Florence I. Albee

Batavia - Mrs. Florence I. Albee, age 81, of Batavia, formerly of Byron, a nurse at the former St. Jerome's Hospital for over 40 years, died Saturday, January 28, 2006, at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Albee was born October 18, 1924 in Franklinville, a daughter of the late Lewis I. and Florence Taggert Cook.

She was a lifetime member of St. James Episcopal Church and a 1965 graduate of Catherine McCauley School of Nursing.

Her husband, Irving J. Albee, died July 29, 1989.

Mrs. Albee is survived by her seven children, Michael J. Albee of Batavia, Carole E. (John E.) Kabel of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Clair J. Albee of Batavia, Sharon M. (Ronald Sr.) Barone of Batavia, Alanna M. (Laurence M.) McLeod of Santee, California, Jayne (Robert L.) Gaebler of Pavilion and Don Albee of Statesville, North Carolina; three brothers, Richard (Gladys) Cook of South Carolina, Alan (Barbara) Cook of Byron and Norman (Lorraine) Cook of Gaylord, Michigan; a brother-in-law, Donald Grice of Apopka, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Ardis O'Bryan of Pennsylvania and Doris Cook of LeRoy; an aunt, Alice F. Disler of Loveland, Colorado, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is predeceased by her siblings Herbert, Ward and Patricia Jean Cook and Lillian Hunt.

She is grandmother of the late Robert J. Gaebler and mother-in-law of the late Sharon R. (Colangelo) Albee.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery.

Mrs. Betty L. Facer

Alexander - Mrs. Betty L. Facer, age 83, of Alexander, a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Batavia, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at the New York State Veteran's Home.

Mrs. Facer was born February 14, 1922 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Huber Callan.

Her husband, Thomas Facer, died June 1, 2005.

Surviving are her children, Cheri (Douglas) Cook of Hamburg, Marcia (David) Huber of Alexander, Gary Facer of Florida, Carol (Bob Dudash) Blood of Rochester and Linda (Mike MacKendrick) Scott of Rochester; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There are no prior calling hours.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. James Episcopal Church, 405 East Main Street.

Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.

Memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 405 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020.

Franklin "Bus" Boldt

Stafford - Mr. Franklin “Bus” Boldt, 83, of Stafford, a farmer in the Byron and Stafford areas, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at United Memorial Medical Center.

Mr. Boldt was born January 3, 1923 in Morganville, a son of the late Frank and Augusta Loss Boldt.

He was a lifetime member of the Byron Fire Department and a former member of the Odd Fellows in Stafford and the Batavia Moose Club.

He was past president of the Stafford Planning Board and a trustee of the Morganville Cemetery Association.

Mr. Boldt was also a part time employee of the Byron Highway Department.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene (Barnard) Boldt, whom he married June 17, 1950, of Stafford; four children, James (Lynette) Boldt of Stafford, Mary Ann (Lee) Blair of Byron, Gene (Annette) Boldt of Stafford and Steven (Crista) Boldt of Stafford; a brother-in-law, Ellsworth Norton of Elba, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

Mr. Boldt is the father of the late Richard C. Boldt and grandfather of the late Evan Carl Boldt.

He is brother of the late Carrie Symonds, Ethel Bater, Frances Norton, Elizabeth Boldt, Alice MacDonald, Marion Boldt and Carl Boldt.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

Burial will be in Morganville Cemetery.

Gilbert W. Blue

Bergen - Gilbert W. Blue, age 81, of Bergen, died Saturday, January 21, 2006, at the New York State Veteran's Home.

Mr. Blue was born December 9, 1924 in Bergen, the son of the late Donald Lee and Mildred J. Ewert Blue.

He was a life long resident of Bergen having grown up on the Locus Tree Farm and later was employed as the Village of Bergen Clerk-Treasurer and Town of Bergen Justice for over 30 years.

He was also a member of the Merrill-Sackett-White Post of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Bergen Rod and Gun Club, Hesperus Lodge Free & Accepted Masons and the Bergen First Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Blue served in the United States Army during World War II with Company E, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Division as a Light Machine Gunner and squad leader. He was honorably discharged and decorated with the Purple Heart Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Medal with 1 bronze battle star, and the American Campaign Medal.

His beloved wife, Jean Lutrell Blue, died in 1992.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (William) Blue Carruthers of Garner, NC and Marsha Joan Blue Hoskins of Bergen; a son, William Gilbert Blue of Florida; four grandchild, Michael Gilbert Hoskins of Bergen, Christina Jane (Chuck) Hoskins Larson of Oakfield, Seth (Erin) Blue Carruthers of N.C and Celeste Kimber Carruthers of Florida; a great-grandchild, Autumn Dey Snell Hoskins of Bergen; two sisters, Mildred Blue Smith of Rochester and Helen Blue of Buffalo; several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Helen Blue, Candace Blue and Elizabeth “Betty” Blue Fisher.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday at H. E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen where services will follow at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Village of Bergen Memorial Park, c/o Village of Bergen, 13 South Lake Street, Bergen, NY 14416.

Mr. Richard Anthony Fabio

Goodyear, Arizona - Richard Anthony Fabio, age 55, of Goodyear, Arizona, formerly of Batavia, an aircraft technician at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, New York, died Friday, January 27, 2006, in Arizona while under Hospice care.

Mr. Fabio was born June 27, 1950 in Batavia, the son of the late Anthony and Ann Nowakowski Fabio.

A graduate of Notre Dame High School, Mr. Fabio was a member and past president of the American Legion Post in Saratoga Springs and worked at Niagara Falls Air National Guard Base prior to transferring to Scotia. He retired after 30 years, moving to Arizona two years ago.

He served with the U.S. Air Force during from 1970-1973.

Mr. Fabio is survived by his wife, Donna Lynn Carpenter Fabio; his daughter, Shannon Smith of Rochester; his son, Jonathan Fabio of New Jersey; two sisters, Sandra Henry and Pamela Fabio, both of Arizona; also surviving are six step-children, eight step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the hospice organization of the donor's choice.

Thomas W. Fisher

Alexander - Mr. Thomas W. Fisher, age 57, a retired lineman for Frontier Telephone in Rochester, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006.

Mr. Fisher was born February 27, 1948 in Batavia, the son of the late Ralph and Norma Fisher.

A veteran, he served with the US Army in Vietnam.

Mr. Fisher was an avid outdoorsman, appreciated the Alexander Fire Department and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy M. Hartrick Fisher, whom he married Dec. 12, 1968; three daughters; Kimberly (Lenny) DeFazio of Kansas, Cheryl (Kurt) Hersee of Batavia and Amanda Fisher of E. Pembroke; a son; Michael Fisher of Kansas; two sisters, Kay (David) Leslie and Debra (Dean) Harris both of Alexander; grandchildren; Naomi and Cody DeFazio of Kansas and Katelyn Hersee of Batavia; a special niece, Christa Oderkirk of Batavia as well as other nieces and nephews and a brother and sister in law, Lynn (Sue) Hartrick of Fairport.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia.

Services will be private.

Memorials may be made to family.

Mrs. Jean M. Dudek

Rochester - Mrs. Jean M. Dudek, 92, of Rochester, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, in Rochester.

Mrs. Dudek was born May 3, 1918 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Wodecki) Koziarski.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Batavia for the past 10 years and loved nature, farming and was a great cook.

Her husband, Stanley F. Dudek, died May 23, 2002.

Survivors include five sons, Stanley (Karen) Dudek of Medina, Dennis (Patricia) Dudek of OR, Gary (Ann) Dudek of Brockport, Lance (Joyce) Dudek of Rochester, and Lesley Dudek of Webster; a daughter, Mary Dudek of Perry; a brother, Richard (Eleanor) Koziarski of Alden, a sister-in-law, Joan Ciulla of Alden; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Edmond Koziarski and Harriett Dillon.

There are no prior calling hours. Friends may attend services at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Batavia.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 8221 Lewiston Road, Batavia, NY 14020 or to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626.

Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.
