Harold Wiliam Neu
Bergen - Mr. Harold William Neu, 84, of Bergen, a stationary engineer at the University of Rochester, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Rochester General Hospital.
Mr. Neu was born April 13, 1927 in Rochester, a son of the late Joseph and Julia (Stack) Neu.
He served with the Army from 1945 to 1947, attended St. Monica's Church in Rochester, was a member of the American Legion Post 474 in Greece and enjoyed fishing and bird watching.
Survivors include six children, Barbara (Paul) Loeb of Webster, Beverly Goff of Greece, William Neu and Debora Smardz, both of Gates, Delores Wilkin of Batavia, and Cheryl (Keith) Merrell of Bergen; a daughter-in-law, Joanne Neu of Penfield; 3 step children, Leannah Grimsley of Scottsville, Richard Tripp, Jr. of Springwater and Catherine Tripp of Spencerport; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late John Neu and brother of the late Albert Neu, Raymond Neu, Charles Neu, Philip Neu, Joseph Neu, Veronica Weins and Dolores Neu.
Friends may call on Monday from 11 to 1 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen where services will follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Rochester NY Chapter, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
Mrs. Claudine Meney
Batavia - Claudine Meney, 95, of Batavia, died Monday, (May 2, 2011) at Crossroads House.
Mrs. Meney was born October 10, 1915 in Rixeyville, VA, a daughter of the late Wesley and Lucy (Hackley) Richards.
A long time member of Calvary Baptist Church, she was proud to have worked at G.T.E. Sylvania for more than 30 years. The church and her family were the true loves of her life.
Surviving are two sons, Tillman Meney and Raymond Meney, both of Rochester; one daughter, Constance Alexander of Batavia; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Meney, Sr.; children, Claudine Virginia Majors and William Meney, Jr.; great-grandson, Matthew Ware; three brothers, William Richards, Matthew Richards, and Walter Richards; and five sisters, Sadie Young, Margaret Moon, Carrie Coleman, Kate Greyson, and her twin sister Dorothy Polip.
There will be no prior calling hours and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, P.O. Box 403, Batavia, New York 14021.
Mrs. Ruth E. Luce
Batavia - Mrs. Ruth E. Luce, of Batavia, passed to spirit Tuesday, (May 17, 2011) at United Memorial Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Luce was born November 11, 1914 in Kennett Square, PA, the daughter of the late Charles L. and Laura A. (Phillips) Yager. She was the step-daughter of the late Martin Nilsen.
Her husband, Donald W. Luce, Sr., passed away October 11, 1984.
She was a loving and caring person who contributed so much to her community, her family, her pets, and to many organizations that she admired. She will be remembered as always having a smile on her face. She was the first woman in real estate in Genesee County, and was one of the founding members of the original Boards and MLS Service.
Survived by two sons, Donald W. Luce, Jr., and Charles A. Luce; two daughters, Judith A. (late W.J.) Murnan, and Marjorie J. (Rick) Dorman; two grandsons, Benjamin and James Heintz; three step grandchildren, Jason, Brian, and Melissa Dorman; two great-grandchildren, Haley and Hanna Heintz. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday (May 23, 2011) at 11:00 a.m. in Grand View Cemetery, Clinton Street, Batavia. Mr. John M. Bonin
Bergen - Mr. John M. Bonin, 54, of Bergen, a Supervisor at Eastman Kodak Co. for over 34 years died unexpectedly on Thursday (June 16, 2011) at Lakeside Memorial Hospital, in Brockport.
Mr. Bonin was born September 6, 1956 in Rochester, a son of the late George and Arlene (Link) Bonin.
John was a member of the Session of the North Bergen Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with his sons watching sports.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie (Ash) Bonin, whom he married October 8, 1983; three sons, Adam, Nicholas, and Benjamin Bonin all of Bergen; a brother, Kenneth (Irene) Bonin of Georgia, VT; a sister, Barbara (Karen Monast) Bonin of Spencerport; a brother-in-law, Daniel (Ann) Ash of Bergen; as well as three nephews, Kyle and Timothy Bonin and Joshua Ash; two nieces, Caroline Bonin and Rachel Ash; an aunt, Mary Ann Hanna; several cousins and friends.
Mr. Bonin is preceded in death by his brother, Rev. David Bonin.

John’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at North Bergen Presbyterian Church, 7068 North Bergen Road, Bergen. Burial will take place in North Byron Cemetery. Maurice E. Boyle Sr.
East Bethany - Mr. Maurice E. Boyle Sr., 64, of East Bethany, died Friday, (May 20, 2011) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Mr. Boyle was born May 14, 1947 in Batavia, the son of the late Emerson Boyle and Lucy (Huloahan) Mouio.
He was a life member of the Stafford Fire Department, the fire police and exempts and was also a member of the VFW Post #1602 and the LeRoy Moose. Mr. Boyle enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting and was a Green Bay Packers fan. He was a heavy equipment operator for the New York State Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Rumsey) Boyle of East Bethany; three children, Michelle (Chris) McEwen, Jason (Kim) Rumsey and Rebecca (Joe Scripp) Rumsey, all of Stafford; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Stephanie and Katlynn Rumsey and Haley and Ashley Scripp; two sisters, Carol (Jim Fryer) Cinquino and Kathy (Gary) Pursel, both of Batavia; two sisters-in-law, Martha (Norman) Digiouanni and Joan (David) Green, both of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mary B. Britton
Batavia - Mrs. Mary B. Britton, 60, of Batavia, a former employee at the Suburban Animal Hospital in Rochester, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Mrs. Britton was born October 23, 1950 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Newman) Britton.
She retired as a NYS Wildlife Rehabber, formerly taught for the American Red Cross and enjoyed softball and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Dean (Jennifer) Brooks of Batavia; two grandchildren, Mickayla Brooks and Spencer Brooks, both of Batavia; and a brother, Brian (Judy) Britton of East Bethany,
She was the sister of the late Donald Britton.

Mary A. DiPiazza
Batavia - Mrs. Mary A. DiPiazza, 99, of Batavia, supervisor at Montgomery Ward in Batavia, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. DiPiazza was born July 11, 1911 in Livonia, a daughter of the late Antonio and Francesca Battaglia Allenza.
A member of St. Joseph's Church, the Mother's Club, the ladies sodality and the outreach program at the church, she was active in her children's activities at St. Joseph's School and Notre Dame High School. She helped with the home school association at Robert Morris School.
She was a volunteer at the former St. Jerome Hospital and the American Lung Association. She helped with many charitable collections and always donated to the needy. Mrs. DiPiazza knitted afghans for residents of the Batavia VA hospital. She was a caretaker for her late husband, Samuel when he became ill. She will be remembered by her family as a dedicated wife, mother, aunt, homemaker and seamstress. She was very dear and involved with her family all her life.
Her husband, Samuel S. DiPiazza, died October 14, 1999.
Survivors include a son, Albert Samuel (Vanessa) DiPiazza of Ocala, Florida; a daughter, Prudence M. DiPiazza of Batavia; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She is the sister of the late Frank (Virginia) Allenza, Nancy (Emil) Chiavetta, Madeline (Sam) Chiavetta and Louise (Joseph) Falco and sister-in-law of the late Mary (Bill) Kane, Carolyn (Stanley) Brewer, Clara (John) Repicci, Albert (Marie) DiPiazza, Frank (Erma) DiPiazza, Esempio DiPiazza, Eugene (Marilyn) DiPiazza and Joseph (Helen) DiPiazza.
Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Prayers at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Batavia.

Rev. Kenneth A. Dodd
Oakfield - Rev. Kenneth A. Dodd, 70, of Oakfield, the Pastor at Indian Falls United Methodist Church, in Corfu, for over 20 years, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at Buffalo General Hospital, in Buffalo.
Rev. Dodd was born March 4, 1941 in Clifton Springs, NY, a son of the late Albert and Bernetta (Romeiser) Dodd.
He was a prominent member of the Western NY broadcasting community for over 25 years formerly owned his own radio station and served as the General Manager of several area radio stations.
He received a Bachelor's Degree from Ithaca College and a Masters from Colgate-Rochester Divinity School. He began his ministry in 1990 and was ordained as an elder in 1996. He was the pastor at Clinton Street Church from 1990-1992, West Barre United Methodist Church from 1992-1996 and Indian Falls United Methodist Church from 1996 to the present. He served on the Orleans County Ministry of Concern and United Methodist District Finance Committee.
He served from 1992 to 2011 with the GCC Board of Trustees and held all of the trustee offices during that time. He received the Marvin A. Rapp Award presented for distinguished trustee service by NYS Community College Trustee Association.
He was the Supervisor for the Town of Oakfield for the past 20 years, Past District Governor of the Lions Club, member of the Oakfield-Alabama Lions Club and founding president of the Oakfield Historical Society. He was an avid collector of "Coke" memorabilia and collector of model trains. He was a past member and EMT with the Oakfield Fire Department.
He is survived by his sister, Paula (Jim) Michalke of Sodus, four children, Narda L. Kennedy of Sloan, Kenneth R. (Lynn) Dodd of MO, David A. Dodd of Oakfield and Erica L. (Sam) Tresmond of W. Seneca; a sister-in-law, Patricia Dodd of Hamlin; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Gary Dodd.
Friends may call on Friday, June 3, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Indian Falls United Methodist Church. Services will be at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
