Age: 93
Florence M. Clark, age 93, longtime resident of St. James, died on Dec. 14. She was a longtime member of St. James Episcopal Church: a member of Vestry, Women's Guild, Altar Guild, Member of DAR, LI Music Society, Smithtown Historical Society, Smithtown Book Club and active in the Smithtown Food Pantry.
Mrs. Clark was the beloved wife of Andrew; cherished mother of Florence Miller, Pat Farr, Andrew and the late John; caring Grandma of 12 grandchildren and Great-Grandma of 14 great-grandchildren.
A Mass was celebrated on Dec. 17 at St. James Episcopal Church. Interment followed at St. James Episcopal Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Maher Family of the St. James Funeral Home in St. James.
Charles M. Capobianco
Died: Monday, December 12, 2011
Age: 85
Charles M. Capobianco of Greenlawn and formerly of Glen Cove died on Dec. 12 at the age of 85. He was born
on Feb. 9, 1926.
Mr. Capobianco was a retired chief of police for the Old Brookville Police Department and a proud World War II United States Army veteran.
He was the beloved father of Ricky Capobianco, Kim Swenson, Dete McGowan and Michael Capobianco; loving grandfather of 13; cherished great-grandfather of six; and dear brother of Joan Kelly.
A funeral Mass was held Dec. 16 at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, Greenlawn. Interment with military honors was held at Calverton National Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Brueggemann Funeral Home of East Northport.
Gasper J. Falzone
Died: Sunday, December 11, 2011
Gasper J. Falzone of South Setauket died on Dec. 11.
He was the beloved husband of Cynthia J. Falzone; loving father of Gabrielle and Matthew; dear brother of Diane and Michael.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church on Dec. 19. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements were entrusted to the O.B. Davis Funeral Homes of Port Jefferson Station.
John Michael Guerriere
Died: Sunday, December 11, 2011
Age: 88
John Michael Guerriere, age 88, of Smithtown, died on Dec. 11.
They Shall Not Be Forgotten.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, World War II.
Mr. Guerriere was the beloved father of Michele (Jim) and the late Dolores Anne; loving brother of Louise Tuozzo, Louis and Nancy Saracino.
A religious service was celebrated at the funeral home. Interment followed at St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Patricia M. Rockelein
Died: Saturday, December 10, 2011
Age: 71
Patricia M. Rockelein, 71, of Centereach, died on Dec. 10. She was the beloved wife of Stephen J. Rockelein; loving mother of Stephanie Coiro and her husband, Gary, Pattie Clanton and her husband, Michael, Gary Rockelein and his wife, Victoria and the late Tara Rockelein; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Sebastian, Steven, Stephanie, Kathryn, Michael, Mallory, Santino, Antonio and Niccolo; dear sister of Ann Connolly and Marilyn Hasenzahl.
A private cremation was held. Funeral arrangements were handled by O.B. Davis Funeral Homes of Centereach.
Charles Griffaton
Died: Sunday, February 26, 2012
Charles R. Griffaton died on Feb. 26 at the age of 76. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran. Charles was the beloved husband of Marilyn; loving father of Michael (Debbie) and Margaret; cherished grandfather of Daniel, David, and Rheana; devoted son-in-law of Ernestine Holbin; and dear brother-in-law of Florence Barrett, Susann Sochalski, Linda Sheahan and Shirley (Harris) Rosenberg. He was also a caring uncle and great-uncle.
A religious service was held Feb. 28 at the funeral home. Cremation private. Interment Feb. 29 at Calverton National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Charles’ memory to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Fives Smithtown Funeral Home.
Carl Bernhard
Died: Saturday, February 25, 2012
Carl R. Bernhard, 60, of Rocky Point, died Feb. 25. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Carl L. and Mildred C. (Buono) Bernhard.
Survived by one son, David Bernhard of Texas. Son of Mildred C. (Buono) Bernhard; brother of two sisters, Sandra Vivonetto of Rocky Point and Diane Popovski of Rocky Point; and one brother, Douglas Bernhard of East Yaphank.
A private cremation was arranged by family.
Arrangements were entrusted to Rocky Point Funeral Home of Rocky Point.
Doris Sheehan

Doris Sheehan, a former resident of Miller Place and Port Jefferson died on Feb. 23. She was born
in New York City, the daughter of William and Helen Smith.
Doris was the beloved wife of Seamus Sheehan who predeceased her in 2007. She was the loving mother of Deirdre Davis and her husband Skip, and Donna Nemeth and her husband Terry. She is also survived by four grandchildren: James Davis, Donna McKeown, Michael and Samantha. In addition she had five cherished great-grandchildren: Linzie, Brendan, Seamus, Annie and Jack. Doris was retired from her position as deputy clerk and village registrar for the Village of Port Jefferson.
A funeral Mass was held Feb. 27 at Infant Jesus Church in Port Jefferson Village. Donations can be made in her name to the LI Chapter of the National MS Society or the Heart Transplant Center at NY Presbyterian Hospital, NYC.
Arrangements were entrusted to the O.B. Davis Funeral Homes of Miller Place.

Richard Phillips
Died: Tuesday, February 21, 2012
Richard I. Phillips, age 62, of St. James died on Feb. 21. He was the beloved husband of Georgette; loving father of Ricky Jr., Robert and Regina; cherished Grandpa of Larisa, Cruz, Brock, Jhett, Zane, Richelle, Brooke and Robbie; and devoted brother of Lyman, Brewster, Bernadette and Roberta. He cared for many nieces and nephews. Mr. Phillips worked for Smithtown school district for over 30 years. His passion for music and custom car painting was driven by his creative nature. A funeral Mass was held Feb. 24 at St. James Episcopal Church, St. James. Interment to follow at St. James Episcopal Cemetery, St. James.

Teresa Sposato
Died: Monday, February 20, 2012
Teresa Sposato of Northport died on Feb. 20 at Hospice House in East Northport. She was born
in Huntington on Sept. 28, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Rose Petrone LePera. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Sposato is survived by her daughter, Doris (Rosario Polizzi) Sposato of Northport; her grandsons, Philip (Latisha) Sposato and Gerald (Adrienne) Sposato; and her great-grandchildren, Kaden, Maksim, Alyssa and Gabriella. She was predeceased by her son, Gerald J. (Barbara A.) Sposato.
The funeral was held on Feb. 22 at St. Philip Neri Church in Northport, followed by interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Huntington.

Georgette Maggio
Died: Monday, February 20, 2012
Georgette Yvette Maggio of Manorville died on Feb. 20. She was born
in Woodside on Sept. 28, 1921, the daughter of Hector and Georgette Barade Wright. She was a library assistant at Harborfields Public Library.
Mrs. Maggio is survived by her son, Vincent (Karen) Maggio; her daughters, Gayle Moore, Cynthia (Stuart) Devlin and Lynne (Richard) Conrad; and her grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Dana, Lindsey, Vincent, Leigha and Angela.
The funeral was held on Feb. 21, the Rev. John Jurik officiating, followed by interment at Genola Rural Cemetery in East Northport.

Susan Lechleiter
Died: Monday, February 20, 2012
Susan Lechleiter, 70, of Smithtown died on Feb. 20. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Lechleiter Jr.; the beloved mother of Jeff Wade and Lisa Beuttler; and the loving sister of Marjorie Moloney. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Good Shepherd Hospice would be appreciated.

Daniel Dantuono
Died: Monday, February 20, 2012
Daniel T. Dantuono, 80, of Smithtown, died on Feb. 20. He was a Korean War veteran, stationed in Germany at the Berlin Wall. He was the lead engineer for Grumman on the LEM III Lunar Excursion Module.
Daniel was the beloved husband of Anne “Alice;” loving father of Daniel (Janet) Dantuono and Joanne Andreotta; cherished grandfather of James, Christopher, Dana and Danielle; and adored brother of Peggy Corrigan.
A religious service was celebrated at the funeral home. Entombment of ashes followed at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
