A graduate of Cooperstown Central School, class of 1980, she attended Cedarville University in Ohio and graduated with a BA degree in business administration and accounting. This passion for work was evident in her position as director of merchandising at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, where she had been employed full time since 1987. She developed many friendships there and was well respected for her knowledge and expertise.

Cyndi was also a team member at the Fly Creek Cider Mill for 10 years. She began in the upstairs gift shop that, with her leadership, was integrated into an entire retail area in the mill. Her craft of creating original and striking merchandising displays was a strong factor in making the mill the success that it is today. She was instrumental in the installation and programming of the mill’s new point-of-sale computerized inventory control system in 2002. In peak seasons, Cyndi put in the extra time it took, without question, to make sure the mill was fully stocked and organized for the next day. She truly loved the mill and was respected by all her colleagues for her dedication and retail expertise. In honor of her time and dedication devoted to the mill, she was awarded the Fly Creek Cider Mill’s Service Recognition Award in 2002.
