Outermans, Elbert J. : May 6, 2000 at age 85. Son of Morag and Elbert F. Outermans, beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty"; father of Mary Beth and Laurie; brother-in-law of Anne Murray and George Mutch. Elbert was a veteran of WWII having served proudly with the 28th Special Construction Battalion in the Philippines. He was a Planning Engineer with Eastman Kodak Company before retiring to pursue his love of family, friends, golf and bowling. Elbert was a life member of Masons and a long time member of Legion Post 468. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years as an Eagle Scout, Scout Master and committee member. He was a graceful, strong man who gave his very best for his family, country and friends. He lived a full, rich life and he did it his way. We will miss your smile, sense of humor, love and caring.
Service and Interment private. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Boy Scouts of America in his memory. Reference: Miller Funeral Home Inc.

Barker, Charles J. : At age 88, a long time resident of Pittsford died at Fairport Baptist Homes on Mon., Feb. 28, 2000. Born in Beckenham, Kent, England, he came to NY soon after birth and resided in Pittsford for 82 years. He graduated from Mechanics Institute (now RIT) with a degree in engineering at age 19. A life long railroading enthusiast, he was involved in the construction of the NYC Subway System. Thereafter he was an estimating engineer for General Railway Signal Co. in Rochester until his retirement. A 77 year member, and also a trustee, Mr. Barker was instrumental in fund raising for the building of the United Church of Pittsford. He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Florence Watkins Barker. He is survived by 3 daughters, Alice (William) Joyce of Basking Ridge, NJ, Frances Dawson of Farmington and Elizabeth (Richard) Davis of Fairport; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday, March 4th from 2-5pm at ZORNOW-HEDGES FUNERAL HOME, 21 Lincoln Ave., Pittsford. A Memorial Service will be held at the United Church of Pittsford Sun. at 1pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the United Church of Pittsford.

J. ) Morano, Joseph (Julie) Miranda, Jr., Lisa Miranda, and Angela (Michael) Roche; granddaughter of Marie Carroll; daughter-in-law of Vernon & Shirley Coon.
Friends received on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Curtin Funeral Home, Inc., 1340 Union Road, West Seneca where funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and from Queen of Heaven Church at 9 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined. El Kodsi, Zaki: Age 76 of Easton, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000 at the Center for Optimum Care in West Hartford, CT. Mr. El Kodsi was born in Cairo, Egypt, son of the late Morad and Flora (Massouda) El Kodsi and was a former Chemistry teacher for 20 years at Stamford High School. He was a member of Congregation B'Nai Torah of Trumbull. Mr. El Kodsi was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn (Fleisher) El Kodsi in 1998, and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Elkodsi of Trumbull, his brothers, Joseph Kodsi of Charlotte, NC, Alain Elkodsi of Paris, France; his sister, Nelly Yousseff of Cairo, Egypt; his grandchildren, Phillip and Jacqueline; several nieces and nephews.
Services took place Wed. (3/1) from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Rd., Fairfield with interment following at B'Nai Torah Cemetery on Reid St. in Fairfield, CT.

Mr. Geyer was a Veteran of WWII and retiree of NCR and member of Gleason Golf League.
