Mildred E. Scriber

CLYDE - Mrs. Mildred E. Scriber, 94, of 144Caroline St. died
Sunday (October 28, 2007) at Newark Wayne Hospital
following a brief Illness.
At her request there will be no prior calling hours. Family
and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on
Wednesday (October 31st) at 11 AM in the Grace
Episcopal Church in Lyons (Phelps St.). Reverend Krista
Cameron will officiate. Burial will be in the Hannibal
Village Cemetery, Hannibal, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be
made to the Grace Episcopal Church Stained Glass
Fund, P.O. Box 316, Lyons, NY 14489 or to the Clyde
Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 145, Clyde, NY
14433.
Mrs. Scriber was born in Oswego on June 10, 1913, the
daughter of Herbert J. and Nellie Evans McCrobie. She
was the widow of Calvert M. Scriber, owner of Scriber's
Pharmacy in Clyde, who pre-deceased her in September
1979. Mrs. Scriber was a resident of Clyde for over 62
years, and was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church
in Lyons for many years. Mildred was a past member of
the Women of Rotary, American Red Cross and the
Galen Historical Society. She was an avid golfer, and
was a past member of the Wayne Hills Country Club.
She is survived by her son James Scriber of Clyde and
several great nieces and great nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her
sister Ruth Ann Cross and her niece Kathy Cross.

Eugenia "Gina" M. Alvaro Dapolito

CLYDE- Mrs. Eugenia "Gina" M. Dapolito, 71, of 4
Adams Street died Wednesday (November 7, 2007) in
Morano Italy while visiting her sister.
Calling hours will be private for the family on Monday
evening (November 12th) at the Baris Funeral Home.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of
Christian Burial on Tuesday (November 13th) at 10 AM
in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church with the Rev.
Joseph Marcoux officiating. Entombment will follow in the
Garden Crypts of St. John's Cemetery in Clyde.
Memorial contributions to the St. John's Church
Renovation Fund, 114 Sodus Street, Clyde, NY 14433 or
to the Clyde Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 145,
Clyde, NY 14433 would be appreciated.
Mrs. Dapolitio was born on March 4, 1936 in Galatro,
Reggio Calabria, Italy, the daughter of Luigi and
Emacolata LaManna Alvaro.
She and her husband owned and operated Dapolito's
Florist and Greenhouses for over 25 years in Clyde. She
also owned and operated Mary's Fashion Shop and the
Men's Shop in Clyde prior to her semi-retirement in
which she then worked at J.L. Hammet's in Lyons,
NY, DeVries Gardens in Newark and Dapolito's Fruit
Stand in Clyde. Gina enjoyed flowering and gardening,
but above all the most important thing to her was the
time she spent helping to raise her grandchildren.
She will be missed by all that came in contact with her.
Surviving are her husband, George M. Dapolito of Clyde,
two daughters, Mrs. Gina (Gil) DeSpain of Baldwinsville,
and Mrs. Julie (Ted) Terrell of Fairport, 3 grandchildren,
Kristopher & Darcey DeSpain and Matthew Terrell; her
brother, Fortunato (Carol) Alvaro of Canandaigua; her
sisters Carmelina Alvaro DeCicco of Marano di Napoli,
Italy; Stella (Gary) Cowles of Royal Palm Beach, FL; her
aunt Stella Santelli of Tarpon Springs, FL and many
nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother Emacolata
LaManna Alvaro, her father Luigi Alvaro, her sister
Antonetta Alvaro Merlino.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baris
Funeral Home of Clyde.

Thomas F. Moulton

CLYDE- Mr. Thomas F. Moulton, 56, of 11459 Lock
Road, died unexpectedly on Monday (February 23, 2009)
at his home.
At his request, there will be no prior calling hours, and
funeral services will be private.
Thomas was born in Waterloo on June 29,1952, the son
of the late Wayne and Vivian Coffey Moulton. He was a
lifelong resident of Clyde and was employed by the
Clyde-Savannah School District for over 34 years. Most
recently he was the head custodian for the Clyde
Elementary School.
Surviving are his sister, Sandra (Rick) Witter of Phelps,
his 2 brothers James Moulton of Lyons and William
(Catherine) Moulton of Clyde; his aunt Geraldine
McIlwain of Clyde, his uncle William Coffey of Waterloo,
his nieces Susan D'Amato of Clyde & Billie Jo Hodlin of
Clyde; his nephews Steven Moulton of North Carolina,
Michael Witter of Newark and Brian Witter of Clay.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother
Ronald Moulton in 2006.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baris
Funeral Home of Clyde.

Mr. Joseph N. Marchitell

Clyde- Mr. Joseph N. Marchitell, 98, of 16 W. Dezeng
St., died Monday (September 9, 2002) at Via Health of
Wayne, Newark Campus following a brief illness.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday,
(Sept. 11th) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Baris Funeral
Home 87 W. Genesee St. Clyde. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, (Sept. 12th) at 11
AM in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church with Rev.
James Hewes officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's
Cemetery, Clyde.
Memorial contributions to St. John's Church Memorial
Fund, 114 Sodus Street, Clyde, NY 14433 or American
Heart Association would be appreciated.
Mr. Marchitell was born on May 12, 1904 in Rocco San
Felice, Italy. He was the son of Pasquale and Catherine
Santoli Marchitell. He has been a life long resident of
Clyde and a member of St. John the Evangelist Church.
Mr. Marchitell served in the United States Army from
1924-1927. He worked for Jackson and Perkins for many
years, and later worked for the Penn Central Railroad
Dispatch Shop in East Rochester.
Joseph was an avid bowler, and had bowled consistently
until the age of 80. He was inducted in Bowlers Hall of
Fame. In his younger years, he played baseball and was
a boxer.
Surviving are three sons, Howard J. (Jane) Marchitell of
Clyde, David (Paula) Marchitell of Palmyra, and John
Marchitell of Dowingtown, PA. two daughters, Mrs. Anne
Marie Cimineri of Clyde and Mrs. Betty (Samuel)
Cordovani of Clyde, one brother, Mr. Anthony (Elsie)
Marchitell of Clyde, a special friend, Mrs. Violet D'Amato
of Clyde, 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 5
great-great grandchildren.
Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Barbara
Marchitell of Clyde and a son-in-law, Mr. Anthony
Acquilano of Rochester.
He was pre-deceased by his two wives, Anna Amrose
Marchitell in 1975 and Angie Iocco Marchitell in 1991, his
son, Richard Marchitell, his daughter, Pauline Acquilano,
his grand-daughter, Diane Groat, his sister, Anna Marro
and his brother Dominic Marchitell

Mrs. Clara M. Lichtenwalter

CLYDE- Mrs. Clara M. Lichtenwalter, 97, formerly of Noble
Road and Waterloo Street in Clyde, died Sunday (February
10, 2002) at the Somerset Medical Center in Somervill, New
Jersey following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of
the family, with burial to take place in Bath National
Cemetery, Bath, NY.
Memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice would be
appreciated.
Mrs. Lichtenwalter was born in South River, NJ on January
23, 1905. On April 25, 1949 she married the late Donald J.
Lichtenwalter. She and her husband had lived in Germany
and France before moving back to the United States. Clara
moved into Clyde in 1970, and had been a member of the
Clyde United Methodist Church for many years. She was an
avid bingo player, and had volunteered her time to many
different causes.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Scherer of South River,
New Jersey, and Donald J. Lichtenwalter III of Montezuma,
many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Donald
Lichtenwalter in 1978, two sons, Richard Scherer and
Richard Lichtenwalter, and one daughter, Blanche Kearns.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Baris
Funeral Home, Clyde, NY
