Henry P. Podgorniak, 77, of Liverpool died Thursday. Born in Syracuse, he attended Sacred Heart School and Porter School. He retired in 1986 as a welder for Lamson Corp. after 32 years. He was a former communicant of Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He was a member of Salina Seniors, the Polish Home and Pulaski American Legion Post 1650. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and served in the 1st Division. He received the Purple Heart for injuries received in battle at Okinawa. His wife, Elizabeth, died in 2000. Survivors: Four daughters, Valerie Smithson of Camillus, Rose Schneider and Sharon Rosekrans, both of Liverpool, and Kathleen McMahon of Evansville, Ind.; a son, Lawrence of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Giminski-Wysocki Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. in Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Daniel T. Pollastro-Trifoso

Daniel Thomas Pollastro-Trifoso, infant son of Daniel Trifoso and Tessa Pollastro of 124 Peck Ave., Syracuse, died Thursday. He was born in Syracuse. Survivors: Besides his parents, a sister, Francesca Pollastro; his maternal grandparents, Irene and Nicholas Pollastro of Syracuse; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Loretta Trifoso of Syracuse. Charley C. Reynolds

Charley C. Reynolds, 71, of 1952 county Route 2, Orwell, died Thursday. Born in Richland, he lived in Orwell since 1960 and attended Pulaski Academy High School. He retired in 1985 after 25 years with the state Department of Transportation in Mexico. He worked for New York Central Railroad for several years and was a member of Orwell United Methodist Church. He was a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358 in Pulaski and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289. He was an Army veteran and served from 1950 to 1953. His wife, the former Eldora Thomas, died in 1997. Survivors: Two daughters, Linda Stevens of Pulaski and Rita Williams of Parish; three sons, Anthony Cavallaro of Binghamton, Guy Stevens of Lakeland, Fla., and Terry Stevens of Rochester; a sister, Shirley Reynolds of Brewerton; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial, Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 52 Park St., Pulaski. Robert K. Van Skoik

Robert K. "Digger" Van Skoik, 71, of Syracuse died Thursday. He was born in Syracuse. He was a boiler engineer at Rockwell International and retired form General Motor's Fisher Guide Division after 14 years. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus Council 191 and Knights of St. John's 133. He was an Army veteran. Survivors: His wife of 39 years, the former Roberta Wundling; three sons, Jeffrey, Timothy R. and William M., all of Syracuse; his mother, Ann Van Skoik of Syracuse; a sister, Patricia Leonard of Glens Falls; a brother, George of Baldwinsville. Services: 8:45 a.m. Monday at Carter Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Earl A. Stebbins

Earl Anson Stebbins, 82, of Richmond, Va., died Tuesday. Born in Gueydan, La., he lived in Fayetteville 44 years, moving away in 1991. He graduated from University of Southwestern  Louisiana. He retired in 1983 as an electrical engineer after 42 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife, M. Corinne, died previously. Survivors: Four daughters, Cynthia Stebbins of Boston, Deborah Caselli of Woodbridge, Va., Mary Yazdgerdi of Richmond and Tracy Springer of Rochester; a son, James of Manassas, Va.; a sister, Margaret Finnerty of Gueydan; 12 grandchildren.
