WEBSTER: April 20, 2008, at age 62. Roy passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and close friends after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia; sons, Michael (Rachel and granddaughter, Ashley), Brian Rasch, David (fianc Caroline) Rasch; mother, Leona Alexander; sister, Nancy (Ted) Trainer. Predeceased by his father, Roy Cheffins and stepfather, Lorne Alexander. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Donald (Judy) Benham; sisters-in-law, Beverly Bedore, Joanne Marcello and Janet (Nadir) Mincher; several aunts, uncles, cousins and niece, Chris (Bill) Sheldon; many dear friends including Roger and Jeanette Thompson. Roy graduated from Monroe High School and later RIT after serving in the US Army from 1966 to 1972 where he received honors. He was a former volunteer EMT with Union Hill Fire Department and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He worked at Xerox Corporation for 38 years. Roy was an avid chef, which was thoroughly enjoyed by friends and family. Other interests included reading, photography, the outdoors and travel. Roy was a loving and honorable man and he will be deeply missed.
Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, May 3rd, 12:30 PM in the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford. BRIGHTON: Peacefully, October 31, 2009 at home. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Julia Griswold; siblings Charles, Elizabeth and Thomas. She is survived by her daughters Terri Claffey of Arlington VA and Linda (Albert) Davis of Rochester; grandchildren Joshua (Heather) Machanoff, Christopher Machanoff, Katherine and Sarah Claffey; sisters-in-law Emma Griswold and Marian Griswold; nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was loved and treasured by her family and friends, as she in turn loved them.

ROCHESTER: November 6, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, Henry H. Vayo II; children, Marie (Mark) Vayo-Greenbaum of DE, Carolann (Eric) Vayo-Smith of OH, Perry G.(Tiersa Dennis) Vayo II of Rochester, Lorraine (Bill) Stovall of VA; grandchildren, Aaron and Celeste Greenbaum, Jake and Christina Vayo-Smith, Emma, Bes, and Brack Stovall; brother Stewart Moore of VA; many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a 1948 graduate of the Newhouse School of Journalism at Syracuse University; she enjoyed a career in Public Relations for a variety of organizations including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Allendale/Columbia School. She volunteered with the Women’s Council of the Rochester Museum and Science Center, the Stone Tolan House, the Landmark Society, and Foodlink. Barbara was an avid birder and conservationist.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 28th, at 11:30 AM in the chapel at Third Presbyterian Church, 4 Meigs Street, with a reception to follow. Al was a player-coach in the NBA and inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985. For 25 years, the Al Cervi Basketball Camp was well known in the region.
