Gertrude E. Kruger
TOWN OF FLORIDA - Private services will be held for Mrs. Gertrude E. Kruger, 87, of State Route 30, who died Monday at Montgomery Meadows Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam after a short illness.
Born and educated in Stone Arabia, Mrs. Kruger moved to the Amsterdam area in 1932.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kruger attended Florida Reformed Church in Minaville.

She was a member of the Beldons Corners Community Club and the Mariaville Rod & Gun Club.

Her husband, Walter K. Kruger, whom she married Aug. 18, 1933, died in 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice E. Gaugler and Gladys M. Krohn, both of the town of Florida; a brother, Arnold Francisco of the state of Florida; a sister, Marjorie Ortell of Johnstown; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandson.

Spring burial will be in Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville.

Contributions may be made to the Town of Florida Volunteer Fire Department or the Florida Reformed Church in care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Mary Georgetti
BALLSTON SPA - Mrs. Mary Costa Georgetti, 80, of Rowland Street, died Sunday at home.
Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Georgetti lived in Lynbrook, N.Y. for 30 years before moving to the Ballston Spa area four years ago.

Her husband, Thomas L. Georgetti, died in 1996.

Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Beller of Ballston Spa; a son, Thomas Georgetti of Brooklyn; four grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 this afternoon and 7 to 9 tonight at the William J. Burke & Sons-Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs.

Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity.

Florence E. Fleming
RENSSELAER - Services were held for Mrs. Florence E. Fleming, 77, of Rensselaer, who died Saturday at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Mechanicville, Mrs. Fleming lived in Rensselaer for many years.

She was a senior account clerk for the New York state Education Department.

Mrs. Fleming was the widow of Robert J. Fleming Sr.

Survivors include a son, Robert J. Fleming Jr. of Rensselaer; and a daughter, Penelope A. Fleming of Rensselaer.

Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.

Arrangements were by the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home.

Phoebe B. Baker
SHARON SPRINGS - Mrs. Phoebe B. Baker, who was a supervisor for the Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany, died Monday at home after a short illness. Mrs. Baker, of Briggs Road, was 81.
A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Baker was born in Delanson and attended Cobleskill Central School.

For the past 18 years, she lived in Sharon Springs.

Mrs. Baker worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles for 20 years, retiring in 1983.

She was a member of the Silver and Gold Club; Carlisle Senior Citizens; Cobleskill Eagles Aerie Auxiliary; East Worcester Fish and Game Club; and a charter member of the Cobleskill Fire Auxiliary.

Mrs. Baker was a volunteer for Bassett Healthcare, WELCA and Zion Lutheran Church's Ladies Aid Committee.

Her husband, Burtis Baker, whom she married Jan. 11, 1938, died in 1991.

Survivors include two sons, John Baker of Warnerville and Carl Baker of Seward; two daughters, Janet Davis of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Jacquelyn Costello of Sharon Springs; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Chapel, Leesville.

Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Lappeus Funeral Home, 113 Park St.

Burial will be in Esperance Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 70 E. Main St., Cobleskill, NY 12043.

Margaret Russell
COLONIE - Mrs. Margaret Hoffman Russell, 93, formerly of Van Heusen Street, died Tuesday.
Mrs. Russell was the widow of Theodore Roosevelt Russell, who died in 1966.

Survivors include a son, Ted R. Russell of Colonie; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.

There are no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to charity.

Arrangements are by the Glenville Funeral Home.

Lawrence E. Kirker Sr.
KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Lawrence E. Kirker Sr., 71, of Loughman, died Saturday in Kissimmee after being stricken.
Born in Schenectady, Mr. Kirker moved to Loughman in 1965.

He was a mechanic for Tiner Harvesting, B.C. Cook and Sons and Long's Fruit Harvesting.

Mr. Kirker was a Baptist.

He was the widower of Ruth Kirker.

Survivors include five daughters, Wilhelmina Aini of Rotterdam, Alyce Dariano of Scotia, Sue Lucas of Davenport, Fla., and Laurie Barnes and Lynda Moore, both of Haines City, Fla.; five sons, Lawrence Kirker Jr. and George Kirker, both of Scotia, Richard Kirker of Esperance, David Kirker of Winterhaven, Fla., and Rory Kirker of Rome, Italy; a sister, Alice Hilliard of Augusta, Ga.; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Bradt Street, Schenectady.

Local arrangements are by the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, Schenectady.

George Rocco
SCHENECTADY - Services were held for George D. Rocco, 80, of Garden Grove, Calif., formerly of Schenectady, who died Nov. 28 at the home of his son in Garden Grove.
Born and educated in Schenectady, Mr. Rocco was a 1941 graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School. He had lived in Schenectady until April 1950, when he moved to Garden Grove.

Mr. Rocco was an Army veteran, serving with the New York National Guard, 27th Division, 105th Infantry. He was wounded during the Battle of Saipan and received the Purple Heart.

He was a purchasing agent for Bethlehem Steel Co. in Orange County, Calif., for 25 years. He later worked for the Hollywood Wax Museum in California for four years.

Mr. Rocco was a former communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, where he was also an altar boy. He was a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Garden Grove.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Mandaro Rocco, whom he married in 1945; three sons, John and Thomas Rocco, both of Garden Grove, and Anthony Rocco of Yorktown, Ind.; two brothers, Nicholas Rocco of Schenectady and Anthony "Red" Rocco of Stamford, Conn.; and four grandchildren.

Burial was in Garden Grove.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in the spring.

Contributions may be made to the St. Anthony's Church Memorial Fund, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady, NY 12305.

Local arrangements are by N. Rossi & Sons Funeral Home.

Frank K. Intelisano Sr.
BROADALBIN - Frank K. Intelisano Sr., who was a dye-check inspector at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 30 years, died Tuesday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Mr. Intelisano, of Stevers Mill Road, was 67.
Born in New York City, Mr. Intelisano attended P.S. 40 there. He moved to Gloversville as a young adult and had resided in Broadalbin for the past 40 years.

He retired from GE in 1994.

Mr. Intelisano was a member of I.U.E. Local 301 in Schenectady.

Mr. Intelisano attended St. Joseph's Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Lake Intelisano, whom he married Dec. 24, 1950; four sons, Frank K. Intelisano Jr. of Gloversville, Joseph and Michael M. Intelisano, both of Amsterdam, and James V. Intelisano of Northville; four daughters, Sandra J. Przybylowicz of Galway, Terry A. Greco and Annette C. Intelisano, both of Broadalbin, and Pauline B. Intelisano of Ballston Spa; his mother, Josephine Kenwood of Shoreham; a brother, Michael Kenwood of Shoreham; a sister, Susan McIlwaith of Shoreham; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Church, 7 North St. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, 38 W. Main St.

Burial will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Jennie Mangini, concession operator at race course, 86
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mrs. Jennie Audi Mangini, who operated the Saratoga Race Course backstretch concession stand and the backstretch kitchen with her husband, died Monday at the Wesley Health Care Center. Mrs. Mangini, of Ash Street, was 86.
Born in Mechanicville, Mrs. Mangini lived in Saratoga Springs for 70 years.

She and her husband owned the family wholesale and retail Christmas tree business since 1934 at the corner of Ash and Beekman streets. They operated the Saratoga Race Course backstretch concession stand since 1946 and the backstretch kitchen since 1967.

Mrs. Mangini was active in the community of St. Peter's Academy. She was the 1993 recipient of the Edward A. Lenz Award for her continued interest in local Catholic education and dedicated service and support to the school, now known as Saratoga Catholic Central High School.

She was a communicant of the Church of St. Peter and a member of the former St. Peter's Mothers' Club.

Her husband, Anthony R. Mangini, died in 1996.

Survivors include four sons, John J. Mangini, David Mangini, and Anthony R. Mangini Jr., all of Saratoga Springs, and Robert A. Mangini of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; a daughter, Deborah A. Fuller of Saratoga Springs; a brother, Frank J. Audi of Greenwich; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to Beyond the Classroom, Saratoga Central Catholic High School, P.O. Box 4484, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866; or the American Diabetes Association, Capital District Chapter, 50 Colvin Ave., Albany, NY 12206-1106.
