Brighton: December 6, 2009 at age 96. Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, W. Bayard McCoy and her parents, the late Joseph Allen Farley and Rachel Wheeler Farley of Rochester. She is survived by her son, William B. McCoy, Jr. of Rochester; daughter, Ann M. Cashell and son-in-law, Douglas H. Cashell of Lubbock, TX; brother, Joseph Farley of Hamilton, MT; special niece, Gwyneth J. Shaw and husband Bernard H. Shaw; very wonderful great nieces and nephews, and four great-great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McCoy belonged to the Chatterbox Club, Genesee Valley Club and The Country Club of Rochester, the Rochester Garden Club and the Rochester Female Charitable Society. She was a long-standing worshipper at St. Pauls Episcopal Church. Mrs. McCoy was a supporter of many Rochester charities; she was a patron of the arts and enjoyed both music and theater.
Her family wishes to thank her very special friends for being so good and caring to her; it meant so much.
No calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday December 12th at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 25 Westminster Rd. (at East Ave.) The family requests no flowers; memorial donations may be directed to St. Pauls Church (Rochester, NY 14607), the Rochester General Hospital Association, 1425 Portland Ave. Rochester, NY 14621 or to a charity of choice.

Smith, Marie Rita Lesswing
PITTSFORD: Passed from this life on December 22, 2009 surrounded by her six children. Prayers were answered as Marie took her final breath free from suffering at The Highlands in Pittsford, NY at the age of 94. In 1933, Marie Lesswing met Ferdinand Smith Jr., (Fred) of Hartford, Connecticut while working at The W.T. Grant Company in Buffalo. Marie and Ferdinand were married for 40 years before Ferdinands death. The loving mother of six, grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 19, was born in Buffalo, NY on February 28, 1915 the 9th of 11 children. After completing business school, Marie enjoyed a long, gratifying and impressive professional career. Mrs. Smith was instrumental in creating and managing the very first Xerographic Copy Centers across the United States. In the mid seventies, Mrs. Smith joined her sons as Comptroller of Jay Advertising and helped grow it to one of the largest retail advertising agencies in the U.S. At the age of 90 she announced, I think it is time to retire.
Marie is survived by her three daughters and their spouses; Paula Smith Howk and Frederick Todd Howk (Ted) of Pittsford, Margaret Smith Hughes and Frederick Dalton (Fred) Hughes of Sarasota, FL and Skaneateles, NY, Jane Smith Kelly and Charles Joseph Napravnik of Atlanta, GA; three sons and their spouses; Ferdinand Joseph Smith, III and Elaine Eggleston Smith of Rochester, NY and Scottsdale, AZ, Gregory Ward Smith and Shari Hall Smith of Rochester, NY, Guy Stephen Smith and Isabel Beckett Smith of Pittsford, NY; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Ronas; sister-in-law, Frances (Thomas) Lesswing; brother-in-law, Francis Smith; nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call Monday, December, 28th, 2-4, 7-9 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.) A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, 11 AM at St. Louis Church, 60 S. Main St., Pittsford. She will be buried at White Haven Memorial Park along side her husband. Special thank you to her friends and the caring staff at the Highlands at Pittsford. BRIGHTON: Suddenly on December 19, 2009. Predeceased by her husband, Carl Nitze. Loving mother of daughters, Ann (William) LaForte, Elizabeth (Dr. David) Clark of SC, Sara (Stephen) Fritch of CA; grandchildren, Kelley Nelson of MN, James Winchester of CA; brother, Webb (Mary) Abbott of CT; several nieces and nephews in Baltimore.
Ann was a devoted wife to Carl and a loving mother to her children. She so enjoyed life, with a smile and a laugh. Ann enjoyed her many years playing tennis at the Genesee Valley Club and her lunches at the Chatterbox. Her love of animals was so evident, especially with her Scotties and her loving dog Fleur who was with her when she passed away. Ann spent care free and sun filled summers in Cape May, NJ with her family and many friends. We all will miss her dearly, but we will remember the joy she brought to our lives.

Pittsford: Died peacefully on December 15, 2009 at the age of 91. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Richard H. Eisenhart, her four children, Richard Jr. (Tina) of Indian Wells, CA, Deborah Maggs (Robert) of Haverford, PA, Susan Alexander of Haverford, PA, Douglas (Gillian) of Natick, MA, eight grandchildren: Ashley Eisenhart Kolbe (David),Amanda Eisenhart, Emily Maggs Orben (Bradford), Sarah Maggs Riley (Brendon), Douglas Alexander (Daisy Bassen), Timothy Alexander (Mari), Anne Eisenhart, Henry Eisenhart, and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Stuart and brother, Arthur H. Cotins and predeceased by her sister Ruth Branch.
She was the eldest of four children, born on October 19, 1918 in Utica, NY. She graduated from New Hartford High School in 1935 at the age of 16 and entered Mt. Holyoke College that same year. Graduating in 1939, she went on to become an alumna trustee of the college for several years.While at college she met her future husband at an Amherst student dance where it was proper to cut in on someone with whom she was acquainted. They were married on April 11, 1942 and lived in Rochester their entire married life. She quickly became a leader in the community as well as being a devoted wife and mother to four children. As a mother she always provided encouragement and imparted sound wisdom to her children. She was the treasurer of the Junior League of Rochester, President of the Genesee Hospital Womens Auxiliary, and President of the Chatterbox Club. She was also a member of the Womens Council of the RMSC, RIT Womens Council, Rochester Garden Club, Evergreen Twig, Hillside Childrens Center Board, Oratorio Society, Bach Festival Choir, Third Church choir and deacon. Ginnie possessed a fulfilling faith and was a lifelong member of Third Presbyterian Church. Her love of music led her to a role in the Junior League Follies and other musical revues. It was her ability to play the piano by ear that provided many loving and memorable Christmas Eve family gatherings. She loved to read and was ever the gracious hostess, entertaining a wide circle of friends. Throughout her life she reached out to children and it was her grandchildren who brought her great happiness including picnics at their home on Buckland Avenue and games of charades after Christmas dinner. She counted each great grandchild as a special blessing. As recently as this past October, she played the piano for some of her great grandchildren as they watched and listened.
Friends may call Thursday, 2-4, 7-9 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 11 AM at Third Presbyterian Church.
