John B. Lewis
John B. Lewis, 79, of Brewerton New York died Tuesday, December 28th at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.
He was born and lived his whole life in Brewerton. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He retired from New Process Gear after 30 years. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #624; American Legion Post # 787 in Cicero; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3146 in Mattydale; and the Oneida Lake South Shore Association.
He was pre-deceased by a son Lawrence in 1992. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, the former Elizabeth Edem; a daughter Linda Baker of Clay; 2 sisters, Arlene Kramp of Reno, NV; and Grace Parker of Fulton; 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday December 31st at 9 AM at the Sears-Middleton-Jones Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Mark Allert of the Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Pine Plains Cemetery Clay. Calling hours will be on Thursday Dec 30th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home 209 N. Main St. North Syracuse.

Mary A. Farrance
Mary A. Farrance 58, of Cleveland, NY and Zephryhills, Florida, died November 19th in Zephyrhills. She was born in Syracuse.
Surviving are her Husband Frederick; 2 Daughters - Patricia Colunio of Clay and Laura Hogpost of NJ; 2 Sons - John Lindsay of North Syracuse and Jamie Lindsay of Oregon; 2 Step-Daughters - Meredith Saluzzo of Buffalo and Michelle Wack of California; 1 Step-son Patrick Farrance of Buffalo; Her Father and Step-mother Baron and Ida Severance of Syracuse and Eight grandchildren.
A memorial Mass with Fr. Frank P. Young officiating will be held on Saturday December 11th at 12 PM at the Sears-Middleton-Jones Funeral Home Inc.
The family will receive friends from 11 Am to 12PM Saturday at the funeral home 209 N. Main St. North Syracuse. Contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice, no flowers please.

CLYDE- Mr. Peter A. Caprilla, 76, of 10237 Old Route 31
West, died Tuesday (February 4, 2003) at the Wuesthoff
Memorial Hospital in Rockledge, FL.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (February
7th) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Baris Funeral Home, 87
W. Genesee St., Clyde, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated on Saturday (February 8th) at 11AM in
St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Clyde with Rev.
James Hewes officiating. Spring burial will be in Rose
Cemetery, Rose, NY.

Corps, P.O. Box 145, Clyde, NY or to the Clyde Fire
Department, P.O. Box 266, Clyde, NY 14433 would be

Mr. Caprilla was born on June 28, 1926 in Clyde, NY. He
was the son of Anthony and Mary DiSanto Copolo. Peter
was a life resident of Clyde and a member of St. John's
Church in Clyde. He and his wife have wintered in Florida
many years. Peter was a retiree of the Borden Can
Company of Lyons. He had enjoyed spending time with
his children, his grandchildren and gardening.
Surviving ar his wife of 54 years, Margaret Loveless
Caprilla of Clyde, 2 sons, Ronald (Kathie) Caprilla of
Melbourne, FL and Thomas (Barbara) Caprilla of Clyde,
one daughter, Darlene (David) Duprey of Waterloo, 8
grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, 3 sisters, Mrs.
Angeline (Henry) DiSanto of Clyde, Mary Alice (Carl)
Quagliata of Lyons and Mrs. Barbara Leigh of Melbourne,
FL.
He was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Joseph and John
Capalla and his sister, Anastasia Giaquint.
Mrs. Helen Carr
Clyde- Mrs. Helen Carr, 85, formerly of 65 Lock Street,
died Friday (January 17, 2003) at the Sunnyside Nursing
Home in East Syracuse, NY.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday (Jan
21st) from 2-4PM at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W.
Genesee St. Clyde, NY . Funeral services will be held at
the funeral home immediately following calling hours.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Clyde, NY.
Mrs. Carr was born in Dupont, PA on August 12, 1917.
She was the daughter of Anthony and Anna Domoraski
Romanowski. She had lived in the Syracuse area most of
her life, and was a hairdresser at the Powder Puff Beauty
Shop in Syracuse. She had moved to Clyde in the early
1980's, and was a member of St. John the Evangelist
R.C. Church.
Surviving are 13 step-children, Joseph (Joyce) Carr of
Newark, Richard (Rita) Carr of Newark, John (Barbara)
Carr of Waterloo, Robert (Rita) Carr of Grants Pass, OR,
Donald (Lois) Carr of Grants Pass, OR, Timothy Carr of
Newark, Charles Carr of Portland, OR, Mary Waddle of
Niagara Falls, NY, Beverly (Donald) Van Hoover of
Newark, Barbara (Edward) Rosa, of Grants Pass, OR,
Charlotte (Thomas) Damick of Newark, Margaret
(Norman) Percy of Riviera Beach, FL, 1 grandson,
Edmund Majeski of NJ, 1 daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sandra
Majeski of NJ and 1 sister-in-law, Mrs. Eleanor
Romanowski of West Amboy, NY and several nieces and
nephews. Also surviving are numerous step
grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, Edmund
Majeski in 1979 and Joseph Carr in 1991., and her son
Edmund Majeski in 2001.
Mr. Dominic A. DeLesio
CLYDE- Mr. Dominic A. DeLesio, 83, of 94 Galen Street,
died Thursday (February 20, 2003) at Via Health of
Wayne Newark Campus following a brief illness.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday (February
23rd) from 4-7PM at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W.
Genesee St. Clyde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated on Monday (February 24th) at 10 AM in St.
John the Evangelist R.C. Church Clyde. Spring burial will
be in the Rose Cemetery, Rose, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Clyde
Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 145, Clyde, NY
14433 or to the St. John's Church Memorial Fund, Sodus
Street, Clyde, NY 14433 would be appreciated.
Mr. DeLesio was born in Clyde on September 15, 1919.
He was the son of Lorenzo and Mary Signorf DeLisio.
Dominic was a veteran of W.W.II, serving in the Army. He
was a lifelong resident of Clyde and a member of St. John
the Evangelist Church. Mr. DeLesio was a retired
munitions inspector for the the United States Government.
Dominic will be remembered for his love of music. He was
a member of the musician's union Local 66 in Rochester,
and had been a member of the "Clyde Saxton Band" and
"For Dancer's Only" band. He also held membership in
the Brown-DiSanto Post # 226 of the American Legion in
Clyde and the Bud Hinman VFW Post 947 in Clyde,
where he served as Chaplin for many years. Dom was
also a member of the Clyde Lions Club, the Clyde Fire Department,
National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the
Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Carmella Davis of Clyde, 3
nephews, Timothy (Mary) Davis of Ohio, Lawrence Davis
of Clyde and Andrew Davis of Clyde, 2 nieces Rosemary
D'Ettore of Rochester and Margaret (Gene) Conti of
Rochester and several grand nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Alice in 2001, his
brother, Anthony DeLesio and two sisters, Tinella Rice
and Mary D'Ettore.
Mr. John A. "Bullets" DeVito
CLYDE- Mr. John A. DeVito, 83, of 57 Waterloo St. died
Friday (January 24, 2003) at his home following an
extended illness.
At his request, there will be no prior calling hours. Family
and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life
on Saturday (February 1st) at the Clyde VFW Post 940
from 2 to 4 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the
Genesee Region Home Care, 513 West Union St.,
Newark, NY 14513 or Finger Lakes Community Cancer
Center, 2 Coulter Rd. Clifton Springs, NY 14432.
Mr. DeVito was born in Lyons, NY on September 25,
1919. He was the son of Frank and Angeline Cipriano
DeVito. John was a Veteran of World War II, serving with
the US Army in Japan and was the owner of John's
Furniture Co. in Clyde for over 50 years. Mr. DeVito was
a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in
Clyde and also was a member of the Clyde VFW Post
947, and a past member of the Clyde Chamber of
Commerce and the Clyde Lions Club. He was known to
be an avid hunter and fisherman. He and his wife Gladys
Robinette DeVito were married on April 12, 1980.
Surviving are his wife Gladys of Clyde. 3 daughters, Dolly
(John) Colasurdo of Clyde, Jackie DeVito of Waterloo
and Marsha (David) Farrlley of Auburn, 2 sons, John
(Janet) DeVito of Clyde and Mark DeVito of Clyde.
3 step-children, Rita Christensen of Clifton Springs, Linda
(John) Wright of Clyde and Patty (Larry) Doyle of Clyde.
His sister, Minnie Scibona of Seneca Falls, 7 grand-
children, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and
3 step great-grandchildren.
