Margaret Rodrigo
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Margaret Palfy Rodrigo, 94, of Schenectady, died Sunday at the Heritage Home.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, Mrs. Rodrigo was a homemaker.

Her husband, Rodrigo P. Rodrigo, whom she married Feb. 11, 1925, died in 1950.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Richard Rodrigo, Dr. Nancy Rodrigo Malara and Susan Rodrigo, all of Whitesboro; and a great-granddaughter.

The service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway at Guilderland Avenue.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.

Mary Orsini
AMSTERDAM - Mrs. Mary Panunzio Orsini, 82, of Robb Road, died Sunday at home after a long illness.
Born in Amsterdam, Mrs. Orsini was a lifelong area resident.

She was an inspector at the Amsterdam Glove Co. for 25 years, retiring several years ago.

Mrs. Orsini was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Amsterdam.

Her husband, Ralph D. Orsini, whom she married June 28, 1936, died in 1983.

Survivors include a son, Joseph R. Orsini of Amsterdam; a daughter, Linda M. Welch of Tribes Hill; a brother, Lindsey Panunzio of Amsterdam; two sisters, Frances Palloni of Amsterdam and Emma Atkins of Canaan, Conn.; three grandchildren; and a step-granddaughter.

The service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Betz Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Amsterdam.

Nellie Shell
SCOTIA - Mrs. Nellie Laszewski Shell, 87, of Scotia, died Sunday at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady.
Born in Schenectady, Mrs. Shell was a lifelong area resident.

She was a clerical worker for two years at the General Electric Co. and was also a homemaker.

Her husband, Lester E. Shell, whom she married March 13, 1938, died in 1979.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

The service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway at Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.

Pasquale Visconti
GLOVERSVILLE - Pasquale E. "Putt" Visconti, 81, of Orchard Street, died Sunday at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Gloversville, Mr. Visconti was a lifelong city resident.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Visconti worked for Fownes Bros. and Co. in Amsterdam and in Gloversville before retiring in 1980 as a foreman. After retirement, Mr. Visconti continued to work for Fownes as a consultant.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 265 and was inducted into the Fulton County Bowlers Hall of Fame in 1986. He was a member of several area bowling leagues including the Adirondack League and Fulton County Classic League. He bowled several 300 games. Mr. Visconti also played softball many years ago.

His wife, Helen Pollak Visconti, whom he married Sept. 27, 1941, died in 1984.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy H. Ameduri of Fairport and Karen A. O'Donnell of Mayfield; a son, Edward F. Visconti of Gloversville; a sister, Marion DeSantis of Gloversville and Boca Raton, Fla.; and two grandsons.

The services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Walrath & Bushouer Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., and at 9:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 this afternoon and 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Spring burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Donald Ashline Memorial Fund, care of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fulton County, 73 N. Main St., Gloversville 12078 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 261, Gloversville 12078.

Robert M. Hansen
AMSTERDAM - Robert M. Hansen, 67, of Francis Street Extension, died Saturday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital after being stricken.
A lifelong Amsterdam resident, Mr. Hansen was a 1948 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School.

During the Korean War, he served with the Army.

Mr. Hansen worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Amsterdam until retiring in 1985.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Bluemlein Hansen, whom he married Nov. 18, 1952; two sons, William C. Hansen of Amsterdam and Thomas E. Hansen of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Dr. Rebecca A. Keller of Germany; and a granddaughter.

A service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson-Lindsay Funeral Home, 11 Mohawk Place.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Greater Amsterdam Volunteer Ambulance Corps, in care of the funeral home.

Stella Faluszczak
ROTTERDAM - Mrs. Stella T. Faluszczak, 70, of Rotterdam died Monday at St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, after a short illness.
Born and educated in Waterford, Mrs. Faluszczak lived in Rotterdam most of her life.

For many years, she was a sewing machine operator for Standard Manufacturing Co. in Troy, retiring in 1990.

Mrs. Faluszczak was a longtime communicant of the Church of St. Adalbert and a member of its Rosary Society in Schenectady.

She was the widow of Raymond C. Faluszczak.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond C. Faluszczak of Brunswick and Gregory Faluszczak of Los Angeles; a sister, Viola Andryszczyk of Schenectady; a brother, Edward Opitz of Saratoga Springs; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, Route 155, and at 9 a.m. at St. Adalbert Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church's restoration fund.

Sylvester Martino
RENSSELAER - Sylvester J. Martino, 72, of Farley Drive, died Sunday at Albany Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Follansbee, W.Va., Mr. Martino lived most of his life in Rensselaer. He was a 1950 graduate of Siena College.

He was a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service for 36 years, retiring in 1980.

Mr. Martino was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the Rensselaer Council 267 Knights of Columbus, Troy Elks Lodge 141 and Internal Revenue Service American Legion Post 1750.

Mr. Martino was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.

He was the widower of Natalie Liotta Martino.

Survivors include a daughter, Joanne Kearney of River Valle, N.J.; a son, Robert J. Martino of Colonie; a brother, Albert J. Martino of East Greenbush; two sisters, Loretta Amedio of Colonie and Paula Taylor of Las Vegas, Nev.; and six grandchildren.

The services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the W.J. Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., and at 9:30 a.m. the Liturgy of Christian death and burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church.

Calling hours will be from 4 this afternoon until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.

Theodora Mauger
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Theodora Turner Mauger, 87, of Tower Avenue, died Monday at St. Clare's Hospital.
Born in Burlington, Vt., Mrs. Mauger lived in Schenectady most of her life.

For six years, she was a nurse's aide at the Albany Veterans Administration Hospital, Albany, retiring in 1971. Prior to that, Mrs. Mauger worked at the Glendale Nursing Home, St. Clare's Hospital and the General Electric Co.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart-St. Columba's Roman Catholic Church and a member of its Altar Rosary Society and its Ladies of St. Ann.

Also, Mrs. Mauger was a member of the Eagles Club Women's Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Philibert Mauger; two sons, Robert N. Mauger of Royersford, Pa., and Ted Mauger of Clifton Park; a daughter, Sister Phyllis Mauger CSJ of Sacred Heart Church, Gloversville; two brothers, her twin, Theodore Turner of Tampa, Fla., and Spencer Turner of Florida; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., followed at 10 at Sacred Heart-St. Columba's Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the church.
