Beatrice M. Considine
LITTLE FALLS — Mrs. Beatrice M. Considine, age 90 of 31 Lewis St., Little Falls passed away on Friday afternoon, October 11, 2002 at Little Falls Hospital with her family at her side.
Born on December 7, 1911 in Little Falls she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Jessie (Moran) Reals and received her education in Little Falls schools. She was a lifelong Little Falls resident. She was married to the late George Brewer in 1928. She was married to John Considine in 1946 who passed away in 1972. She was last employed in the housekeeping department at Little Falls Hospital and was at one time employed as a dressmaker. She retired in 1985 and was of the Episcopalian Faith. She leaves two beloved daughters, Marlyn Hecox and husband Ward of Little Falls and Nadine Marchese and husband Sam of Little Falls, a brother Robert Reals and wife Ethel of Mohawk, five grandchildren, Cynthia Wilson and husband Jerry of Anandale, VA, Andrea Littlejohn of Fairport, NY, Scott Hecox and wife Kim of Plattsburgh, Gary Marchese and wife Teresa of Clarksville, TN, and Sammy D. Marchese and wife Roxanne of Little Falls., five great grandchildren, Jessie Wilson, Meghan Hecox, Caitlyn Hecox and Samantha and Cassandr Marchese. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her sister, Edna Spraker and brother, Leland Reals preceded her in death.
Funeral service commenced at 12 o'clock this afternoon from the chapel of the Enea Funeral Home, Little Falls with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, pastor of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment took place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls. Relatives and friends payed their respect's at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8. In remembering Beatrice, kindly consider donations to the Little Falls Hospital Development Fund or to the Little Falls Public Library, envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of the Little Falls Hospital for their thoughtfulness and care during this difficult time, especially mentioning the staff in the emergency room and Dr. Perlansky. Gladys Anderson Burrows Kruger
SOMERS, N.Y. — Gladys Anderson Burrows Kruger died from complications due to Alzheimer's Disease on Oct. 10, 2002, at Somers Manor in Somers, New York. She was born in New York, N. Y. on May 20, 1920, the daughter of Lyda (McGowan) and Hawley Anderson. After her graduation from Northfield School for Girls in 1937, she attended and graduated from Syracuse University where she majored in history, received her teaching certificate, and was a member of Kappa Sigma sorority. She was married to Ralph W. Burrows on Feb. 13, 1941. She served for over 50 years as a director of the board of Burrows Paper Corporation, including the position of corporate secretary. She is survived by her second husband; a son, Ralph W. Burrows of Little Falls; two daughters, Margaret B. Martin of Somers and Judith B. Csatari of Hanover, N.H.; two step-children, Andries Kruger of Pretoria, South Africa, and Jacqueline Hutchinson of Horsham, England. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Hooker. Interment will be held at the Church Street Cemetery in Little Falls at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann St., Little Falls. Charles H. Keyser
STRATFORD — Mr. Charles H. Keyser, 80, a resident of the St. Johnsville Nursing Home, and formerly of the Emmonsburg Road, Stratford, died Thursday, December 5, 2002, in Little Falls Hospital. Charles was born on July 16, 1922, in the town of Danube, the son of Willard and Anna (Haberman) Keyser and was educated in rural schools. His marriage to Helen M. Tiedman took place on December 22, 1956, in the Methodist Church in Dolgeville. Surviving him is his wife, Helen; his sons, Charles D. Keyser of Fort Plain and Patrick J. Keyser of Stratford; a daughter, Linda Gee of Little Falls; his brothers, Frank Keyser of Dolgeville, Robert Keyser of Salisbury and Carl Keyser of Georgia; two sisters, Ruth and Margaret; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacy and Elaine; and his great grandchildren, Ashley, Mariah, Dylan and Christopher. Graveside services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mils. Calling hours for family and friends are today from 4-6 p.m. at the Roberts-Buck Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville.

Richard G. 'Dick' Howe
LITTLE FALLS — Mr. Richard G. "Dick" Howe, age 58, of 5 Court St., Little Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday evening, December 2, 2002, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Howe was born on September 2, 1944, in Little Falls, a son of the late Soloman and Grace (Harrod) Howe and received his education in Little Falls schools. He entered into military service and served our country in the Vietnam War. He was last employed with Remington Arms in Ilion for 25 years of loyal service. Dick was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Mildred Warner on August 13, 1968, in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls, a union of 34 years.
He leaves behind his beloved family including his loving wife, Mildred, of the home address; his mother, Grace Howe of Little Falls; a daughter, Tara Howe of Little Falls; a son, Brad Howe of Little Falls; a sister, JoAnne Beischer and husband William of Ithaca; and a grandson, Nathan Miller of Little Falls and his father, David Miller. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends in the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Wednesday evening, December 4, from 5-8 p.m.
Dick's funeral service will be conducted Thursday afternoon, December 5, at 2 p.m. from the Dennison Corners Community Church, Mohawk, with Rev. Robert Andreas, pastor, officiating. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held privately at the family's convenience. Stanley D. Nichols Sr.
LITTLE FALLS — Stanley D. Nichols Sr., 75, of 492 W. Main St., Little Falls, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, where he had been a patient since Nov. 13, 2002. He was born on January 27, 1927, in the town of Salisbury, son of the late Dwight and Catherine (Cardle) Nichols. He was educated in Stratford schools. He was united in marriage to his wife of 53 years, the former Edna Loucks, on January 13, 1948, at the United Methodist Church Parsonage, Dolgeville. Mrs. Nichols predeceased him on February 11, 2001. Mr. Nichols was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army, entering the service on July 10, 1945 in Albany. He served as a medical technician at the  White Sands Proving Grounds, New Mexico. He was honorably discharged as a technician 5th grade on December 1, 1946 at Fort Bliss,  Texas. He is survived by two sons, Richard S. Nichols and his wife Sheila of Fort Plain and Stanley D. Nichols Jr. and Colleen Lynch of Little Falls; a brother, Norman Nichols of Little Falls; five grandchildren, Penny Sorel, Richard A. Nichols, Robert N. Nichols, Tanya Towne, and Corie J. Nichols; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Courtina, Dalton, Jacob, and Dusty Nichols, Ricky Sorel, and Derrell Diffin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Roger A. Nichols, who died in 1955 and Robert N. Nichols, who died on March 22, 2001; a sister, Edna Perkins, who died in 1971; and a granddaughter, Catherine Mae Nichols, who died in 1975. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, at 10 a.m. from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann St., Little Falls, with Mr. Ronald Perkins of Michigan, nephew of Mr. Nichols, officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 3, from 5-8 p.m. and to attend funeral services Wednesday morning. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Nichols be considered to the charity of one's choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home for this purpose.

Linda A. Carter
CASSVILLE — Linda A. Carter, 55, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2003. Her loving family was by her side at the time of her passing. Linda was born in Little Falls on March 26, 1947, the daughter of Helen and the late Thomas Feane. She was educated in Dolgeville schools and earned her GED in 1982. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 22 years, Lee Edelblute of Cassville; her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Louis Kaye of Ronkonkoma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Tracy Carter of Rochester and John and Joanne Carter of Rome; seven grandchildren, Thomas and Allison Kaye, Patrick, Emily and Michael Carter and Christopher and Matthew Carter; her mother, Helen Feane of Dolgeville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Iris and George Puccine of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sharon Wheeler and Ed Brown of Dolgeville and Pam and Roger Volgstadt of San Jose, California; two sisters-in-law, Laura and Mike Bader of Sauquoit and Lois and Jim Mason of Narragasett, Rhode Island; nieces, Maria Bill, Erica Olsen, Rebecca Volgstadt and Bridget Jones; nephews, Michael and Mark Puccine, Joshua Volgstadt, Christopher Bader and Kevin Mason and her special friend, Mary Lou Perkins of Utica. Linda's family will be receiving visitors Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the J. Donald Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St., Sauquoit. George I. Sennett
HERKIMER — George I. Sennett, 87, of 308 Steuben St., entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 8, 2003, at Valley Health Services in Herkimer.
He was born March 23, 1915, in Herkimer, son of the late Alfred and Alice (Greeler) Sennett and attended Mohawk schools. On October 21, 1936, he married Mary D. Nardelli. They were blessed to be married 66 years this past October.
In 1944 he volunteered to serve our country that he so dearly loved. During his years of service, he uniquely served in the Army, its air corps and the tank command. While serving in Okinawa, he achieved the rank of sergeant prior to his honorable discharge.
George worked in the area for such notables as Standard Desk and the Library Bureau as a belt sander and retired from Univac as a class A finishing polisher. During the following 14½ years after his retirement he was a familiar and friendly face to the students and faculty of Herkimer County Community College as he performed many duties before he retired again at the age of 82.
His love for his country was also mirrored in his pride of his community. Along with Harry Enea Sr. and the Cumm brothers, he was instrumental in starting the first Veteran of Foreign Wars club in the old box factory on North Main Street, Herkimer. He also was the catalyst for procuring the old Tuger School for the housing of the current Herkimer Senior Citizen Center. He was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer.
He spent a lifetime traveling to be with his family, where he was the happiest, especially when surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
George was predeceased by Vincent Robert, his infant son, and is survived by his wife Mary, along with his two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgiann and Alfred Calafrancesco of Gloversville and Gloria Jean and John Lasher of Warren, Pa. He was blessed with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Joanna Lasher, daughter of Gloria and John; David and Susan Calafrancesco and their children Adam and Nicole of Rhinebeck; Debra and Peter Davis and their two children, Alayna and Gabrielle of Syracuse, Dianna and Stan Stratton of Chatam, N.J., and Denise Calafrancesco of Port Hueneme,  Calif.
George was an only child that quickly adopted his wife's family as his own. Many family gatherings were shared with Joseph and Pasqualina Nardelle Nardelli, John and Palma Licari, Minnie Fedele, Antoinette and Peter DiNegro and Roccina and Robert Delaney, Auriella and Ted Filipski.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 11, from 4-8 p.m. at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N.  Washington St., Herkimer.
George's funeral service will begin from the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday morning, February 12, where prayer will be offered and at 9:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. from St. Francis de Sales Church, Bellinger Street, Herkimer, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham, pastor. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the George Sennett Scholarship Fund at Herkimer County Community College or to the St. Francis de Sales Building Fund. Envelopes may be obtained at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home of Herkimer. George will be laid to rest this spring with full military honors in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer.
George's family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the nurses and staff of Valley Health Services, Herkimer, for all the wonderful care and kindness shown to George during his illness. The Village of Herkimer Senior Citizens will gather at 4 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday to conduct their prayer service. The Herkimer Michael S. Pliseck VFW Post #4915 will gather at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Tuesday to conduct ritualistic services.

Rose (Kling) Oliver
LITTLE FALLS — Rose (Kling) Oliver, 92, a long time Little Falls resident, passed away on Friday February 7, 2003, at Van Allen Nursing Home.
She was born May 28, 1910, in Pasaic, NJ, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Fiel) Kling. Rose was educated in German schools and St. Mary's Academy.
Her marriage to John J. Oliver Sr. took place on December 13, 1925, at St. Mary's Church in Little Falls with Father E. A. O'Connor officiating. Mr. Oliver passed away on May 9, 1985.
Mrs. Oliver was last employed at Church Street School and Benton Hall Academy, having worked in the food service department.
Rose was a member of the Holy Family Parish.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Dr. Michael Oliver and wife Dr. Corinee Yee, Joyce Oliver and husband Kevin Whitaker, Rosemary Durkee and husband Harry, Janice Gorinshek and husband Mark, John Oliver III and Tess, Susan Oliver and Barbara Strong and husband David; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Sam (Betty) Jantosciak of Syracuse; a daughter-in-law, Helyn Oliver and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by two sons, Thomas (Tex) and John J. Oliver Jr.; one brother, Joseph Kling; and one sister, Lannie Waterman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10, at 10:30 a.m. from the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls and at 11 a.m. from the Holy Family Parish, corner of Main and John streets, with Reverend Charles Celeste, pastor, celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment will take place at Church Street Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services. All memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
