The Rev. C. Patrick Keating, 63, of Binghamton died Tuesday. He graduated from St. Bonaventure University, studied at Christ the King Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1969 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. He was pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church, Binghamton, where he came to in 1993 as associate pastor. He also served as associate pastor at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Hillcrest; St. Matthew Church in Syracuse and St. Paul Church in Binghamton. He was chaplain for the Ladies ancient Order of Hibernians Division II. Survivors: Two brothers, James M. of Clay and Kevin R. of Scottsdale, Ariz. He was an usher with Our Lady of Lourdes Church for 35 years and a member of the Holy Name Society. His wife, Elizabeth, died in April. She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Volney; the New York State Retired Teachers Association; and the Fulton and Scriba historical societies. Her husband, William W., died in 1980. Born in Fabius, she lived most of her life in Canastota before moving to Oneida Towers 20 years ago. She attended Perryville schools. She retired in 1982 after 30 years in the housekeeping department at Oneida City Hospital. She was a former member of Kirkville Wesleyan Church. Her husband of 22 years, Martin, died in 1954; a daughter, Alice Boswell, died in 1999.
