerome T. of Onondaga Hill, Richard G. of Libertyville, Ill., Edward J. of Westboro, Mass., and Daniel D. of Syracuse; a sister, Marguerite W.
