Hugh M. Hurst
WILTON - Hugh M. Hurst, 50, of Corinth Mountain Road, died Thursday at Saratoga Hospital.
Born in Pocahontas, Ark., Mr. Hurst was a graduate of North County High School in Maryland, where he was on the wrestling team and tri-state champion in 1965. Subsequently, he was a graduate of Adirondack Community College in Queensbury.

For 16 years, he was the mutuel director for Saratoga Harness until this past March.

Mr. Hurst was a volunteer for the food bank in Corinth and helped establish a wrestling program at the Saratoga Springs YMCA. He also served with the Army Reserve.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Corinth.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Gardner Hurst, whom he married June 15, 1984; his mother, Effie Lawless Hurst of Hot Springs, Ark.; two stepsons, Benjamin Long of Amherst, Mass., and Kendall Long of South Glens Falls; a brother, Henry Hurst Jr. of Baltimore; a sister, Debbie Osborn of Hot Springs; and a step-granddaughter.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, and at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, 203 Palmer Ave., Corinth.

Burial will be private.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the Estherville Animal Shelter, 100 Russell Road, Greenfield Center, 12833.

James W. Scott
TROY - James W. Scott, 82, of Troy Hill Apartments, died Tuesday at Hallmark Nursing Centre after a short illness.
Born in Norfolk, Va., Mr. Scott at- tended the Welsh Public School system in Norristown, Pa., and moved to Troy in 1950.

For 35 years, he worked for Standard Furniture Co., retiring in 1988.

Mr. Scott was a member of the Fifth Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church since 1950 and a past member of the usher board.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie M. Jackson Scott, whom he married Nov. 23, 1938; two sons, James D. Scott of Schenectady, and Walter D. Scott of Troy; a daughter, Jacqueline I. Scott of Albany; a sister, Lillian Jones of Norristown; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Fifth Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church, 189 Fifth Ave., North Troy.

Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Oakwood Avenue Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are by the Benjamin M. Sturges Funeral Homes, Albany and Troy.

Jeffrey Anderson
WILLOWBROOK, Ill. - Jeffrey E. Anderson, 17, of Willowbrook, died Monday after being stricken.
Born in Hinsdale, Ill., Mr. Anderson was a junior at Hinsdale Central High School and was a member of the varsity swim team.

Survivors include his parents, Irene and John Anderson of Willowbrook; two sisters, Joy Cieslarski and Dory Anderson; a brother, Charles Anderson; and his grandparents, Irene and Earl Nugent of Albany.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

June Spenziero
ALBANY - Mrs. June Russo Spenziero, 56, of Albany, died Friday at St. Peter's Hospital.
Mrs. Spenziero was a lifelong Albany resident.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph F. Spenziero; two sons, Joseph George Spenziero, and Anthony Spenziero, both of Guilderland; a daughter, Christine Van Patten of Niskayuna; four sisters, Catherine Schaap of Colonie, Lorie McCormick, Ara Sanford, and Frances Dryzmala, all of Albany; two brothers, Peter Russo Jr., and Joseph Russo, both of Albany; her mother, Ara Yoncko Russo; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday at the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., and at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Westmere, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.

Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1450 Western Ave., Albany, 12203.

Maria Attianese
SUNRISE, Fla. - Mrs. Maria Maitino Attianese, 87, of Spring Tree Drive, died Thursday after a long illness.
Born in Capri, Italy, Mrs. Attianese moved to Schenectady as a child. She moved to Florida in 1974.

Mrs. Attianese was a charter member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church.

She was a member of the Gold Key Retirees of Sunrise.

Her husband, Peter Attianese, died in 1985.

Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Atkinson of Niskayuna.

The services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville, and at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, Schenectady.

A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany St., Schenectady, N.Y., 12304.

Marie Chamberlain
JOHNSTOWN - Mrs. Marie Neuhaus Chamberlain, 80, of the Trackside Homes, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam after a long illness.
Born in Gloversville, Mrs. Chamberlain was a 1937 graduate of Johnstown schools.

She was a glove worker for several years for the Superb Glove Co., retiring in 1980.

Mrs. Chamberlain was a member of the Johnstown Women of the Moose and the Johnstown 50-Plus Senior Citizens, where she participated in the Meals on Wheels program. She was also a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Survivors include her husband, George W. Chamberlain; a daughter, Carol Piehuta of Johnstown; a son, Thomas Chamberlain of Wyomissing Hills, Pa.; a brother, Charles Neuhaus of Gloversville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, Main and Melcher streets.

Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church Memorial Fund or the American Heart Association.

Mary C. Weaver
GLOVERSVILLE - Mrs. Mary C. Weaver, 83, of Orchard Street, died Thursday at North Adams Regional Hospital, North Adams, Mass.
She was a patient at the Willowood Health Center, Williamstown, Mass.

Mrs. Weaver was born and educated in Utica.

She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown.

Survivors include her husband, Robert G. Weaver, whom she married Aug. 29, 1946; a son, Robert Weaver of Palatine Bridge; a daughter, Marilyn Weaver of Johnstown; and a grandson.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ehle Funeral Home, 15 N. William St., Johnstown.

Cremation will take place at Leatherstocking Crematory, Cherry Valley.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Mary Tracy Edie
LANSINGBURGH - Private services will be held for Mrs. Mary Tracy Edie, 94, of Lansingburgh, who died Friday at the Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.
Born and educated in Troy, Mrs. Edie worked at the Lion Shirt Factory in Troy and the District Shirt Factory in Cohoes for many years.

Mrs. Edie was a member of the Speigletown Senior Citizens.

She was a former member of Grace Methodist Church and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lansingburgh.

Mrs. Edie was the widow of Francis W. Edie.

Survivors include a son, Charles W. Fake of Troy; a daughter, Joan Bleakley of Sebastian, Fla.; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.

Contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, in care of the Oriental Temple, P.O. Box 124, Troy, N.Y., 12181.

Arrangements are by Bryce Funeral Home of Troy.

Rachel Hames
NEW YORK CITY - Mrs. Rachel Irene Hames, 95, of New York City, died Wednesday at home.
Mrs. Hames was born in London, England.

Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Regina Pozner of New York City; a brother, Leo Hames of London; and two sisters, Isabella Sherrington of Manchester, England, and Rosetta Bennett of London; a grandson; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

A graveside service was held Thursday in Beth David Cemetery, Elmont.

The period of mourning is canceled because of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Guild for the Blind, 15 W. 65th St., New York, N.Y., 10023.

Arrangements are by the Levayah Chapels, Schenectady.
