Witmeyer, Shirley Davis: Shirley Davis Witmeyer, daughter of Madison Dana & Fern Patterson Chapman, passed away on June 7th, 2000 at Alterra Clare Bridge in Pittsford. She is survived by her 2nd husband, Forrest H. Witmeyer previously of Syracuse; & her daughter, Gail Nealon of Rochester; her son, Edmund C. Davys of New York City; her sisters, Janet Weiss and Eileen Stewart; & her grandchildren, Joyce Nealon & Liem & Colm Davis.
A graduate of Russell Sage College in 1940, she taught at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Her deceased husband, Robert C. Davis, was a Foreign Service Officer & they served at Embassies In London, Brussels, Moscow and Ottawa before his retirement to Francestown, N. H., before he passed away. While there, she was active in the Community Church and a number of community affairs.
In 1985, she married Mr. Witmeyer & relocated to Syracuse, N. Y. where she was a member of the University United Methodist Church, the Gertrude Brown Guild and the P. E. O. Sisterhood. She was a talented amateur pianist and visual artist. After moving to Rochester in 1995 she & her husband became members of Asbury First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested that contributions be mailed to: Sunset House, (3746 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, N. Y. 14617), a hospice founded by Mrs. Witmeyer's daughter Gail, in memory of Shirley's granddaughter Jennifer Nealon.
A private service for family and friends will be held in Rochester at the Crawford Funeral Home, followed by a service in Syracuse at 2 PM on Monday, June 19th at the Greenleaf Funeral Home, 503 Onondaga St., Syracuse, NY.

Zachary, Eva R. : Returned to her heavenly home on June 9, 2000. She is survived by her brother, Wilson; a sister, Maryann; sisters-in-law, Madeline and Mary Lou; nieces and nephews, Geraldine Rittersbach, George Faris, Barbara Shapiro, Bill Zachary, Bonnie Curran and Robert Zachary; several grand-nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Thurston Funeral Home, 1075 LONG POND ROAD (north of Maiden Lane) Monday 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10 AM St. Monica's Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Masses will be welcome for the repose of her soul.

The family is not observing calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 W. Ave., Albion. Interment at the convenience of the family. Memorials to C. O. V. A. or the charity of one's choice.

Straub, Ruth Rebman: BLOOMFIELD: Services were held Saturday for Ruth Rebman Straub, 82, who died Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at the Clifton Springs Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (James) Buck; her son, Roger (Lucy) Straub; her sisters, Elizabeth Ford, Florence Lewis and Margaret Snoddy; a sister-in-law, Barbara Rebman; a brother-in-law, Everett Lewis; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the East Bloomfield-Holcomb Volunteer Ambulance. Arrangements by the Kennedy & Son Funeral Home, East Bloomfield.

Predeceased by his daughter, Nancy E. (Curry) Gasper in 1991.

Main St. Canandaigua from where a Prayer Service will be held Mon. 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Hubbard, Shirley O'Brien: Age 78, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2000 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Samuel T. Hubbard; son, Gene F. Drake; daughter, Katherine Cody Jones; son-in-law, Ross Jones; her husband's children, Frances Schenck, Samuel T. (Tom) Hubbard, Jr., George T. Hubbard; and her ten loving grandchildren, Marnie, Peter, Katie, Brennon, Lauren, George, Kasey, Allison, Ted, and Libby. She was a native of Winnetka, Illinois and resided in Shaker Heights, Ohio for many years, as well as Delray Beach, Florida and Naples, New York.
A memorial service will be held in Delray Beach, Florida in November. Interment will be in Winnetka, Illinois at the family's convenience. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA) 2700 Chestnut St., Chester, Pennsylvania, 19013.

Albrecht, Elizabeth Ann: LYONS: Age 41, died suddenly Friday, June 9, 2000 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Surviving are fiance, Stephen and Courtney DeNeef of Lyons; parents, Howard and Barbara (Fox) Albrecht of Lyons; 3 brothers, Howard, Jr. (Lisa) of Lyons, Scott (Marianne) of Lyons, Todd (Kelly) of Auburn; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Devan, Hallie, Tyler and Sydney; many, many good friends. For those wishing, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in her memory. Predeceased by her sister, Terri in 1986.
Beth Ann was born in Lyons on August 21, 1958, a daughter to Howard and Barbara Fox Albrecht. She was a 1976 graduate of Lyons High School and was employed at the Wayne County Department of Social Services as a Senior Account Clerk for 11 years.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Monday (June 12) and Tuesday (June 13) from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (June 14) at 10am in the St. Michael's Church, Phelps St., Lyons with Rev. William Barrett officiating. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.

Gargara, Flora: LYONS: Age 80, of Mirick St., a resident of the DeMay Living Center, died Saturday, June 10, 2000. Miss Gargara was born in Lyons on April 24, 1920, a daughter to Dominick and Grace Cipriano Gargaro and lived in the area all her life. Surviving are her sister, Venice Biviano of Lyons; nephew, Michael Passalacqua of OH; niece Angela Muller of FL; along with other distant nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 13 at 9:30 AM in the St. Michael's Church, Phelps St., Lyons with Rev. William Barrett officiating. burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Arr: by Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, Lyons.

Cruz, Maria E. : June 10, 2000. Survived by her husband, Pascual; sons, Pablo Cruz, Joseph (Glenda) Burdier; daughters, Lillian (Peter) Gonzalez, Minerva Cruz, Sylvia (Angel) Bonarricco, Wanda (Herbert) Negron; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
