Phyllis D. Beischer

St. Johnsville -- Phyllis D. Beischer, 73, of 26  Washington St., St. Johnsville, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2004, at Albany Medical Center.

She was born March 20, 1931, in St. Johnsville, the daughter of the late Frank A. and Laura M. (Wick) Nellis. Phyllis was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School, class of 1949, and was a life long resident of St. Johnsville.

Her marriage to William (Bill) Beischer took place on November 26, 1955, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Crum Creek.

Mrs. Beischer was of the Protestant faith.

With family as her foremost priority, Phyllis proved herself as a loving and caring wife, sister and aunt.

She enjoyed cooking meals for her family and friends, and had a special place in her heart for animals.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William (Bill); two sisters, Shirley T. Kilts of Mount Dora, Florida, and Donna Swartz and husband George of St. Johnsville and many nieces, nephews and in-laws, Irene Sitterly of Canandaigua, Isabel Ponce of Albany, Edwin Beischer of St. Johnsville and DeEtta Nellis of St. Johnsville.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Donald, Carlton and Graham Nellis; and two sisters, Doris Nellis and Muriel Miller.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Johnsville Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Cole, pastor of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. All memorial contributions may be made to S.A.V.A.C or to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter. Envelopes will be available during the service.

Mrs. Josephine R. Angelicchio

HERKIMER/FRANKFORT -- Mrs. Josephine R. Angelicchio, a longtime Herkimer resident, a native of Frankfort, passed away early Friday morning, September 3, 2004, in Folts Homes, Herkimer.

She was born on November 17, 1922, in Frankfort, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rose (Dove) Polizzi and received her education in Frankfort schools. On July 25, 1942, she married Bernard R. "Billy" Angelicchio in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. She was last employed by the Herkimer Elks Lodge and was employed at one time by Chirico's Restaurant in Herkimer. Josephine was a communicant of Saints Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer.

Survivors include her husband Billy of Herkimer; two sons, Anthony Angelicchio of Las Vegas, NV, and Bernard "Billy Boy" Angelicchio of Utica; a daughter, Maria Barberio and husband Greg of Elkhart, Ind.; five grandchildren, Gregory and Jay Barberio, Anthony and Michael Angelicchio and Joseph Angelicchio; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, John and Vita Polizzi; a sister, Florence Giangregorio; and by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Angelicchio.

Josephine was an exemplary family woman, always considering her loved ones to be her foremost priority and her greatest happiness. As mother and grandmother, she constantly demonstrated her loving, kind and generous nature along with her caring and considerate heart. She was happiest when in the company of her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed putting her talents to work throughout her professional life.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N.  Washington St., Herkimer, on Monday, September 6, 2004, from 5-8 p.m. Josephine's funeral will commence at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, September 7, from the funeral home and at 11 a.m. from Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, South Main Street, Herkimer, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. The procession will then follow to Calvary Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.

Wayne H. Guile

MOHAWK -- Mr. Wayne H. Guile, age 84, a former longtime resident of 15 Orchard St., Mohawk, passed away on Sunday morning, September 5, 2004, at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital in New Hartford.

He was born on December 10, 1919, in Dolgeville, a son of the late Harry and Maude (McGowan) Guile and received his education in Dolgeville schools. On June 29, 1940, Wayne joined in marriage with Marguerite Hurdic in Mohawk, a loving union of nearly 53 years until the passing of Mrs. Guile on March 11, 1993. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served our country during World War II. He was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and was awarded an honorable discharged. Upon relief from active duty he received a World War II Victory Medal, an American Campaign Ribbon, an Asiatic Pacific Medal with one Star and a Philippine Liberation Medal.

Wayne had last worked full-time with Sperry Rand Univac in Ilion as an expediter and also as a power truck operator. He retired in 1976 after 33 years of dedicated service.

He was a kind and generous man who enjoyed social activities, especially that of square dancing. He was a square dance caller since his high school days, having enjoyed this tradition throughout the Mohawk Valley, especially in Ephratah, with Ben Hur in Mohawk and most recently with the Happy Valley Gang.

He is survived by his beloved family including a son and daughter in law, Duane Guile and his wife Sharon of Mohawk; his grandchildren, Shelley Russell and her husband Kevin, Kelly Coffin and her husband Harold, Matthew Guile and his wife Jamie, Jason Guile and his wife Felicia and Cassandra McClure and her husband Stephen; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Bryant, Brent, Shelby, Tennille, Harold Jr., Raymond, Katlin, Brook, Matthew Jr., Austin, Kai and Thomas; a sister-in-law, Jane Guile of Dolgeville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a son, Bruce Guile and his wife Yvonne; a brother, Charles Guile; and his grandson, Dennis Guile.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at 10 a.m. from the Graves-Applegate and Day Funeral Home, 48 E. Main St., Mohawk, with the Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating. Procession will follow to Fort Plain Cemetery where interment will take place with full military rites offered by the United States Navy assisted by the Fort Plain VFW Firing Squad. Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 7, from 5-8 p.m. Those wishing are asked to consider donations in memory of Wayne to the American Heart Association. Envelopes may be obtained from the funeral home.

The family extends their most sincere gratitude to the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in Ilion for their loving care and concern during Wayne's stay there.

Stanley P. Bayzon

JORDANVILLE --Stanley P. Bayzon, 79, of 3730 Jordanville Rd., passed away Saturday, September 4, 2004, in Little Falls Hospital.

He was born in Jordanville on July 14, 1925, the son of the late Peter and Christina Bayzon. Stanley graduated from Van Hornesville High School, class of 1943. On September, 16, 1950, in S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, he married Anne Hardish. Stanley owned and operated the family farm in Jordanville until retirement in 1998.

Stanley was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, V.F.W. Post No. 4915 and the Herkimer Farm Bureau. Stanley also served as a special police officer for the village of Herkimer for many years. Stanley served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theatre and the Battle of the Bulge, where he was awarded the Purple Heart.

Stanley is survived by his wife Anne; one sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Joseph Kramer of Mohawk; two brothers-in-law, Charles Witkowski of Fort Plain and Charles Hardish of Schuyler; and several nieces and nephews, including Ron and Carol Bayzon of Richfield Springs, Barbara and Ron Deusler of St. Johnsville, Charles and Roseanne Witkowski Jr. of Fort Plain, Kathleen Parks of Rochester, Carole Parks of Connecticut, Pat Whalen and David Whalen, both of Ilion, and Rodney and Sharon Whalen of Herkimer.

He was predeceased by one brother, John Bayzon; and three sisters, Rose Witkowski, Mary Parks and Helen Whalen.

Stanley's funeral will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S.  Washington St., Herkimer, and at 1 p.m. in S.S. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, East Herkimer, with Archpriest James M. Jadick officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. Parastas will be held Tuesday evening at 7:45 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Norma J. Zuber, 85, of Bergen died Monday, November 29, 2004.

Mrs. Frances C. Ridall, 79, of Wyoming died Monday, November 29, 2004.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Wyoming.

Anthony Charles Willis, 34, of Orange Park, Florida passed away on November 27, 2004. He was the son of the late Gary Willis and grandson of the late Joseph and Genevieve Iannello of Le Roy. Services were held for the family and friends on Friday, December 3rd, 10:30 a.m, at Good Shepard Church on East Henrietta Rd. in Rochester.
