Christine V. Crimmins
HERKIMER/LITTLE FALLS — Mrs. Christine V. Crimmins, 84, a resident of the Valley Health Services, 690 West German St., Herkimer, and a former longtime resident and businesswoman of the City of Little Falls, passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2000.
She was born on December 11, 1915, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Skarejak) Vrana. She received her education in Little Falls schools. Christine was united in marriage to Robert E. Crimmins on June 15, 1946, at St. Mary's parish House in Little Falls with Father Whelly officiating. The couple shared in a blessed union of over 54 years. Mr. Crimmins passed away on July 26 of this year.
Christine had been employed in Little Falls for many years as she had worked as a partner with the former Style Shop. For over 37 years Mrs. Crimmins was self-employed as the owner and operator of Chi Chi's Dress Shop in Little Falls.
Survivors include her son, John D. Crimmins of Herkimer; one daughter, Catherine Gullis along with her husband, George, of Herkimer; grandchildren, Kevin George Gullis of Herkimer, and Daniel Robert Gullis along with his wife, Christen, of Fort Herkimer; a great-granddaughter, Kharla Danielle Gullis and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Anne Lorenzoni, and her brother, Samuel Vrana.
In respect of the prearranged wishes of Christine, cremation has taken pace under the direction of the Enea Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe St., Little Falls. There are no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Contributions in her memory may be considered to a charity of one's choice. Envelopes may be obtained from the Enea Funeral Home.
The Valley Health Services' entire staff of doctors and nurses extended wonderful care towards the Crimmins family and they are very grateful for this.

Carmela ‘Millie' Spadea
HERKIMER — Carmela "Millie" Spadea, 85, of 230 W. Smith St., Herkimer, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Utica.
Carmela was a quiet, subtle woman who will always be missed by her family. She took pride in her house which was shown by its immaculate appearance and many decorations. Her cooking was also a special talent which will be missed by her family.
She was born on Dec. 5, 1914, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Danny and Sarah (Guisto) Ruffo and educated in Little Falls schools. She was last employed by the former Melrose Shoe Factory with 15 years of dedicated service.
Carmela was united in marriage to Sam Spadea in 1948 at St. Mary's Church in Little Falls. They shared a loving union and resided in Herkimer for over 50 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Sam; one sister, Annette Ruffo of Little Falls; in-laws, Dominick, and Adam and wife Jean Spadea, all of Herkimer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lou Ruffo and Peter Ruffo.
The funeral will commence at 10 a.m. from the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N.  Washington St., Herkimer, with the Rev. Robert S. Shinos, pastor of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, officiating. Procession will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, where interment will take place. Friends may visit with the family at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N.  Washington St., Herkimer, from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2000 and Saturday, September 16, 2000 from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the funeral service.
Memorial contributions in Carmela's name may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home for this purpose.

Steven G. Peknik
HERKIMER — Steven G. Peknik, 78, of South Main Street, died on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in Little Falls Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1922, in Herkimer, son of the late Daniel and Anna Cizmar Peknik. A lifelong resident of Herkimer, he was a graduate of Herkimer High School. A memorial service will take place on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court St., Herkimer, with the Rev. Dale Dickerson, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Herkimer, officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

James N. Malina
HOPEWELL TWP., N.J. — James N. Malina, 74, of Hopewell Twp., N.J., died Saturday at the Medical Center at Princeton, N.J. Born in Little Falls, he moved to the Pennington, N.J., area in 1980. Friends may call Wednesday from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, Pennington, N.J. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 West End Ave., Bridgewater, N.J. 08807 or the University of Michigan College of Engineering, 3003 S. Street, Suite 9000, Ann Arbor, MI. 48109.

William Janowicz
ST. JOHNSVILLE — William Janowicz, 92, of 6198 St. Hwy. 29, St. Johnsville, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Little Falls Hospital. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church of St. Johnsville.
Local survivors include his wife, Genevive; daughter, Mary Ann Charon, and her husband, Gregory, and grandchildren, Nathan and Jennifer, all of St. Johnsville. Funeral services for Mr. Janowicz were held Monday, Sept. 11, in Rome.

Marion M. (Bowen) Mott
LITTLE FALLS — Marion M. (Bowen) Mott, 93, of 546 E. Gansevoort St., Little Falls, passed away in Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Little Falls Hospital.
Marion was born on Sept. 28, 1907, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Ransford and Anna (Clark) Bowen. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School. Mary at one time resided in South Florida until moving to Little Falls.
She was last employed as a secretary for the Florida State Board of Medical Examiners in Miami, Fla. Marion was a communicant of Holy Family Parish in Little Falls.
Survivors include her beloved son, Fred W. Mott and wife Sally of Mentor, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Babinec and husband William of Little Falls; and her grandchildren, Breanna, Kyndra and Freddy Mott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Read; and two brothers, Charles and Clark Bowen.
Marion's funeral will commence on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. from the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, and at 11 a.m. from the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of Main and John streets, Little Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Charles R. Celeste. Procession will follow to St. John's Cemetery in Newport where interment will take place.
Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at the Enea Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Marion's name can be made to the Little Falls Public Library.
All of Marion's arrangements are under the direction of the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls.

Richard A. Snell
ST. JOHNSVILLE — Richard Ames Snell, 88, of 1729 Mill Road, St. Johnsville, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Little Falls Hospital.
He was born June 4, 1912, on the family farm in St. Johnsville, the son of the late Howard E. and Maude (Ames) Snell. Richard was educated in St. Johnsville schools and lived all his life on Mill Road in St. Johnsville.
His marriage to Dorothy O'Brien took place on Dec. 15, 1931. Mrs. Snell passed away in 1987.
Mr. Snell was owner and operator of the Snell Family Farmstead on Mill Road in St. Johnsville for over 40 years.
He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in St. Johnsville, and was a former deacon of the church for 12 years. Richard was town councilman for nine years, chairman of the Board of Assessors for nine years, a former Rotarian, and past member of the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include three daughters, Sue Williams and husband Roger of Kennebunkport, Maine, J. Sally Thomson and husband Roy of Kinderhook, and Cathy Miles and husband Ron of St. Johnsville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
In keeping with Richard's wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Reformed Church with Rev. Russell Camp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to the St. Johnsville Senior Citizens. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Mrs. Marilyn J. Sattora, 73, of Le Roy died Wednesday, February 15th, 2006. Memorials may be made to United Memorial Medical Center.

John F. McDonald, 72, of Pavilion died Wednesday, February 15th, 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, Pavilion Rescue Squad or Bethany Rescue Squad.

Monroe Hargrave, 85, of Pavilion died Sunday, February 19th, 2006. Memorials may be made to the family or to Bethany Fire Department.

Dominic S. O'Geen, 87, of Le Roy died Monday, February 20th, 2006.

Mrs. Arnes  White, 86, of Stafford died Tuesday, February 28th, 2006. Memorials may be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance, 16 Bank St., Batavia, NY 14020 or to HomeCare & Hospice, 550 East Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020.

Arthur F. Vokes, 78, of Caledonia died Sunday, March 5th, 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church or Livingston County Hospice, 2 County Campus, Mt. Morris, NY 14510.

Mrs. Jeanette S. Fiero, 93, of Le Roy died Thursday, March 2nd, 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee County Hospice or to the First Presbyterian Church of Le Roy.

Joseph J. D'Angelo, 84, of Pavilion died Thursday, March 9th, 2006. Memorials may be made to the Le Roy Christian Community Project/Gardenview.

Richard R. Vinci, 60, formerly of Le Roy died Thursday, March 23rd, 2006. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Roy.

Lester Chisholm, 75, of Le Roy died Sunday, April 2nd, 2006. Memorials may be made to the family.

USAF Colonel Dennis R. Fanning, retired, a former Le Royan of the Class of 1952, and of Brandenburg, KY died Monday, May 29th, 2006. Services were held on June 17th in Radcliff, KY. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery on August 16th with full military honors.
