LaValley, Oscar E. : HURON: Age 66, of Resort Rd., died Sunday, June 11, 2000 at ViaHealth of Wayne, Newark Campus. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Doris (Young); children, Oscar Jon (Vickie) of North Rose, Linda (C. J. ) Kirker of North Rose, Gregory (Vicki) of Wolcott, Brian (Cathy) of Rose, Laurie LaValley of North Rose; daughter-in-law, Clara LaValley of Wolcott; 12 grandchildren; 3 brothers, James (Sandra) of TX, Frank (Carol) of Wolcott, David (Jane) of North Rose; 3 sisters, Mildred (John) Young of Wolcott, Shirley (James) Correll of FL, Debra (Michael) Mendat of North Rose. Predeceased by sister, Sylvia and brother, Larry.
Oscar was born in the town of Huron on July 26, 1933, a son to Oscar J. and Mildred Haggerty LaValley. As a lifetime area resident, he was a member of Wolcott American Legion Post 881, former Boy Scout Leader, trustee at First Baptist Church in Wolcott, and a past chairman of the Town of Huron Zoning Board of Appeals. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean Conflict, and was employed and retired from RG&E as a field engineer in the Lakeshore District.
Please make contributions to First Baptist Church of Wolcott or to the North Rose Wolcott Scouts in his memory. Calling hours on Tuesday (June 13) from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, Main St., North Rose. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (June 14) at 2 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Huron Evergreen Cemetery.

Survived by sons, Edward (Lori), James, Andrew; daughters, Barbara (Harold) Babcock, Joan (Phil) Wake, Sandra (Donald) Hinman; brother, John (Helen) Green; sisters, Velma Jerles, Frances Miesner, Gladys Mannley, Mary Fisher; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Avenue, Albion, TUESDAY 2-4 7-9 where Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY at 11 AM. Interment in Millville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans County.

Hagedorn, Mary (Boyko): SPENCERPORT: Friday, June 2, 2000. She was predeceased by her son, Larry Boyko. She is survived by her sister, Joan (John) Muszak of Spencerport; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Boyko of Holley, NY; 2 grandchildren, Dennis and Melissa; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Neary; 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy J. (Gayle) Neary of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Patrick J. Neary of Pittsford and Terrence "Rip" Neary of Canandaigua; 2 grandsons, Edward A. (Susan) Neary of Palm Bay, FL & Michael Crudele of Canandaigua; 2 granddaughters, Katherine Neary of Palm Bay, FL & Katherine Crudele of Canandaigua; and a great-granddaughter, Melissa Rose Neary. Betty was a member of the American Legion Rayson-Miller Post #899 Ladies Auxiliary, the Pittsford Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, the St. Mary's Hospital Seton Group and was a nurse at St. Louis School for many years.

Sodoma, John Walter: SILVERHILL, NC: John Walter Sodoma, 74, died Friday at his home. He was a retired farmer and member of the Vandemere United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Brockport Elks, and was active in farm operations and organizations. He had also been a supervisor for the town of Sweden, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Ford Sodoma; three sons, Kyle Sodoma and his wife Camille of Alliance, NC, Paul Sodoma and his wife, Kathleen of Geldsboro, NC, Daniel Sodoma of Bayboro, NC; one daughter, Andrea S. Lischer and her husband, Michael of Elma, NY; one brother, Robert Sodoma of Brockport, NY; and 12 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the Vandemere United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Mike Roach officiating.
