He was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church and a member of the San Egidio Liguglosses Society. He served in the Italian army in World War II. Survivors: His wife of 63 years, the former Maria C. Patti; two daughters, Lucy G. Madonna of North Syracuse and Connie Ferraro of Canastota; a sister, Maria Domes of France; a brother, Rosario of Rome, Italy; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Services: 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Syracuse. Richard J. Schuler, 79, of 161 E. Ninth St., Oswego, died Friday. A life resident of Oswego, he graduated from Rochester Business Institute, Oswego. He retired in 1986 as an accountant with Alcan Corp. after 24 years and previously worked at Frank G. Wells clothing store. He was a volunteer at Oswego Hospital, president of Friends of Oswego County Hospice and past president of the Alcan Retirees Association. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Dora Mancuso, died in 1989. Survivors: A daughter, Anne Prunoske of Rochester; a son, Richard G. of Chisago City, Minn.; a sister, Mary Czirr of Oswego; five grandchildren. Gerald J. Shaben, 78, of 20 Mechanic St., Phoenix, died Saturday. Born in Phoenix, he lived there most of his life. He retired in 1988 as a foreman at General Electric Co. after more than 30 years. He was a member of Phoenix United Methodist Church and its Men's Club, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5540, Phoenix. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: His wife of 55 years, the former Agnes E. Colling; four daughters, Linda M. Clark of Oswego, Kathleen R. Shaben, Sandra P. Lorette and Shirley M. Shaben, all of Phoenix; three sons, John E. of Phoenix, Thomas W. of  Pennsylvania and Harold C. of Fulton; a sister, Luella Pollack; four brothers, Robert and Gordon, both of Phoenix, Ariz., Joseph and Donald; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. E. Price Brown, 81, of 102 Ridge Road, Fulton, died Sunday. He was born in Chicago. He graduated from Northwestern University. He retired in 1981 after many years as an industrial plant engineer at Armstrong World Industries in Fulton. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fulton, Beaver Meadows Golf Club in Phoenix and the Fulton Historical Society. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Richmond and USS Mobile in the South Pacific. He received 13 Battle Stars for combat. His first wife, Jean Brown, died in 1981. Survivors: His wife, the former Janice M. Lockwood; two daughters, Dr. Ellen Nottingham of Seattle and Susan Geiger of Arlington, Va.; two brothers, Severin of Canton and Richard of Hilton Head, S.C.; three grandsons. He retired in 1972 as a correctional officer in the Auburn Correctional Facility. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Knights of Columbus. His wife, the former Beatrice Jannack, died in 1974. Survivors: A daughter, Patricia Drummey of Auburn. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church in Solvay and a member of its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a member of Solvay Senior Citizens. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1961. He had been sales and construction manager of the Catholic Diocese of Syracuse for Acme Marble and Granite of New Orleans. He was a coach for the Midstate Youth Hockey Program. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He operated several resort businesses in the Alexandria Bay area from 1954 to 1978. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: His wife, the former Hilda Collins; a daughter, Diana Hewitt Fram of Alexandria Bay; three sons, Jeffrey of Liverpool, Randy of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Ian of North Syracuse; three grandchildren.
