Lottie Conlin
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Lottie Hughes Conlin, 92, of Altamont Avenue, died Saturday at the Hallmark Nursing Home after a short illness.
Born in Troy, Mrs. Conlin lived in Troy for many years before moving to Schenectady three years ago.
She was employed as a nurse and also worked at the Huyck Woolen Mill in Rensselaer.
Mrs. Conlin was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Rensselaer.
She was married to Francis X. Conlin until his death.
Survivors include a son, Eugene F. Conlin of East Syracuse,; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, and at noon at St. Joseph's Church, Third Street, Rensselaer, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
A calling period will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity.

Louise Pickett
ROTTERDAM - Miss Louise M. Pickett, 72, of Rotterdam, died Friday at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady after a short illness.
Born in Colonie, Miss Pickett attended Lansingburgh High School and Troy Business College.
For more than 20 years, she was employed as a secretary at Schenectady International, retiring in the late 1990s.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Ann Holmes of Bartlett, Tenn.; and two brothers, Conrad Pickett of California and Ronald Pickett of Littleton, Mass.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Woestina Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Arrangements are by the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue.

Patrick J. Lenane
SCHENECTADY - Patrick J. Lenane, 65, of Nassau Avenue, died Saturday at Ellis Hospital.
Mr. Lenane was born in Texas. He had lived in this area since 1952.
He received bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics from Siena College.
He was employed as an actuator for the state Department of Taxation and Finance, retiring in the late 1980s.
Mr. Lenane was a communicant of St. Luke's Church and a former member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
A veteran of the Army, he was stationed in Japan in the late 1950s.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Dorothy Henwood of Scotia, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St., and at 9 at St. Luke's Church, 1235 State St., where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Philip Carpenter Sr.
HALFMOON - Philip J. Carpenter Sr., 63, a seasonal resident of Fort Pierce, Fla., formerly of Pike Creek Drive in Cohoes and Avenue A in Melrose, died Sunday at his son's home in Halfmoon after a long illness.
Mr. Carpenter was born and educated in Cohoes and was a graduate of Cohoes High School.
He retired in 1994 from Allied Signal (Bendix) in Green Island, where he had been employed for 33 years as a team leader in the dynamometer lab.
Mr. Carpenter was a member of the Cohoes-Waterford Elks and the Cohoes Knights of Columbus and a communicant of St. Bonaventure's Church in Speigletown.
He also was a member of the Mechanicville Golf Club and the Van Schaick Country Club and a veteran of the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Holbrook Carpenter; two sons, Philip J. Carpenter Jr. of Valley Falls and Scott Carpenter of Halfmoon; a daughter, Susan Perry of Melrose; two sisters, Mary Ellen Rogalo of Waterford and Beverly Carpenter of North Troy; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, and at 9:30 at St. Peter's Church in Stillwater, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 this afternoon at the funeral home.

Richard Ellers
ROTTERDAM - Richard Ellers, 70, of Hembold Drive, died Sunday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a short illness.
Born in Rotterdam, Mr. Ellers was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Draper High School.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
For more than 35 years, Mr. Ellers was service manager for Scotia Motors, retiring in 1989.
Before that, he worked at the former Burtis Motor Co. for several years.
He was a member of Rotterdam Elks Lodge 2157 and St. Paul's Episcopal Church and its vestry and search committees.
Mr. Ellers also managed arrangements for church suppers for many years and was a member of the Church Mice repair and maintenance committee.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Benson Ellers, whom he married Jan. 22, 1955; and a brother, Robert L. Ellers of Schenectady.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1911 Fairview Ave.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway and Guilderland Avenue.
Entombment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the American Lung Association or the Elks National Foundation.

Walter A. Shults
AMSTERDAM - Walter A. Shults, 89, of Midline Road, died Saturday at the Wilkinson Skilled Nursing Facility.
Born in Amsterdam, Mr. Shults was educated locally and was a lifelong area resident.
He was employed by the former Mohasco Industries and worked for several years for the former American Locomotive Co. in Schenectady.
Mr. Shults was employed by Mohawk Sportswear before retiring.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, St. Michael the Archangel Church and the former American-Lithuanian Club.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Szala Shults, whom he married Oct. 28, 1933; a son, Robert Shults of Amsterdam; a daughter, Sharon Lansburg of Amsterdam; a brother, Ben Shults of California; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home, 200 Church St., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9 at St. Stanislaus Church.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions in memory of Mr. Shults may be made to St. Stanislaus Church or St. Stanislaus School.

Wanda Bradley
SUMMIT - Mrs. Wanda C. Bradley, 70, of Wharton Hollow Road, died Saturday at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County.
Mrs. Bradley was born in Cobleskill. N She and her husband were the owners of the Red Barn bar and restaurant until the business was sold in 1992.
Mrs. Bradley lived for 10 years in West Palm Beach, Fla., where she was an aide for a nursing home for four years.
She returned to the Summit area in June 1984.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice Bradley, whom she married in November 1981; three stepsons, Keith Bradley of Lake Worth, Fla., Kevin Bradley of Summit and Jerry Bradley of Worcester; four sisters, Ruthellen Collins of Gloversville, Gertrude Hadsell of Albany, Doris Tillapaugh of Carlisle and Jean Guay of Richmondville; three brothers, Gerald Collins of Honesdale, Pa., Roger Collins of Morris and Ronald Collins of Worcester; and several step-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at Vale Crematory in Schenectady.
There will be no services or calling hours.

Arrangements are by the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 68 Elm St., Cobleskill.

John Maley, Navy veteran, electrical engineer for GE
GLENVILLE - John S. Maley of Westwood Lane died Sunday at home after a long illness.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Maley moved to Camden, N.J., where he was raised.
He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1946 to 1948.
Mr. Maley attended Spring Garden Institute in Philadelphia from 1948 until his graduation in 1950.
He moved to Schenectady in 1951 and worked as an electrical engineer in the General Electric Co.'s Gas Turbine International Division.
Mr. Maley was transferred by GE in 1955 to work at Salem, Va., where he remained until 1966. He returned to Schenectady to work for GE, where he retired in 1989.
He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and a former member of the Edison Club.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Maley, whom he married in 1955; three sons, John S. Maley Jr. of Newton, Conn., David C. Maley of Ithaca and Brian M. Maley of Waterford; a daughter, Penny A. Nally of Burnt Hills; and 13 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, First Street, Scotia. A calling hour will precede the Mass at the church.
Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
