Joseph Zupkevich

Joseph Zupkevich, 79, died Thursday at the Montgomery County Infirmary after a long illness.
Born in Amsterdam, Mr. Zupkevich was a lifelong city resident.
For many years, he was a resident of Liberty Enterprises until moving to the Infirmary in 1994.
Survivors include a nephew, Robert Caputo of Scotia; and a niece, Linda Williams of Syracuse.
A service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the DeStefano Funeral Home, Route 5S, Amsterdam.
Burial will be in St. Casimer's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Enterprises, in care of the funeral home.
Shirley Cottone
Aug. 7, 1996
Mrs. Shirley Campbell Cottone, 57, of Emmett Street, Schenectady, died Wednesday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
A lifelong Schenectady resident, Mrs. Cottone was a waitress for five years for the Tic Tock Restaurant in Colonie.
Her husband of 27 years, George R. Cottone, died in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Bruce W. Campbell of Marcy; a stepson, Jeffrey P. Ladd of Schenectady; four daughters, Dominica A. Cottone and Candace M. Weaver, both of Schenectady, Pearl J. Cassillo of Scotia, and Brenda L. Olechowski of Amsterdam; a sister, Linda Cladd of Albany; a brother, Kenneth J. Campbell of Florida; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park Abbey.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.
A calling hour will be held prior to the service at the abbey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, 12308.

Bruce Leibold
Aug. 8, 1996
Bruce c. Leibold, 64, of Fayville Road, Galway, died Thursday at home after a long illness.
Born May 28, 1932 in Bowling Green Ohio, Mr. Leibold was a graduate of Garfield High School in Akron, Ohio. He lived in Galway for the past nine years.
Mr. Leibold was a career Navy man, serving during the Korean and Vietnam wars before retiring in 1970.
After his military service, he was a data communications and marketing specialist for the General Electric Company and several other companies, retiring in 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine "Murph" LaFountain Leibold; a son, Bruce C. Leibold Jr., serving with the Navy in Oklahoma City; two daughters, Lisa Bouchard of Scotia and Tracey Hay of Burnt Hills; two brothers, Robert G. Leibold of Monroe, Va., and Richard L. Leibold of Kingman, Ariz.; two sisters, Janice L. Koby and Barbara L. McDonnell, both of Vero Beach, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at West Charlton United Presbyterian Church, Routes 147 and 67.
Burial will be in Galway Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Richard J. Ryan Funeral Home, Sacandaga Road, Galway village.

Vivian "Fannie" Gardner

Mrs. Vivian "Fannie" Gardner, 81, of North Main Street, Northville, died Wednesday at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, after a long illness.
Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, Mrs. Gardner came to this country at age 5 and was educated in Broadalbin.
She was a resident of Northville for 58 years.
For many years, Mrs. Gardner was a glove maker for Serfis Glove Company and lastly for Perrella Glove Company, before retiring.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Northville.
Her husband, William R. Gardner, whom she married Oct. 8, 1932, died in 1983.
Survivors include three sons, Donald R. Gardner of Cohoes, Fred C. Gardner of Las Vegas, and Gary L. Gardner of Linwood, N.J.; a daughter, Janet Eschler of Northville; a brother, Frank Ryfa of Vail Mills; a sister, Emma Warner of Mayfield; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Northville Funeral Home, 401Bridge St.
Burial will take place in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Bill Wilmot
A memorial service will be held for Guy W. "Bill" Wilmot, who died July 18.
The service will be held at noon Saturday at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Clinton Street, Johnstown.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.

Aurelio Fiorillo

Aurelio W. (Bill) Fiorillo, 70, of Garden Street, Amsterdam, died Friday at Glens Falls Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Amsterdam Aug. 9, 1926, the son of Vincenzo and Marianne LaPorta Fiorillo. He was a 1944 graduate of the Amsterdam school system and was a lifelong city resident.
Mr. Fiorillo was employed as a machinist at General Electric in Schenectady, retiring in 1986, and served as shop steward of AFL-CIO 301. He then worked for John D. Marcella's Appliances until the onset of his illness.
Mr. Fiorillo was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving aboard the USS Marathon in the Asiatic and South Pacific Theater.
He was a member of Amsterdam VFW Post 55 and was past commander. He was a member of Posts 39 and 701; a past chairman of the Amsterdam Veterans Council; he served as liaison with the City of Amsterdam Veterans Council, serving on many committees for the memorial parks. He was active for many years organizing veterans parades; he served as co-chairman of the 175th anniversary celebration; he served on the recreational committee and was a coach in the Wee Men's Baseball League.
Mr. Fiorillo was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church and the former St. Joseph's Church; a member of the Holy Name Society and the St. Anthony's Society, having served two terms as president; he was a former member of the cemetery committee and served as chairman; he was co-chairman of many church spaghetti dinners; served as lector and Eucharistic minister of the church; he was a member of the Mount Carmel Senior and a member of the Amsterdam chapter of the Full Gospel Fellowship.
Mr. Fiorillo was an avid bowler with the St. John's and Sunday Night Couples leagues; and played basketball and softball in the Amsterdam Recreation League for many years. He was a member of the Mount Carmel and Armory Grill bocci leagues.
He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Fiorillo, in 1908, and a grandson, Vincent Michael Fiorillo, in 1993.
Survivors include his wife, the former Norma Carbone, whom he married June 13, 1948; three daughters, Patricia Hook of Atlanta, Kathleen Spraker of Perth and Marianne Witho of Amsterdam; a son, Vincent Fiorillo Sr. of Amsterdam; two sisters, Louise Sisario and Mary Sluzas of Amsterdam; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the DeStefano Funeral Home, Route 5S, Amsterdam, followed at 9:15 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church or to Response Ambulance Service, in care of the funeral home.
Doris Kravis
Aug. 9, 1996
Mrs. Doris W. Kravis, 75, of 48 Pawling St., Hagaman, died Friday morning at her home after being stricken.
Born May 16, 1921, in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of Arthur and Daisy Wentworth Clapper. She was a lifelong area resident and was a 1938 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.
She was employed for 19 years as the clerk for the Village of Hagaman, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of the Calvary Reformed Church in Hagaman and its women's group.
She was married to Victor A. Kravis Feb. 16, 1941.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Thomas Kravis of Benson; two daughters, Sharon Kravis of Hagaman and Kristine O'Leary of Dorset, Vt.; a brother, Carl Clapper of Tribes Hill; two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Betz Funeral Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, with the Rev. Susan Crane officiating. Burial will be in Hagaman Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department or the Calvary Reformed Church of Hagaman.
