Mrs. Josephine Carnevale - Greco

CLYDE- Mrs. Josephine (Josie) Carnevale-Greco, 80, of
61 W. Dezeng St. died Wednesday (May 22, 2002) at the
Wayne County Nursing Home following an extended
illness.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (May 24th)
from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W.
Genesee St., Clyde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
held on Saturday (May 25th) at 9:30 AM in St. John the
Evangelist R.C. Church in Clyde. Rev. James Hewes will
officiate. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Clyde.
Memorial contributions to St. John's Church Memorial
Fund, 114 Sodus St. Clyde, NY 14433 or to the Roswell
Park Alliance Foundation, Roswell Park Cancer Inst.,
P.O. Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240 would be appreciated.
Mrs. Carnevale was born in Lyons, NY on November
11, 1921. She was the daughter of Anthony and Tinella
Nicoletta Liseno. Josie was a lifetime resident of Clyde
and a member of St. John's Church. She had worked
many years as a waitress at Matty's Ship Lantern Inn and
other various restaurants in the area.
Surviving are her husband, Orlando Greco of Clyde. 3
daughters, Sandra Carnevale of Clyde, Carol Carnevale
of Clyde and Sherry (Peter) DiSanto of San Diego, CA. 3
step-daughters, Karen Hacker of Geneva, Kathy (Brian)
Feldman of Seneca Falls and Paula (Thomas) Tindal of
Florida, 2 step-sons Jimmy (Marlene) Greco and Daniel
(Karen) Greco, both of Geneva 2 grandchildren, Ann
Marie ( Kenney) Foster and Melanie (Todd) Geil, 3 great-
grandchildren, Zachary Renner, Ariel Luna and Jacob
Geil.
She was pre-deceased by her first husband Ned
Carnevale in 1990, 3 brothers, Michael, Charles and
Joseph Liseno, 4 sisters, Angie Loder, Helen DeMarzio,
Rosie DeLuca and Mary Ann DeLucia.

Adams, John "Jay"

Clyde- Mr. John "Jay" Adams, 72, of 172 W. Genesee St.
died unexpectedly Saturday (June 1, 2002) at Via Health
of Wayne Newark Campus. Family and friends are invited
to call on Wednesday (June 5th) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at
the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W. Genesee St., Clyde, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (June 6th) at
10AM in the Christ Community Church, Clyde, with Rev.
Dana Rattray officiating. Burial will follow in Rose
Cemetery, Rose, NY
Memorial contributions to the New York Special
Olympics, c/o Monroe Developmental Center
620 Westfall Road Rochester, NY 14620 would be
appreciated.
Mr. Adams was born in Rose, NY on September 19,
1929. He was the son of Everett and Jennie Dickenson
Adams. Jay was a member of the Wolcott Elks Club, and
was an avid bowler. He was also a member of the Lone
Pine Hunting Camp and Goose Pond Hunting Camp. Mr.
Adams retired from the Gleason Corp in Rochester in
1990.
He is survived by his son, Fred Adams of Clyde,
daughters, Ann Marie (Richard) Griffeth of Pleasant Hill,
IL, Jeannie (Neil) Loveless of Fair Haven, NY, Jackie
(Earl) Terhune of Chesapeake, VA, Wendy
(Rick)Langford of Odin, IL and Valerie Adams of Clyde,
his brother, Robert (Ellen) Adams of France, his sister
Janet (Bill) Triska of Florida, his uncle, Charlie Adams of
North Rose, NY 12 grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren and a special friend Darlene Enderlin of
Clyde. Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Thelma in 1990.

Mrs. Dorine Jackson

CLYDE- Mrs. Dorine Jackson, 65, of 61 West Genesee
St. died suddenly on Monday (October 14, 2002) at Via
Health of Wayne Newark Campus.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday
(October 17th) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Baris Funeral
Home, 87 West Genesee St. Clyde. Funeral services will
be held at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lyons on Friday
(October 18th) at 11 AM with the Rev. King Lewis
officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Clyde.
Memorial contributions to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church,
Spencer & Holley St., Lyons, NY 14489 would be
appreciated.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Palm Beach, Florida on
September 7, 1937. She was the daughter of John and
Rosa Bradwell Lockwood. She was married to her
husband, Charles, on June 25, 1955. Dorine was a
resident of Clyde since 1968, and had been employed by
the Mobil Chemical Company in Macedon for over 18
years. Prior to that, she had been employed by the
Wayne County Action Program. She was an active
member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lyons for many
years.
Surviving are her husband Charles Jackson Sr. of Clyde,
3 daughters, Sharon Lockhart (and her fiancé' Russ
Brown) of Savannah, Betty Jean Jackson of Clyde and
Priscilla A. Jackson of Henrietta, 3 sons, Charles (Evelyn)
Jackson Jr. of Orlando, FL, John W. Jackson of Clyde
and Timothy (Margo) Jackson of Henrietta, NY. One
brother, John Lockwood of Quincy, FL, and one sister,
Mary (Joe) Kinder of Utica, NY 20 grandchildren and 4
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mariette A. O'Brien

CLYDE- Mrs. Mariette A. O'Brien, 94, of Clyde, died
Friday (October 11, 2002) at the Elm Manor Nursing
Home in Canandaigua following an extended illness.
At her request there will be no prior calling hours.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of
Christian Burial on Tuesday (October 15th) at 10:30 AM
in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Clyde, with the
Rev. Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in Newark
Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to St. John's Church Memorial
Fund, 114 Sodus Street, Clyde, NY 14433 or to the
Clyde Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 145, Clyde,
NY 14433 would be appreciated.
Mrs. O'Brien was born in Brussels, Belgium on November
29, 1907. She was the daughter of Eugene and Emma
Pyck VandenBosch. She immigrated to the United States
in 1915, and had graduated from Newark High School in
1927. On December 2, 1933 she married her husband,
the late Charles L. O'Brien. Mrs. O'Brien and her husband
Charles were the printers and publishers of the Wayne
County Herald Eagle, a weekly newspaper, which they
published for over 35 years.
Mariette was a past director and member of the Wayne
County Association of Retarded Children. She was the
first women President of the Clyde Chamber of
Commerce, and past Deputy Town Clerk of the Town of
Galen. Mrs. O'Brien was also a past Vice President of the
Wayne County Red Cross, and past President of the
Clyde Women of Rotary. She was a honorary member of
Court Gleason #924 of the Catholic Daughters of America
and a member of the Clyde Residence Association of
Retarded Children Advisory Board. For many years,
Mariette was the Girl Scout Cookie Chairperson in the
Clyde area.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Jane Pilly of
Missoula, Montana, Mrs. Kathleen (Michael) Holvey of
Pittsford, NY and Mrs. Kathleen (Craig) DiLeo of Port
Orange, Florida. She has 7 grandchildren and 15 great-
grandchildren
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Baris
Funeral Home, Clyde, NY.

Mr. Anthony T. Liseno

CLYDE- Mr. Anthony T. Liseno, 77, of 65 Lock St. died
Friday (October 4, 2002) at Rochester General Hospital
following a brief illness.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday (October
7th) from 4-7PM at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W.
Genesee St. Clyde.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday
(October 8th) at 9AM in St. John the Evangelist R.C.
Church, Clyde, w/ Rev. James Hewes officiating. Burial
will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Clyde.

Mr. Liseno was born in Clyde, NY on November 11, 1924.
He was the son of Raphael and Flora Simolo Liseno.
Anthony served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a
member of the American Legion Post # 0286 in Newark,
NY and a member of the Bud Hinman Post of the VFW #
947 in Clyde. He was retired from the Newark
Developmental Center.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce (Debbie) Liseno of Clyde
and Jeff Lisanto of Wolcott, two daughters, Terry (Scott) Hughes of Lyons
and Dawn Palazzo of Webster, NY., One step-daughter, Cynthia
(Larry) DeLisio of Clyde, One brother, Mr.
Robert (Nola) Liseno of Florida, two sisters, Helen (Al)
Forkas of Auburn, NY and Mathilda Webster of Endicott,
NY .10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Dorothy in 1987

Mr. Gilbert H. VanNorman Jr.

CLYDE- Mr. Gilbert H. VanNorman Jr, 60, formerly of
Clyde, died unexpectedly Thursday (September 26, 2002)
in Mt. Pleasant, PA.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday (Oct.
1st) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W.
Genesee St. Clyde, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Oct. 2nd) at
10AM in the Christ Community Church, W. Genesee St.,
Clyde. Burial will follow in East Palmyra Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the American Red Cross would
be appreciated.
Mr. VanNorman was born in Warsaw, NY on January 21,
1942. He was the son of Gilbert H. and Hazel Sargent
VanNorman Sr. Gilbert was a resident of Pennsylvania
for the past four months, but prior to moving there he had
been a resident of Clyde for most of his life. He served in
the United States Army from 1961-1963. He was formerly
employed by the Sarah Coventry Co. of Newark. He was
a volunteer of the American Red Cross, a member of the
Christ Community Church and a member of the Clyde
Chamber of Commerce.
Surviving are 2 sons, Gilbert H. VanNorman III of Newark,
and John (Sherry) VanNorman of Newark, 5 daughters,
Athena (Ross) Chrisman of Lyons, Valancy VanNorman
of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Rebecca (Russell) Dorff of
Youngwood, PA, Jessica VanNorman of Lyons, and
Kathleen (Ramiro) Zavala of Atlanta, GA.3 brothers,
Arthur (Iris) VanNorman of MArion, William Mullen of
Cheyanne, WY., and Kenneth (Patricia) VanNorman of
Sodus, 4 sisters, Bonnie Larios of Newark, Hazel
(Robert)Arnold of Lyons, Betty Fogerty of Prattsburgh
and Molly VanNorman of California, 17 grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews and his former wife, Martha
Leddick VanNorman.
