Bonetti, Vincent "Jake" Sr.: LYONS: Vincent J. Bonetti, Sr., 85 of Montezuma Street, died Saturday (Feb. 14, 2004) the the Clifton Springs Hospital. Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. (Feb. 19) at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St. in Lyons. A Memorial Mass will be at 11 AM Thursday (Feb. 19) at St. Michael's Church. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Genesee Region Home Care/Hospice, 513 W. Union St., Newark, NY.

Brewer, Lawrence E.
ONTARIO: Died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at age 83. Funeral Services for Lawrence will be Wednesday 10:00 A.M. from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1767 Plank Rd., Webster. Interment, Furnaceville Cemetery.

DeFisher, Raymond
ONTARIO: Went to be with The Lord and his loving wife and sweetheart of 64 years, Dorothy (Whittleton) DeFisher on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2004 in his 90th year. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 at the Young Funeral Home, 4025 West Main St., Williamson, where a Service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m.

Austin, Rodney E. "Hap"
MARION: Died on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Geneva General Hospital at the age of 75. Mr. Austin was born on December 24, 1928 in Marion, New York to Ralph and Gertrude Goosen Austin. He was a 1947 graduate of Marion High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. The funeral home proudly flies the Marine Corp flag in honor of his service to our country. Mr. Austin was especially proud to be a member of the Marion Memorial Post #1430 of the American Legion for more than 45 years. Hap and the former Marion Sindinski were married on August 22, 1959 in St. Gregory's Church in Marion. In addition to his wife Marion, Mr. Austin is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Austin; sons, David and Paul Austin; and grandsons, Jeffrey Steiner II and Michael Steiner. Contributions in memory of Hap may be directed to the American Legion Post, 4141 Witherden Rd., Marion, NY 14505.

Dean, Virginia A.
WOLCOTT: Age 77, died on Feb. 10, 2004 at the Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William; 2 sons, Rusty (Lisa) and Gary all of Wolcott; 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Ali, Eric and Christopher; 2 cousins, Alma Hathaway and Wilma Partridge both of FL. Interment Huron Evergreen Cem. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to N. Rose Fire Dept. Ambulance Fund or the Blossom View Nursing Home Patient Fund.

DeBadts, Clair A.
SODUS: Age 69, passed away on February 8, 2004. He was survived by sisters, Janice Wren of Sodus, Carol Steaderman of Williamson, Millie Smith of Marion, and Ann Mote of Wolcott; several nieces & nephews. Services are being planned for the spring. Contributions may be made to Mercy Flight. Arrangements made by Norton Funeral Home, Sodus.

DeBarr, Gerald D.
Newark: Gerald D. DeBarr, 74, died Saturday (February 14, 2004) at Via Health of Wayne, Newark Campus. Mr. DeBarr was born in Newark on November 29, 1929, the son of David and Margaret De Smith De Barr. A 1947 graduate of New ark High School, Gerry attended Cornell University until 1950 when he joined the US Army, serving in Germany as a MP. Upon his return from the Service, he joined his father in the carpentry business of David DeBarr and Son in Newark. In 1971, he became a project superintendent for Roche-Kimberly Construction in Palmyra. He also taught carpentry at BOCES in Oswego County and in 1976 attained his permanent teaching certificate from the State University of New York. Gerry was maintenance supervisor for the Newark Development Center for six years and then plant superintendent for the Syracuse Developmental Center until his retirement in 1994. He has currently been serving on the Town of Arcadia Planning Board, the County of Wayne Planning Board and the Federal Commission Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor. Mr. DeBarr served four years as a Town of Arcadia Councilman and four years as Town of Arcadia Supervisor, he also served on the Wayne County Board of Supervisors and was Chairman of the Wayne County Water Supply Agency. Gerry was a member of St. Michael Church and Past Grand Knight of the Newark Council #897, Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the August Mauer Post #286 American Legion, the Arcadia Memorial Post 2883 VFW and the Newark Elks Lodge #1249. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sally Slade De Barr, daughter and son-in-law Valerie and William Kubera of Cicero, grandchildren Peter, Kimberly, Kristen; two sisters Mary Jane (Clayton) Cornwell of Himrod and Kathleen (George) Cornwell of Satsuma, Fl., a niece Mary Lisa Maslyn and three nephews John, Jeffrey and Josh Cornwell. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Monday (Feb. 16) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Ed Dillon will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. on Tuesday (Feb. 17) at St. Michael's Church, Newark. Burial will be in the Newark Cemetery. Memorials in his name may be made to the Newark-Arcadia Volunteer Ambulance, PO Box 680, Newark, New York 14513 or the Via Health of Wayne Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation, PO Box 571, Newark, New York 14513.

DeBlaere, Betty Mae
NEWARK: On Feb. 8, 2004, at age 88. She is survived by 2 daughters, Diane (Robert) Van Waes of Shortsville, Judy (Leslie) Garner of Lyons; a son, Dennis (Libby) of Newark; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nellie Fitch of Newark, Rose (Ed) Fitch of Newark, Edith Ryan of Clyde; 3 brothers, Robert (Eleanor) Case of Palmyra, Donald (Marcy) Case of Oswego and Leon (Beverly) Case of Newark. Betty was predeceased by her husband, William in 1968 and 8 siblings. Burial will be in the Newark Cemetery. NEWARK: Albert Nelson Fisher, 53, of Maple Ridge Road, died Monday (Feb. 9, 2004) at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Canandaigua.

Knapp, Lauretta (Sheahen)
WILLIAMSON: Died on February 6, 2004 at age 85. Daughter of Thomas & Mary Sheahen of Ontario, she is survived by her sons, William John Knapp, James C. Knapp; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Meghan, Joshua, John, Heidi, Chris; sister Glady Burdge; several nieces & nephews. Burial at Ridge Chapel Cemetery in the spring. Donations may be made to Meals on Wheels in her memory.

Mancuso, Teresa C.
NEWARK: On February 12, 2004, at age 99. Teresa is survived by her beloved sons, Peter (Erma) Mancuso and Vincent (Mary Jane) Mancuso, both of Newark; daughter, Mary (Gordon) Harris of Taylorville, NC; grandchildren, Peter, Lori, Sandi, Terri, Cathy, Debbie, Shelly, Valarie and David; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many cousins and friends. Napierala, Edward B., Jr.
PALMYRA: Passed away peacefully February 9, 2004, age 72 at Newark Wayne Hospital. He is survived by his mother Eugenia Napierala; siblings, Irene Smigera, Daniel (Nancy) Napierala, Thomas (Adele) Napierala, Robert (Elaine) Napierala, Joann Napierala, Raymond (Debra) Napierala. He will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, many friends and dearest friend Charlotte. Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service 11 a.m., February 21st, at St. Anne’s Church, Palmyra.

Raethka, Thelma C.
SODUS: Age 90, died at home on February 10, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband Russell, daughter Pamela Rease and granddaughter Cindi Raethka. She is survived by 2 sons, Russell (Ginger) Raethka Jr. and Gary (Dianne) Raethka; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Friends may call Friday (Feb. 27) 2-5 PM at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St., Sodus, where Funeral Services will follow at 5:00 PM. Interment will be in the Lake View Cemetery in Pultneyville. Contributions may be made to the Sodus United Third Methodist Church.

Stewart, Harold W.
LYONS: Age 84, died on Sunday, February 8, 2004. He is survived by his brother, Benson (Dorothy) Stewart of Lyons; sister, Lucille Tilburg of Newark; nieces and nephews; special friend, Janette Renzi, and many other friends in Lyons. Spring burial will be in the South Lyons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the First Lutheran Church of Lyons in Harold's memory.
