Culver, Richard L.
PALMYRA: Age 71, died on August 10, 2004, at his home in Palmyra.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6-9pm on Thursday, August 12th at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main St., Palmyra, where a funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, August 13th.

Figueroa , Jose M. Jr.
NEWARK: Jose M. Figueroa Jr., infant son of Jose and Cindy Carpenter Figueroa, died Thursday (Aug. 5, 2004) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

LYONS: James E. Crego, 63, of Montezuma Street, entered eternal rest Tuesday (Aug. 3, 2004) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

Duemmel, Margaret A. (Wood)
FAIRPORT: Age 54, passed away August 4, 2004.
She was predeceased by siblings, Thomas Duemmel and Norma Gannon.
Margaret is survived by children, Kenneth Wood of Attica, Carrie (Kevin) Daniel of Walworth and Robert Wood of Macedon; grandchildren, Katelin, Thomas, Catherine, Tatyana, Tiffany and Tyler; siblings, Raymond (Debbie) Duemmel, Robert (Mickey) Larkin, Richard Larkin, Martha (Don) Bueg, Mary Ellen Duemmel; and several nieces & nephews.
Margaret was employed by American Can and Tops in Fairport.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

DuBurk, Howard M.
WILLIAMSON: Entered into rest on August 3, 2004 in his 75th year.
A retired Carpenter.
Survived by his loving and devoted children: daughter, LuAnn (Donald) Scharett of Marion; sons, Scott DuBurk & Melody Coller of Williamson, Gordon (Gwyn) Murphy of Wolcott; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Brandie Salisbury) Scharett, James Scharett, Megan Scharett and Kimberly Murphy; great-grandchildren, Shane Scharett and Colton Murphy; brother, Wesley DuBurk of Williamson; sister-in-law, Elizabeth DuBurk; nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his son, Dale DuBurk; parents, Anthony and Mildred (Garlock) DuBurk and brother, Floyd DuBurk.
Interment Ridge Chapel Cemetery, Williamson.

Houk, Marjorie A.
SODUS POINT: Age 76, passed away on August 5, 2004.
She was predeceased by husband, Wallace; grandson, Justin Wolfe; brothers, Oliver Magar & Richard Magar.
Marjorie was survived by her daughters, Virginia Wolfe of Lockport and Cynthia (Timothy) Van Marter of Fayetteville; step-sons, Paul (Janice) Houk & David (Martha) Houk; 10 grandchildren, Christina (Christopher) Gilinger, Penny Gallagher, Lindsay (Dan) Sabo, Jared Wolfe, Hallie & Christopher Wolfe, Caitlin & Brenna Van Marter, and Alex & Adam Houk; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Ann) Magar of Webster, Edward (Violet) Magar, Joseph Magar, Alice Kelley, and Betty Ornt all of Rochester, James Magar of Macedon, and Frank (Shirley) Magar of Chili; several cousins, nieces & nephews.
Friends may call Monday 1-3 & 5-7 at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St., Sodus, where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sodus Point Lighthouse.

Loveless, Elizabeth Rankert
LYONS: Age 82, of Jackson Street, died on Saturday, August 7, 2004.
Surviving are her son, Robert (Charlyn) C. Loveless of Georgia; daughter, Susan (Burt) Ohmann of Clinton; four granddaughters, Lisa & Erin of NYC, and Stephanie & Lauren of Georgia; brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Rankert of Lyons; sister, Lorraine (Duane) Oakleaf of Florida; nieces and nephews.
Graveside burial services will be private at Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons.
Memorial donations may be made to HOSPICE, 1120 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513.
Betty was born in Lyons on August 26, 1921, a daughter to Earl and Clara Ellsworth Rankert.
She was employed for years at the Wayne County Veterans Office as a senior stenographer in Lyons.

Schrader, Ruth (Schreiner)
PALMYRA: Formerly of Rochester, died August 6, 2004 at age 99.
Predeceased by her husbands Amandus and George; great-grandson Ted Schreiner.
Survived by son Richard (Claudine) Schreiner; 5 grandchildren, Terry, Curt, Donna, Gail & Pat Sue; 9 great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
Friends are invited to call Monday 6-8 p.m. at McGUIRE/HARGRAVE & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 123 East Jackson St. Palmyra.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne’s Church, Palmyra.
Interment, St. Anne’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Anne’s Cemetery Assoc. in her memory.

Teeple, Arnold B.
OWEGO: Formerly of North Rose, NY, died August 4 2004, at age 83.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Ron Skeels of Owego, and his former wife, Mary of MD; grandchildren, Andrea Johnson, Adam and Jana Skeels; brothers, Harold (Elsie), Ralph, Eugene (Bonnie); nieces and nephews, and many friends.
He also had a son, Byron, who predeceased him.
He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor and Guadalcanal, and was retired from the Merchant Marines.
He loved Harleys and was a longtime friend and associate of the Iron Horsemen Motorcycle Club, and was also a long-term member of the Newark VFW.
A Funeral Service will be held Mon. 8/9/04 at 11 AM at the funeral home.
Donations to Newark VFW, in care of the funeral home, will be appreciated.

Thomas, Fred
CLYDE: Mr. Fred Thomas, 68, of Route 31 in Clyde, died Friday (Aug. 6, 2004) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital following a brief illness.
A graveside services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM in Maple Grove Cemetery, Clyde., with Rev. Dana Rattray, pastor of the Clyde Community Church officiating.
Memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
Fred was born on December 7, 1935 in Rolling Springs, PA.
He was the son of Robert and Goldie Smith Thomas Sr.
On December 20, 1967 he married the former Sarah Kenyon and had been a resident of Clyde for many years. He was formerly employed by Seneca Foods in Williamson, NY.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Thomas of Clyde, one son, Fred Adams of Clyde, one daughter, Wanda Wallach of Clyde, two brothers, Raymond (Eleanor) Thomas of Blairsville, PA, and Robert Thomas of Williamson, 3 sisters, Edna (Robert) Shippers of Rochester, Estella (Bob) Weigand of Jordan, and Florence Seymour of Wolcott, 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, his son John Thomas in 1985, his sisters, Margaret and Beatrice and his brother Robert Thomas Jr.

White, Colin B.
SODUS: Age 91, passed away on August 2, 2004.
He is predeceased by wife, Martha C. White; son, Byron R. White.
Colin is survived by children, Natalie(Richard A.) Turner and John B. White (Albert Balt); sisters-in-law, Dorothy White and Esther Camp.
Colin retired from fruit farming/former owner and operator of the B.J. Case Farm, Sodus, NY.
He was also a lifelong member of the Sodus United Third Methodist Church, 50+ yrs.
Member of the Sodus Masonic Lodge F&AM and Sodus Grange.
