Francis A. Schneible
GLENVILLE - Francis A. Schneible, 82, of Van Buren Road, died Saturday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after being stricken at home.
Born in Schenectady, Mr. Schneible was a lifelong area resident. He lived in Guilderland and in Clifton Park before moving to Glenville in 1998.

He was a graduate of the former Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady.

He worked for the General Electric Co. in Schenectady and retired from the New York state Office of General Services in 1983.

Mr. Schneible was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant with the 822nd Bomb Squadron.

He was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

His brother, Vincent Schneible, died in July.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Bonita Hockenberry Schneible; three sons, C. Richard Schneible of Bloomingdale, Ill., Paul Schneible of Schenectady and Lawrence Schneible of Clifton Park; three daughters, Bonita Bushee of Schenectady, Katherine Wilson of East Meadow, L.I., and Eleanor Goodspeed of Glenville; a brother, Philip Schneible of Ballston Lake; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, East Glenville, and at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road, East Glenville.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the church or to charity.

Hugh J. Donlon
GLOVERSVILLE - Hugh J. Donlon, 81, of Englewood, Fla., died Saturday at Bon Secour/Venice Hospital, Venice, Fla.
Born in Herkimer, Mr. Donlon was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving in the 8th Air Force, 467th Heavy Bombardment Group as a flight engineer on a B-24 Liberator. He participated in more than 30 combat missions over Europe.

He owned and operated Hugh J. Donlon Insurance Agency in Gloversville for 30 years, retiring in 1982.

Mr. Donlon was a member of the VFW Post 2077, Gloversville, and the Mayfield Service Men's Club in Mayfield. After moving to Englewood in 1989, he became a member of the BPOE Lodge 2378.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eileen Johnson Donlon.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Englewood.

Burial will be private in St. Raphael's Memorial Garden.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 770 Kilbourn St., Englewood, or the American Lung Association of Gulf Coast Florida, 2201 Cantu Court, Sarasota, FL 34232.

Arrangements are by the Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel.

John Cefala
SCHENECTADY - In Monday's Gazette, the obituary for John R. Cefala contained misinformation and omitted a survivor due to incorrect information provided to the paper.
Mr. Cefala did not play with Buddy Rich. He is survived by his companion, Kim Wilkins of Rotterdam.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.

John M. Parker
ALBANY - John M. Parker, 80, of Ver Planck Street, died Sunday at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born in Albany, Mr. Parker was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a salesman with Reynolds Metal in Albany for many years.

Mr. Parker was a member and past master of the F. & A.M. Ancient Temple Lodge 14. He was also a member of the Cyprus Temple AAONMS; the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; the BPOE Colonie Lodge 2192; and the VFW Post 5294, Guilderland.

He was the widower of Catherine Murname Parker.

Mr. Parker is survived by a sister, Eleanor Parker Salkis of Colonie.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.

John P. Lince Sr.
ROTTERDAM JUNCTION - John P. Lince Sr., 31, of Main Street, died Sunday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Gloversville, Mr. Lince was a graduate of Gloversville High School.

He was a certified automotive technician and worked at the Colonie Garage.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Jacobs Lince, whom he married Nov. 26, 1994; a son, John Paul Lince Jr. of Mayfield; two daughters, Sarah Suzanne Lince and DeAnna Rosalynn Lince, both of Rotterdam Junction; his parents, David C. Lince and JoAnn Brockhum Lince; two brothers, David J. Lince of Ballston Spa and Jeremy J. Lince of Gloversville; and a sister, Michele Lennon of Mayfield.

The service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Park View Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Melanoma Foundation, Schenectady County Unit, 1450 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203.

Mary Verola
SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Mary Verola, 81, of Kings Road, died Monday at St. Clare's Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Naples, Italy, Mrs. Verola was a graduate of Brooklyn schools. She came to this country at 11 years of age and lived on Long Island before moving to the Schenectady area in 1986.

Mrs. Verola was a homemaker.

Her husband, Nicholas W. Verola Sr., whom she married Aug. 26, 1942, died in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Nicholas W. Verola Jr. of Charlton; two daughters, Lucille Antoniello of Commack and Rochelle Davis of Seaford; two brothers, John Andrews of Harrison and Anthony Angelone of Hicksville; a sister, Antoinette Rinaldi of Mayopac; and seven grandsons.

The services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St., and at 10 a.m. the Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glenville. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.

Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 33 Everett Road, Albany, NY 12205.

Muriel Stewart
SUMMIT - Mrs. Muriel "Mim" Stewart, 81, of Charlotteville Road, died Sunday at Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County after a long illness.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Stewart came to Summit from the Bronx in 1949.

She and her husband were co-owners and operators of the former Summit Telephone Co., which was sold in 1973 to the Middleburgh Telephone Co.

Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Summit Fire Department.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Richmondville.

Joseph T. Stewart, whom she married in 1940, died in 1999.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Legasse of Cobleskill, Patricia Shepherd of Worcester and Maureen Johns of Summit; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home, 1 Chapel St., Cobleskill. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Summit Cemetery.

Peter Corey
HALFMOON - A service will be held for Peter J. Corey, who died Aug. 4.
It will be held with full military honors at 11 a.m. Friday at the Saratoga National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, Clifton Park.

Prince Brown
SCHENECTADY - Prince Brown, 66, of Mumford Street, died Friday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital after being stricken.
Born and educated in Rome, Oneida County, Mr. Brown lived in New York City before moving to the local area five years ago.

He was a janitor in the metropolitan area, retiring in 1995.

Survivors include four sons, Fontaine Brown Cook and Okeema Brown, both of the Bronx, Richard Brown Simpson and Clifford Drummond, both of Schenectady; three stepsons, Robert Drummond and David Randolph, both of Schenectady, and Jerome Drummond of Syracuse; a daughter, Maxine Brown Simpson of Schenectady; and a stepdaughter, Paulette Simpson of Schenectady.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Park View Cemetery.

Ruth Deyo
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mrs. Ruth Braden Deyo, 70, of Avery Street, died Saturday at home.
Born in Saratoga Springs, Mrs. Deyo was a legal secretary for several area law firms, including Stanley VanRensselaer and Richard Mullaney. She was also an administrative assistant for Saratoga County before retiring in 1994.

Her son, Douglas Deyo, died this year.

Survivors include a son, Brian S. Deyo of Gansevoort; three daughters, Carole Deyo of Albany, Kathryn King and Constance Brewer, both of Saratoga Springs; and eight grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway.

Burial will be private.

Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, Capital District Chapter, 50 Colvin Ave., Albany, NY 12206-1106.
