Crumrine; grandchildren, Teresa (Anthony) Amoroso, Tamara (Daniel) Olmstead, great-grandson, Ethan Olmstead; cousin, Zorada Green; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his cherished companion, Jean Smith. Mr. Rudman graduated from Irondequoit High School and the University of Rochester and was a Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Rudman was an insurance agent with The New England.

Devoted mother to Chelsea and Sean Rose, Michele is also survived by her parents, Ronald and Karen Compertore; sister, Renee (Tom) Noll; brothers, David (LeeAnn) Compertore and Kevin Compertore; nieces, Devon, Haley, Maia, Rowan, Cameron and nephew, Brandon; and beloved friend, Thomas Dimino.
Michele was a graduate of the University of Rochester and received her Masters Degree at SUNY Brockport. She worked as an Image Scientist at Kodak, ITT and MCC, and she held several patents.

Survived by her children, Karen (Dr. David) Shuttleworth, Dr. William (Carol) Salminen, Jane Salminen, and Robert (Jeanne) Salminen; grandchildren, Susan (William) Pratt, Catherine (Scott) Baruch, Jennifer (Timothy) Knapp, Dr. William Jr. (Kimberly) Salminen, Dr. Bryan (Aimee) Salminen, Sarah and Matthew Salminen; great-grandchildren, Henry, Claudia, Kirsten Eila, Eben, Mason, Annie, Theodore, Elizabeth, Tyler, Alec, Jacob, Spencer,
Emily Eila and Andrew; sister, Irja Janhunen; and special friend, Alicia Joy.
Eila was a proud homemaker, whose cookie recipes will continue to be enjoyed by the next generations. She loved antiquing and her years at Hidden Treasures. Eila was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word for many years.

Woodams, Peter Michael Sr. Rochester: January 20, 2010 at age 82 peacefully passed away. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marianne (Braun); children, son: Peter Jr. (Leslie), daughter: Lynn (Jeff) Niegsch; grandchildren: Peter Joseph Niegsch, Sarah and P. Michael Woodams, III; sister: Shirley Hoestery of Santa Ana, CA. Predeceased by daughter Lisa. Peter served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was the Commodore of the Rochester Yacht Club (RYC), a long time member and a lifetime avid sailor. He graduated from the University of Rochester and received his MBA from Cornell University. He was a loving husband and father and had a wonderful spirit of humor and joy that filled so many peoples hearts.
Friends are invited to join the family in celebration of Peter’s life for a memorial gathering at the Rochester Yacht Club, 5555 St. Paul Boulevard, Rochester (14617) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM with reception to follow until 3:00 PM. PITTSFORD: Passed away peacefully in his home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, January 24, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Allyn; sons, Christopher of Orchard Park, NY and Damon (Jennifer) of Ronkonkoma, NY; five beloved and cherished grandsons, Matt, Andrew, Jonathan, Nicholas and Aidan. He is also survived by his brother, Louis (Dolly) of Greenville, SC; niece, Jessica (Bobby) of Atlanta, GA; great-niece, Elle. In addition he leaves in-laws, Robyn (Ed) Shafer, Doug (Mary) Leahy and nephews, Kevin and Dan all of Whitesboro, NY and Cubby (George) Leahy of Dexter, NM. He will be missed by many close friends.
Dominick was born on October 4, 1946 in Utica, NY, the son of Amedio and Mary Pardi. He graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School in 1964, LeMoyne College in 1968 and earned an MBA from Canisus College in 1972. He retired after 39 years with the Internal Revenue Service where he held district and national office management titles. He served on the Board of Directors of the Jaguar Association of CNY, was a member of the Greater Rochester Triumph Club and spent many rewarding hours working as a volunteer at St. Peters Kitchen. Dominick loved cars, skiing, golf, the Buffalo Bills, Disney World and his cats. He and Allyn traveled the world sharing great adventures with family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Wilmot Cancer Center for their knowledge and care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodcliff, 199 Woodcliff Dr., Fairport, NY on Saturday, January 30th at 4:00 PM, all are welcome. Memorials may be made to St Peters Kitchen, 681 Brown St., Rochester, NY 14611 or Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.

BRIGHTON, Died peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the age of 91. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary-Edwards Newell Baird (Buzzie); father of four surviving children, including, Daniel N. Baird, Gordon C. (Carol) Baird, Mary-Bryn (Alan) Tucker, Barclay A.E. (Cynthia) Baird; He is survived by nine grandchildren including, Elizabeth B. (Charles) Hurley, Megan Baird, Andrew Baird, Mary Catherine Baird, Maja T. (Dimitri) Stefanou, Mary-Cardwell Cardy (Michael) Stevens, Dana Tucker, Rachael B. (Anthony) Snead, and Michael Baird; Great Grandfather of Alexandria Hurley, Jack Rockne Hurley, Abigail (Abby) Hurley, Ava Caroline Hurley, Emma Stefanou, Ava Stefanou, Constantine (Costa) Stefanou; two god children, Lisa Clark of Massachusetts and Fred Taylor of California. Preceded in death by his sister Barbara (Bobby) Groetzinger, his daughter-in-law, Carolyn Baird and his grandson, Eric Baird.
William Baird attended Columbia School and the Allendale School, the Los Alamos Boys School in New Mexico, Cornell University with a degree in civil engineering. In 1941, he married Mary-Edwards Newell (Buzzie) who survives him. In World War II, he joined a Seabee Battalion and served in the Pacific Theater commencing in 1942 and ending in 1945. He was assigned to various island outposts, including, Midway, Tinian and Palau. On Palau, he saw combat action during Landfall and was commended for valor. Most significantly, he was placed in charge of the construction of the airfield on Tinian which was strategic for later delivery of the atomic bomb to Japan. Following the war, William Baird started the W.C. Baird Corporation and built numerous custom homes in the greater Rochester area. He also traveled extensively in the Caribbean Islands, Europe and the Far East from the 1950s into the 1980s. Baird served on the Board of Northside Hospital and, later, Rochester General Hospital. He worked closely with the area Red Cross and was honored for 50 years of service. He was a benefactor of the RPO, The Memorial Art Gallery, The Eastman House and The Rochester Museum of Science. Most recently, he served as a consultant on the Brighton Town Architectural Review Board. William Baird was a long-standing member of The Country Club of Rochester and the Genesee Valley Club. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and hunted yearly at their Montezuma Wetland area near Clyde. He was also a member of the Bent Barrel Hunting Club. He loved life and made the most of his 91 years.
No prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 36 South Main Street, Pittsford, 14534. Reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rochester Chapter of the Red Cross, 50 Prince Street, Rochester, NY 14607.

BRIGHTON: January 26, 2010 at age 20. Survived by his parents, Erik and Judy von Bucher; brother, Peter; sister, Lilly; grandparents, Joseph and Nancy Briggs; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his two Siberian huskies, Misha and Kolby, his flying squirrel, Stella, 5 geckos, and a collection of tropical fish.
Mark was a graduate and honor student of Allendale Columbia 2008. He was named Finger Lakes Soccer Player of the Year. He was a pre-veterinarian student at Cornell University majoring in animal sciences and a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity.
Mark had a lifelong love of animals. He was a volunteer at Lollypop Farm for two years in high school; completed an internship at the Brighton Animal Hospital; and volunteered at a monkey sanctuary in South Africa one summer. He enjoyed dog sledding and skijoring with his huskies, soccer, snowboarding, tennis, wakeboarding and water sports on Canandaigua Lake.
He was fortunate to be surrounded by many genuine and fun-loving friends. He had an infectious laugh, kind and caring nature, and an adventurous spirit.
No calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM, Friday February 5th at Third Presbyterian Church, 4 Meigs St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allendale Columbia School at 519 Allens Creek Rd., Rochester, NY 14618 or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.
