Pittsford: Died peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2009 after a 3-year battle with brain cancer. A Rochester native, Mike has made many contributions to the lives of his family, friends, colleagues and those impacted by his community and professional accomplishments.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Jean, children Michele Frey, Kathryn Hinds and John Morley, grandchildren Mia Morley, Michael Hinds and Anna Frey, and several brothers and sisters.
He retired after 40 years at Eastman Kodak Company and served as Chairman of the Board for his alma mater, RIT and on the Board for Rochester General Hospital among other organizations. He is a long-time member of Locust Hill Country Club.
Friends may call Monday, November 23 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, Main Street, Pittsford, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the RIT Michael P. Morley Endowed Scholarship, 116 Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester, NY 14623.

He is survived by his daughters, Melanie Norton (Jim) Cullingworth of Spencerport, NY and Shelley Norton (Carlos B.) Icaza of Boston, MA; stepson, Phillip (Sara) Swift of OH; stepdaughter, Sarah Hamilton Swift Hill of PA; grandchildren, Erinn Cullingworth (Sean) Rist; Elizabeth Icaza; Samantha and Ariel Swift; Page and Logan Hill; and sister, Joan E. Miller of NJ.
Born in Chicago IL, Wayne was a University of Rochester graduate (Class of 1941) with a degree in Optics and Physics. He was employed by Optical Gaging Products and Eastman Kodak Co. where he helped create corporate measurement and records management standards. Continuously active in the Rochester community, he supported many local arts and cultural organizations, the University of Rochester, DKE fraternity, and Third Presbyterian Church. Wayne was an avid skier, sailor, choir member, and woodworker.

Donald retired from Bausch & Lomb and Xerox Corp. He served in the Army during WWII. The family would like to thank the staff at Pines of Peace in Ontario for their kindness and care. Predeceased by sister, Mary Wood.
Sharon graduated from Nazareth College and earned a Masters of Fine Art from RIT. Sharon was a local artist and was very active in the local art community.
Friends may call Sunday, December 27th 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 28th 10:30 AM at Church of the Transfiguration, 50 W. Pittsford: December 16, 2009, peacefully at the age of 88. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Jake; daughter, Deeanne Bevin; son, David Johnson; grandchildren, Dayna, Seth, Jacob & Sophia; and great grand babies Noelani, Erin and Lucy.
Virginia was a member of Mendon Church and as a deacon was always available to others for help and comfort. Whether holding sick babies at Rochester Maternal and Adoption Service or attending to the terminally ill at Isaiah House, she was well known for spreading the words, I love you. Like her favorite flower, the daisy, she wassimply delightful!
May she be greeted by her devoted son, Gregg, as well as other loved ones gone before her.
A Celebration of Ginnies life and her 67 years of marriage with Jake, will be held at 2:00 PM on December 30th at Westminster Hall and Chapel, 3886 Rush Mendon Rd., Mendon NY (formerly Mendon Presbyterian Church). Adams, Catharine Baker (Kitty) Pittsford: Passed away peacefully on December 22, 2009 at age 81. Predeceased by her beloved husband, O. Ross Adams; parents, David and Catharine Baker and brothers, David B. Baker, Jr. and William G. Baker, III. She is survived by her children, Kitty (Pat) Murphy, Ross (Missy) Adams and Caroline (Moby) Burton; five grandsons, Nick and Tyler Kurlas, Philip and Whitman Adams and Colby Murphy; One great-granddaughter, Annabelle Hart Burton; as well as nephew, David B. Baker, III; niece, Nina Baker Neal; sister-in-law, Eleanor Baker Cadwalader; many dear friends; and wonderful caregivers. Kitty was an enthusiastic athlete. She was an All-American lacrosse goalie on the US Women’s Team that played against the All-England team in 1949, managing over 50 saves in a single game. She enjoyed tennis, platform tennis, horseback riding, golf, duck hunting and sailing. In addition to being a lifelong volunteer who lent her time and effort to the Red Cross, the Junior League, the “Gray Lady” program at State Hospital and the Chatterbox Club, Kitty was also instrumental in the formation of the Conservative Party. In the early 1980’s she immersed herself in computer programming, learning DOS, so that she could “make numbers speak.” She was a self-taught investor, who worked hard to pass on that knowledge to each of her children and grandchildren. She also created opportunities for her grandchildren to enjoy vacations together so that they would always feel closely connected. She was a lifelong animal lover. Kitty was a member of the Country Club of Rochester for 61 years, Chatterbox Club and Christ Church of Pittsford. Friends may call Monday, January 4, 2010, 3:30-6 PM at the Anthony Funeral Chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). Friends are invited to bring a written memory or photo for the family’s Memory Book. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2010, 10:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 36 South Main St. Pittsford, NY, 14534 followed by a reception. Survived by her daughter, Mary (Stan) Widger of Rochester, grandchildren, William Widger of Los Angeles, CA and Emily Widger of Baltimore, MD, step-daughter-in-law, Diane Banks of Nashville, TN, step-grandchildren, Gaia Banks of Frankfort, Germany, Amanda Banks of Sacramento, CA, Carrie Teaford of Nashville, TN, Hosanna Banks of Nashville, TN, Clare Reichert of Baltimore, MD, six step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was born in London, England, in 1920 and moved to New Jersey at age 5. She grew up in Glen Rock and graduated from Ridgewood High School. She graduated from Skidmore College in 1941 and worked in Manhattan for AT&T and the J. Walter Thompson Agency during World War II. In 1945, she married Reino W. Fillback and moved to Louisville, KY in 1952. Following Mr. Fillbacks death, she married H. Fred Banks and remained in Louisville until moving to Rochester in 2002 to live at Valley Manor Apartments. A devoted wife, mother, friend and community volunteer, she also worked as a real estate agent and representative for Community Concerts. Helen loved to travel throughout the United States and the world.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staffs of the Wilmot Cancer Center and the Palliative Care Center of the University of Rochester Medical Center, together with the staff of Lifetime Hospice of Rochester. The family is especially grateful for the loving care provided by Paula, Toni, Tiffany, Judy and Sandy.
No calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Valley Manor, 1570 East Avenue, Rochester. Interment will take place at a later date in Louisville. Those wishing to do so may make a contribution in Helens memory to a charity of their choice.
