He was born and raised in Lyons, graduating from Lyons High School where he played varsity football. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Thomas Gilbert Baldwin Jr. and his wife Eleanor Charleton Baldwin of Keswick, VA; three daughters, Ann Hayden Baldwin of Nobleboro, Maine, Sarah Jane Baldwin of Newton and Susan Baldwin Mattison and her husband Robert Hale Mattison Sr. of Simsbury, CT; four grandchildren, Thomas Gilbert Baldwin III, Robert Hale Mattison Jr., Elizabeth Hayden Mattison and Sarah Baldwin Mattison. Burial will be private in New York. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harwich-Dennis Rotary Scholarship Fund in his name.

CLYDE: Mrs. Clara L. Gilkey, 94, formerly of 127 Glasgow St., died Friday (May 28, 2004) at the Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons. Mrs. Gilkey was born in Nokomis, IL on June 2, 1909. She was the daughter of William and Flora Walker Morgan. She was married to the late Roy Gilkey, who pre-deceased her in April of 1985. Clara was a resident of Clyde for over 80 years, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Clyde United Methodist Church for most of her life. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alma (Richard) D'Amato of Clyde and Mrs. JoAnn McCarthy of Indiana, PA., 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Eleanor Wilkins in October 1996, her brother, Robert Morgan, and two son-in-laws Edgar Bob Wilkins in March of 2001 and George McCarthy in 1993. Burial in the South Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, NY Memorial contributions to the Clyde Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O.
