Rose Mosconi

Rose Mosconi, age 95, of the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility of Gloversville, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness.

Born March 30, 1909 in Gloversville, N.Y., she was the daughter of Augusto and Mary Fanneni Mosconi. She attended Gloversville schools and was a life long area resident.

Rose was employed as a glove maker at Mosconi Brothers Glove Shop, retiring in 1979.
She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church and the Women's Society of the church.

Survivors include two brothers, Peter and Edward Mosconi of Gloversville; several nieces, nephews and cousins and sister-in-laws. She was predeceased by four brothers, William, Frank, the Reverend John, Arthur and Anthony Mosconi.

Annie M. Smullens

Mrs. Annie M. Smullens, 84, of Johnstown, N.Y., peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 26, after a long illness. She was born August 11, 1919 in Gloversville, N.Y., the daughter of John G. and Ruth Robbins Lorey. She was united in marriage to Everett J. Smullens and he passed away in 1988. Annie was beloved by all she touched and spent her life devoted to her family. She attended Gloversville schools and attended school for hair dressing. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Mrs. Smullens will be forever missed by her daughter, Bonita A. Morrison and her husband Dean Morrison of Johnstown; and her daughter-in-law, Carol Smullens of California. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Lorey of Gloversville; and her grandchildren, Dean, Shelly, Elizabeth, Michael and David; nieces; nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Everett Patrick Smullens who died Feb. 1, 2004.

There will be no visiting hours. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Ehle Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice or St. Patrick's Church.

Elsie Brewda
Wednesday, May 28, 2003
Elsie Brewda, 87, of Gloversville, died Tuesday after being stricken at the Getman Home. Born November 29, 1915 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Philip and Fanny Shapera Lavine. She was a graduate of Glens Falls High School and received a B.A. degree from Cornell University.

Mrs. Brewda moved to Johnstown in 1949 where she lived until moving to Gloversville in 1973.

She was employed by the General Electric Co. of Schenectady during WW II. She later was a teacher in Fulton County from 1964-1965. In 1978 Mrs. Brewda retired from the Fulton County Department of Social Services, where she was employed as a social worker.
She was a member of the Knesseth Israel Synagogue, the Jewish Community Center, the Hadassah and was very active with the Friends of the Gloversville Free Library.

On July 3, 1949 she married her husband, Dr. Martin Brewda. He predeceased her on May 23, 1977.

Mrs. Brewda is survived by three sons, Lee Brewda and his wife Joanne of Westwood, MA, Joseph Brewda and his wife Sylvia of Leesburg, VA and Stephen Brewda of Gloversville; one grandson, Jonathan Brewda of Westwood, MA; and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from the Knesseth Israel Synagogue, 34 E. Fulton St., Gloversville with the Rabbi Martin Gordon officiating. Interment will be at the Knesseth Israel Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to the Mountain Valley Hospice or the Hadassah. Arrangements are by the Hollenbeck Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville.

James E. Harnish

James E. Harnish, beloved husband, father and grandfather, left this earth on May 23, 2004 after a long illness. Born May 27, 1934, he was the son of Everett and Lucy Hayden Harnish.

James is survived by his wife, Naomi, whom he married May 28, 1954. Jim has two daughters, Karen (Gary) Schermerhorn of Northville, NY and Kathy (Ruben) Aguilar of Dallas, TX. Jim also has a twin brother, Jack (Liz) Harnish of Gloversville, NY; six grandchildren and one great-grandson, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jim graduated from Gloversville High School in 1952. He then went to NYS Ranger School at Wanakena, graduating in 1954. He worked for USDA from June 1954 until October 1957, when he went to work for NYS Encon Wild Life and transferred to NYS Environmental Conservation Law Enforcement in September of 1969. He retired in September of 1992.
In 1999, Jim was elected town justice of Benson until present. Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He loved nature, wildlife and life in general. He especially loved time with his family; he will truly be missed.

Friends may call Saturday, May 29, 2004 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. R.W. Williams officiating.

Anthony R. Sidoti

Rev. Anthony R. Sidoti, 89, Pastor Emeritus, the Church of St. James, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at his home. Father Sidoti was born on June 14, 1914, in Amsterdam, NY, the son of the late Angelo and Anna Saltalamacchia Sidoti. He attended St. Mary's High School in Amsterdam, Niagara University for undergraduate studies and then Our Lady of Angels Seminary at Niagara University for philosophy and theology. He was ordained as a priest on May 18, 1940, in Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Albany, by Bishop Edmund F. Gibbons.

He first served as associate pastor at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Gloversville for two years before entering the United States Army to serve as a chaplain from 1942-1946. During the war, he served in the European Theater and received the Silver Star, the Purple Heart and numerous other commendations. Upon his return to the Diocese, he served as an associate pastor at St. Mary's Parish in Frankfort for two years before serving as the associate pastor at St. Anthony's Parish in Albany from 1948-1963. In 1963 he was named the administrator of St. Anthony's. Father Sidoti was named as the pastor of St. Anthony's Parish in Albany in 1966 and served there until 1970. From 1970 until his retirement in 1990, he served as the pastor of St. James Parish in Albany. He was the first director of the Bishop's Fund and served as director from 1955-1966. He was appointed as diocesan consultor from 1969-1970.

In 1948 Fr. Sidoti became the division chaplain for the 27th Infantry Division of the New York Army National Guard. In 1957 he was promoted to full colonel in the NY Army National Guard and served in the capacity of the staff chaplain for the entire state of New York Army National Guard. In that position he was the adviser to the commanding general of the Guard on all matters pertaining to religion, welfare, morals and morale for the approximately 26,000 guardsmen. He also supervised the work, training and activities of all Guard chaplains.
Father Sidoti was the beloved cousin of Raphaela (Stephen) Soulla, Constance (William) Frey and Antoinette Salamack, all of Amsterdam, and Victor DeSantis of Albany. Also survived by numerous other cousins and relatives.

Relatives, friends, parishioners, priests and religious are invited to the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial to be celebrated on Saturday 11:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 391 Delaware Ave., with the Most Reverend Howard J. Hubbard, D.D., Bishop of Albany, presiding. A reception of the Body and Vigil will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. in St. James Church followed by the parish eucharist at 7 p.m. A wake will be held at the church Friday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. in St. Michael's Cemetery, Amsterdam.

Elizabeth A. McNamara

Mrs. Elizabeth A. McNamara, 63, of Northampton Road, Amsterdam, died Tuesday evening at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.

Born October 4, 1939 in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of Milton and Betty Ball Swanker. She was a life long Amsterdam resident and was a 1958 graduate of the Wilbur H. Lunch High School.

She was employed by Esquire Novelty, Mohawk Sportswear, Coleco Industries and Amsterdam Printing & Litho until retiring in 1988.
Mrs. McNamara was a member and one time Sunday School teacher for the First Baptist Church in Amsterdam.

She was married on October 17, 1959 to John E. McNamara.

Besides her husband, survivors include a son, Michael J. McNamara of Fort Johnson; a daughter, Michele B. Auriemma and husband Michael, both of Fort Johnson; her mother, Betty Ball Swanker of Scotia; two brothers, James Swanker and Robert Swanker, both of Tribes Hill; a sister, Caroline Baker of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael and Heather McNamara and Katie and Nicholas Auriemma; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Mrs. McNamara was predeceased by a brother, Cpl. Nelson C. Swanker, who died in 1968 during the Vietnam War.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam with the Rev. Alfred Kahler officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. A legacy candle ceremony will be held prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.

Robert A. Boehme, Jr.

Robert A. Boehme, Jr., 66, of Union Mills Road, Broadalbin, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

He was born in Rochester, NY, on October 21, 1937, a son of Robert A. and Janet DeMallie Boehme and attended Brighton High School. Mr. Boehme had resided in Broadalbin since 1964.

He was employed as a machinist at Mohawk Resources in Amsterdam prior to retiring due to disability 11 years ago.
Mr. Boehme enjoyed the computer and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, the former Joan Feldstein Boehme; 4 sons, Timothy Boehme of Amsterdam, Edward Boehme of Broadalbin, Jeffrey Boehme of Gloversville, and Daniel Boehme of Endicott; 2 daughters, Kathryn Boehme of Las Vegas, NV, and Jacqueline Nulty of Hagaman; his parents Robert and Janet Boehme of Avon, NY., 2 brothers, William Boehme of Fairport, NY, and Stephen Boehme of Avon, NY; and 8 grandchildren.

Cremation was performed at Parkview Crematorium, Schenectady. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc., 38 West Main Street, Broadalbin, NY 12025.

Kaylee Elizabeth-Jane Dumar

Kaylee Elizabeth-Jane Dumar, died at birth May 25, 2003 at Albany Medical Center. She is the infant daughter of David Lee Dumar and Lisa Marie Williams Dumar of Fonda.

She is survived by her maternal grandparents, Douglas and Hope Hutchins Williams of Fultonville; paternal grandmother, Delores Dufel Dumar of Fonda; and maternal great-grandparents, andrew and Lita Hutchins of Fonda.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Bernard Wells Dumar of Fonda, who died on July 16, 2002.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bridging People and Places, c/o Mason and Megan Fund, 4 Sarazen Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. All proceeds go directly to supporting families experiencing prenatal loss.

Josephine Genovese

Josephine Genovese, 101, formerly of Fonclair Street in Johnstown, died on Saturday, May 28 at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Genovese was born on April 18, 1904 in Olivera, Sicily. She was the daughter of Joseph and Tinera Fazzio Ruggeri. She came to America in 1912.

Mrs. Genovese worked for several glove companies in the area. She retired from Conroy Glove Company in Johnstown.
She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and a former member of the Alter Rosary Society at the church. She loved crocheting and enjoyed traveling.

She was married to the late Philip Genovese on Sept. 6, 1920 in Rochester. He died on Feb. 7, 1979.

She is survived by two sons, John Genovese and his wife Lois of Johnstown and Joseph Genovese and his wife Joan of Horseheads, in Chemung County. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Licciardi of Johnstown. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Genovese is pre-deceased by her son Louis Genovese and grandson Philip.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Rev. James Fitzmaurice, pastor of Holy Trinity Parish, will be officiating the ceremony.

Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Johnstown. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.

Robert Wallach

Mr. Robert Wallach, 69, of Gloversville, died Friday evening, May 27, 2005 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born April 23, 1936 in Gloversville, the son of Simon and Mollie Cristiano Wallach. He was a 1954 graduate of Gloversville High School. Following his discharge form the Air Force he opened the former Bob's Seafood in Johnstown, which was later relocated to Gloversville. He became employed at Lee Dyeing Corp. of North Carolina, and his family took over the operation of the seafood store. Bob retired in 1989 as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lee Dye Corp, following over 30 years of service.

Mr. Wallach was a member of Johnstown Moose Lodge #1185, The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, and The Crown Victoria Association. He was a former member of the Gloversville Zoning Board and the United Way.
Bob was married August 6, 1987 to the former Drue Finkle Firth who survives. Four children also survive him, Debbie A. Murray (Rod) of Fort Myers, FL; Mark A. Wallach (Linda) of Gloversville and Brianna R. Wallach and Erin P. Wallach of Elizabethtown, PA; two stepchildren, Michael Firth (Theresa) of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Kristen Firth of Ballston Lake; a brother, Richard Wallach of Johnstown; a sister, Mary Ann Gleason of Johnstown; nine grandchildren, Nina, Christopher and Jessica Murray, Bobbi Wallach, Mary Hasley, Rebecca Hadcock, and Alan, Kaylee and Adrianna Jones; four great grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His brother John Wallach preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Christopher Hamm officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Mary Louise 'Weesie' Quaile Buyce

Mary Louise ("Weesie") Quaile Buyce was born in New York City on January 10, 1930. She grew up in Salisbury, Conn. - her father was Emerson B. Quaile, headmaster of Salisbury School and her mother was Charlotte Milmine Quaile. She has one older brother, George E. Quaile of Savannah, GA; a sister, Eleanor Quaile Legg of Darien, GA; and a deceased sister, Elizabeth Quaile Clement, formerly of Toano, Virginia.

Mom went to Emma Willard in Troy, Monticello Junior College in Saint Louis, MO and Connecticut College for Women in New London. In 1950 she married George C. Kiefer Jr. They had three children, Katherine Kiefer of Lexington, Massachusetts, Mathias M. Kiefer of Salisbury, Connecticut and Thomas N. Kiefer of Wayland, Massachusetts. While she and George were married, she was active in Salisbury Winter Sports Association, Salisbury Recreation Commission, Trinity Church in Lime Rock, the Girl Scouts (including the first camping trips to Wack Forest - Oh how it rained every time we went!) She taught skiing at Catamount in the winters and worked for Stubby Sherwood at his nursery in the summers. She was on the first round of trained volunteers for the Salisbury Ambulance. She also served on the Republican Town Committee.

She and dad were divorced around 1970. She moved to Lakeview and lived on Long Pond Road. There she was married to John McGrath of Phoenicia, NY, who died in 1977. Mom continued to love skiing and became head of the Catamount Ski School. She was Salisbury Town Clerk for four years, and loved golf in the summer. She was a regular at the Hotchkiss course. Her signature was a wonderful laugh and a big smile.
In 1989 she married Gerald M. Buyce of Lake Pleasant, NY. She moved away from her hometown and built her dream house on Lake Pleasant. There she and Gerry lived until Mom's death on May 27, 2003. Burial will be private, as will the services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Saint Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY or Salisbury Winter Sports Association in Salisbury, Conn. in memory of Weesie Buyce. Louis Rosmarino

Mr. Louis Rosmarino, 66, of Broadalbin, died May 30, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital Amsterdam.

He was born on January 9, 1938 in Belvedere Maritime, Calabria, Italy, the son of Anthony and Pauline DeLuca Rosmarino.

Mr. Rosmarino graduated from Gloversville High School in 1957 and received a BS degree from SUNY Cortland, a MA degree from SUNY Albany and a MS degree from Union College, Schenectady.
He was a Mathematics Teacher with Greater Amsterdam School District for 34 years, retiring in 1995.

Mr. Rosmarino was a member of the Amsterdam Teachers Association, the New York State United Teachers Association, and the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Co. Teachers Federal Credit Union. He also acted as an assistant Den Leader with Cub Scout Pack 51 and was an assistant Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 51, both of Broadalbin.

He was married on September 3, 1960 to Barbara Mansfield, who survives.

Mr. Rosmarino is also survived by a son, Dean Rosmarino of Gloversville; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Gabriel, Gillian and Alexander Rosmarino; two sisters, Josephine Rosmarino of Johnstown, and Pauline Brickner and her husband Frederick of Galway; several nieces, nephews, a grandniece and grandnephew and cousins.

He was predeceased by his daughter, DeAnn Lynn Rosmarino on Nov. 27, 1990.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main St., Broadalbin, where a Legacy Candle ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Dorothy C. Barben

Dorothy C. Barben, 75, of Union Mills Road, Broadalbin, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at home following a long illness.

She was born in Brooklyn on May 25, 1929, a daughter of Charles and Loretta Harrington Burkhardt and was educated there. Mrs. Barben had resided in Broadalbin since 1967.

She was employed as a custodian for the Broadalbin-Perth School District until retiring in 1994. She continued to serve as a substitute custodian until 18 months ago.
Mrs. Barben was of the Catholic faith.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and bingo.

Her son, George C. Barben died on December 3, 2004 in South Carolina.

Survivors include her husband, George J. Barben, whom she married in Brooklyn on April 24, 1949; a daughter, Loretta M. Hoyt and her husband Robert of Broadalbin; a sister, Henrietta Gunderson of Bayshore, N.Y.; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 38 West Main Street, Broadalbin with Rev. Robert Powhida officiating. Burial will be at 12 p.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Broadalbin Volunteer Ambulance Corps or to the Kennyetto Fire Company, both in care of the funeral home.

William S. Bradley

William S. Bradley, 96, of Johnstown, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam after a long illness.

He was born January 29, 1909 in Brooklyn, a son of the late William E. and Florence E. Scriven Bradley.

Bill attended schools in Oswegatchie, St. Lawrence County.
Before coming to Johnstown, he was an airplane mechanic at the Glenn L. Martin Plant in Baltimore for eight years. Arriving in Johnstown in 1949, he operated a gas station and auto repair shop until his retirement in January 1973.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Johnstown; a 40 year member of the Johnstown Loyal Order of Moose; and charter member of the Pine Tree Bowling League. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

On January 27, 1945 he married Sally S. Cohen Bradley and she died November 7, 1991.

Survivors include one son, W. Edward (Lynda) Bradley of Johnstown; one daughter, Janet (Gary) Schreivogl of Voorheesville; four grandchildren, Stacy Smith, Craig Schreivogl, Jeff Bradley and Kim Kortz; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main St., Johnstown.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation will be at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to Mountain Valley Hospice or to JAVAC.

Richard Charles Valcovic

Richard Charles Valcovic died on May 7, 2003 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Franklin, MA after a brief illness. He was born November 4, 1916 in Johnstown, NY, the son of Helen and Lorenc Valachovic. He is survived by his former wife, Eleanor Jones Valcovic; his sister, Julia Henry of Johnstown, NY; and five children, Dorothy Howe of Hamburg, NY, Lawrence Valcovic of Annapolis, MD and David, Donald and Clark Valcovic of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

After graduating from Johnstown High School, Richard went on to study accounting at Bentley College in Boston. Subsequently he spent a career in sales, working for the Union Paste Co. of Hyde Park, MA.

He was always active in community theater, acting in many plays with various groups, including the Footlight Club in Jamaica Plain, MA.
In recent years, Richard was living in Needham on Linden Street and was a volunteer at the Deaconess Glover Hospital in Needham.

Friends and family are invited to a gathering held in his memory at the Needham V.F.W. Club, 20 Junction St., Needham, MA on Sunday, June 15, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Beth Israel Deaconess Needham Annual Fund: 148 Chestnut St., Needham, MA 02192.

Dorothea N. Cooper

Mrs. Dorothea N. Cooper passed away from complications of a stroke at 2:05 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital with her children at her side. She was born in Amsterdam, New York on February 2nd, 1921 to Mr. Peter C. Getwright Sr. and Vivian Violet Miller. She was the widow of the late Mr. Roy H. Cooper Jr. and lived at 4293 State Highway 30, Lot 81, Amsterdam, New York.

Her parents moved to New York city, when she was a little girl, where her father owned and operated a garage and her mother worked for ATT. After a couple of years, she moved back to live with her aunt at 153 Division Street. Her folks moved back to Amsterdam after a few more years. Dorothea graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1938 and attended Reynolds Business School on Union Street. She worked at various institutions in Amsterdam as a cashier. On February 5, 1941 she married Roy and they spent 64 wonderful years together before his passing on February 21, 2005.

She raised two children, Joel Roy Cooper of Moxee, WA and Candice Dae Cook of Gansevoort, NY; Mrs. Samantha Loucks of Amsterdam, NY; Mrs. Kimberly Rashell of Kent WA and Mr. Jason Cooper of Moxee, WA. She also is survived by a great-grandson, Tyler Loucks, who has a brother on the way plus a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.
Dorothea was the Amsterdam City and Town of Amsterdam Historian for over 20 years. She was well liked in the Amsterdam City Hall and in the County Archives in Fonda, New York, where she spent many hours conducting research on her passion of genealogy. She worked diligently to place various locations in Amsterdam and the surrounding area onto the National and New York State Registries, including the City Hall of Amsterdam. Amsterdam and the surrounding area has numerous markers identifying places of historical value due to Dorothea's research.

She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Colonial Dames; Heritage and Genealogical Society of Montgomery County, Palatine Society of the Evangelical Lutheran Church; Perth Seniors; Cranesville Seniors; Charleston Historical Society; Montgomery County Historical Society; Walter Elwood Museum; Erie Canal Society; Broadalbin Historical Society; United Presbyterian Church; and was the chairperson for the Markers of Montgomery County.

Services will be Thursday at 1 at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., with the Rev. Alice A Monschke officiating. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Dorothea's name to the Heritage and Genealogical Society of Montgomery County, Fonda, New York or the Mountain Valley Hospice, 73 North Main Street, Gloversville, New York 12078.
