She was part owner with her husband of the Del Bliss Marina in Brewerton for several years. Her husband, Del, died in 1971. Survivors: Three daughters, Bernadine Stewart of Reno, Marcia Kimball of Pine City and Sally Fortino of Parish; a son, B. David Butler of Solomons, Md.; a sister, June Wiley of Lancaster, Pa.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services: Private. Burial, West Monroe Cemetery. No calling hours. Barbara Brown, 62, of 102 N. Fernwood Road, Pulaski, formerly of North Syracuse, died Thursday of cancer. She attended Eastwood High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Robert Edwards Post 358 American Legion Auxiliary. Her son, Timothy died in 1993. Another son, Michael, in 1959. Survivors: Her husband of 45 years, Thomas J; two daughters, Karen Dunn of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kelly Brown of Altmar; two sons, Terry and Ted, both of Pulaski; two brothers, John Simms of Brewerton and James Simms of Syracuse; four granddaughters. Services: 11 a.m. Monday in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pulaski. Burial, South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours, 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski. Dorothy Burgess

Dorothy Snyder Burgess, 87, of Ithaca died Thursday. Born in Earlville, she lived in Hamilton until 1979, before moving to Dryden and then to Ithaca in 2000. She retired from the College Pharmacy in Hamilton. She was a 50-year member of Park United Methodist Church in Hamilton before transferring to United Methodist Church of Dryden. She was a life member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star 511 of Hamilton. She was a member of United Methodist Women. Her husband, Henry K., died in 1979. Survivors: A daughter, Janipher Ripley of Brandon, Vt.; a son, Carl of Freeville; a brother, Ronald Snyder of Morrisville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Monday in Dryden United Methodist Church, 2 North St., Dryden. Burial, 3 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Hamilton. No calling hours. Guerriero C.D. "Guerino" Federico, 85, of Syracuse died Thursday at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Introdacqua, Italy, he lived in Syracuse the last 54 years. He retired in 1979 after 30 years at Prestolite. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church and a member of Progresso Lodge, sons of Italy. He was a former member of the Abruzze and Molise Society and a former president of the Onesta and Lavoro Lodge. Survivors: His wife of 54 years, the former Genevieve M. DeSantis; two daughters, Amelita McGrath of Long Island and Ofelia Bell of Syracuse; a sister, Lidia DeSantis of Boston; three brothers, Domenico of Italy, Pasquale of Syracuse and Carmine of Liverpool; five grandchildren. Services: 8:15 a.m. Monday at Farone and Son Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. George F. Fitzgerald

George F. Fitzgerald of Liverpool died Wednesday. Born in Utica, he graduated from St. Francis DeSales School, Utica, and Benjamin Franklin University in 1950. He was a special agent in the intelligence division of the Treasury Department. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree Assembly, Utica, and a member of Liverpool American Legion Post 188. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Marie Pontoriero, died in 2000. Survivors: Several nieces and nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Monday in Christ the King Church. David P. Kinane

David Patrick Kinane, 59, of 201 Fay Lane, Minoa, died Thursday. Born in Rome, he graduated in 1960 from Marcellus Central School. He retired in 1998 after 15 years as a mortgage specialist with Fleet Funding Corp. He was a member of the Toastmasters Club of Cazenovia and a former volunteer driver for the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps. He was a volunteer with AmeriCorps, a division of P.E.A.C.E., Inc. of Syracuse. Survivors: His wife, the former JoAnn LoBello; a daughter, Sarah E. Kinane of Syracuse; a son, Patrick of Baldwinsville; his mother, Fleda Spinks Kinane of Marcellus; two sisters, Kathleen Khouri of Minoa and Linda Miller of Marcellus. Raymond A. Staerker

Raymond A. Staerker, 70, of Glenmont, formerly of Syracuse, died Wednesday. Born in Syracuse, he lived many years in the Syracuse area before moving to Troy about 30 years ago and to Glenmont three years ago. He graduated in 1950 from St. John the Baptist High School, Syracuse, and received a bachelor's degree in 1954 from Le Moyne College, master's degree in education from the state University of New York at Buffalo and a master's degree in social work from Syracuse University. He was a probation officer with the Onondaga County Probation Department for seven years and retired in 1980 after 10 years as a family court supervisor with the Rensselaer County Probation Department, Troy. He was a former member of Civil Service Employees Association and a communicant of St. Bonaventure Church, Troy. Survivors: His wife, the former Eugenia M. Spychaj; a son, John R. of Glenmont; two daughters, Lisa M. Asadorian of Glenmont and Laura Staerker of Rhinecliff; a sister, Christine Staerker of Syracuse; five grandchildren. Theodore Tainter

Theodore Tainter, 69, of 2733 Erieville Road, Erieville, died Thursday. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Cazenovia High School. He retired as a weigh station operator for Worlock Paving, Perryville. He was town justice from 1968 to 1981 and highway superintendent from 1982 to 1987 for the town of Nelson. He was a member of Erieville United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Cherry Valley Memorial Post 113. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Survivors: His wife of 44 years, the former Kay DeClercq; a daughter, Lori Carroll of Erieville; two sons, Monte of Norwich, Conn., and Gregory of Erieville; a brother, LeLand of Erieville; six grandchildren. She retired in 1971 after 45 years with New York and New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. in New York City. She was a member of the Pioneers of America Phone Company Club, New Jersey. Her first husband Edward C. Norman died previously. Survivors: Her husband, Charles N. Jr., of Granby; two daughters, Viola V. Rogers of Fulton and Joan E. Adams of Yorktown Heights; a stepdaughter Lois Mayer of Sussex, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
