Jacqueline Michaud
HELOTES, Texas - Mrs. Jacqueline Levesque Michaud, 62, of Reyers Canyons, died Sunday at home after being stricken.
Mrs. Michaud was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick. She lived in the East Greenbush and Castleton areas from 1968 until last year when she moved to Texas.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Michaud was the widow of Ronald N. Michaud.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Kiefer of Helotes and Diane Brady of Stillwater; two brothers, Norman Levesque of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Jean Levesque of Westbrook, Maine; a sister, Charlene Bell of Harbor City, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, and at 9:30 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Heights, where the liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Greenbush.

Lorraine Sgroi
NISKAYUNA - Mrs. Lorraine York Sgroi, 72, of Knolls Road, died Thursday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
Born and educated in Ballston Spa, Mrs. Sgroi was a lifelong area resident.
She was a self-employed accountant for 30 years, retiring in 1990.
Mrs. Sgroi was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Schenectady.
Survivors include her mother, Martha Ketchem of Ballston Spa; a son, John Sgroi of Rotterdam; a daughter, Carol Snyder of Selkirk; two sisters, Carol Wicks of Schenectady and Marlene Pastore of Ballston Spa; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 this morning at Park View Cemetery in Schenectady.
There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Baxter-Andrew Funeral Home in Schenectady.

Wayne Hebert
COHOES - Wayne Francis Hebert, 54, of Cohoes, died Thursday after a short illness.
Born in Cohoes, Mr. Hebert was a lifelong area resident.
He was a handyman for Courts Laundrymat and was a carrier for The Record newspaper. Mr. Hebert was a deliveryman for the Meals on Wheels program for the Cohoes Senior Citizens.
Mr. Hebert was a member of the Cohoes Moose Lodge 1332, The Second Degree and Moose Legion 16.
He was the widower of Madeline Hebert.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Stone of Broadalbin, Michelle Maloney of Cohoes and Jodie Gamble of Schenectady; three sons, Wayne and Joseph Hebert, both of Cohoes, and Edward Gamble of Watervliet; his mother, June Taylor Hebert of Cohoes; three sisters, Gail Hebert of Waterford, Penny Reynolds and Pam Hebert, both of Cohoes; four brothers, Earl Hebert of Pleasantdale, Thomas Hebert of Cohoes, Gary Hebert Sr. of Latham and Jack Hebert of Waterford; and 15 grandchildren.
The services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the Marra Funeral Home, 246 Remsen St., and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, during which members of the Moose lodge will meet at 7:30.
Burial will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery.

Rev. Thomas K. Flanigan, local priest for 50 years
TROY - The Rev. Thomas K. Flanigan, 77, of 2310 Fifth Ave., died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital.
Father Flanigan was born in Troy and was a graduate of St. Augustine's School. He was a 1942 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a 1946 graduate of Niagara University.
He graduated from St. Bernard's Seminary and was ordained a priest on June 3, 1950.
Father Flanigan was an assistant pastor at St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet, St. Ann's Church in Albany and St. Bernard's Parish in Cohoes, where he also was dean of students at Keveny Academy.
He was assigned to St. Ann's Parish in Fort Ann and was chaplain at the Great Meadows Correctional Facility in Comstock.
He was pastor of St. Peter's from December 1969 until his retirement in June 2000.
Father Flanigan was the founder of the Keveny Band in Cohoes, the St. Peter's Band and the St. Peter's-St. Patrick's Band in Troy.
He was a member of the Troy Knights of Columbus and chaplain of the Troy Columbiettes.
He was a member and board member of the Society of the Friends of St. Patrick of Troy and the Commission on Economic Opportunity in Rensselaer and Washington counties, and a member of the Aging Athletes of Keveny Academy.
Father Flanigan was a former president and board member of CCHS and the recipient of the Monsignor Burns Memorial Award, the Troy Boys Club Man of the Year, the Uncle Sam Man of the Year, the Cohoes Caretakers and the Damien Award for service to the state correctional facilities.
He was the first recipient of the Rev. Thomas K. Flanigan Humanitarian Award of St. Peter's Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth M. Cullen and Marie H. Thayer, both of Troy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Church.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 115th Street and 4th Avenue, Lansingburgh, and 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, where a Mass will be celebrated at 7:30.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

John Macomber, 79, Navy officer; served in two wars
LATHAM - John W. Macomber, 79, of Latham, died Friday at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born in Troy, Mr. Macomber was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School. He had been a resident of Latham since 1947.
He was a chief petty officer in the Navy from 1940 to 1960, serving in both World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Macomber was stationed on the USS Boise during World War II and was active in the reunions of its veterans. He also participated in the commissioning of the USS Boise submarine in 1991.
In the 1960s, Mr. Macomber worked for Latham Bowl as the night manager for more than six years.
Later, he worked as the games room manager at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's student union for 12 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of the Colonie Elks Lodge and a former longtime chairman of the Veterans Committee. Mr. Macomber was a charter member of both the Petty Officers Club of Troy and the Armed Forces Bowling League at Latham Bowl. He was a member of the American Legion North Albany Post and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7411.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Doris Martin Macomber; two daughters, Jacklynn Galusha of Loudonville and Sandra Macomber of Malone; a son, Donald Macomber of Richmondville; a brother, Arthur Macomber of Rochester; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road.
Burial will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Alfred Davis Sr.
SCHENECTADY - Alfred M. Davis Sr., 81, of Thompson Street, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.
Mr. Davis was born in Amsterdam and educated locally.
He was employed as a manager in the Bobar's auto body shop until retiring.
Before that, Mr. Davis worked for several motor car companies in the Mohawk Valley.
During World War II, he served with the Navy.
His wife, Susan Kerr Davis, died Feb. 23.
Survivors include a son, Alfred M. Davis Jr. of Galway; a daughter, Michele Knapik of Glen; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Audery Shaffer
EDINBURG - Ms. Audery LaPierre Shaffer, 67, of Northville Road, died Friday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Ms. Shaffer was born in Albany and was a graduate of Philip Livingston High School.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Kinum of Hadley; a sister, Carmen Leary of Florida; a brother, James Swinyer of Albany; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Brigid's Church in Watervliet.

Bernard Wojcik
AMSTERDAM - Bernard Wojcik, 91, of Gorski Street, died at home Friday.
Mr. Wojcik was born in Amsterdam. He attended Amsterdam schools and was a lifelong area resident.
He was employed by Mohasco Carpet Mills until his retirement.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Wojcik served with the 8th Armored Division in Europe. He attained the rank of sergeant and was awarded a Bronze Star.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church.
His wife, Patricia Orante Wojcik, whom he married Jan. 16, 1946, died in 1991.
Survivors include a sister, Irene A. Tatara of Amsterdam.
Services will be at 10:45 a.m. Monday at the Guzielek-Pomykaj Funeral Home, 13 Belmont Place, and at 11:15 at St. Mary's Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 4 this afternoon to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity.
