Lorraine Lass
HALFMOON - Mrs. Lorraine Wells Lass, who was a manager for the New York state Department of Social Services in Albany for 29 years, died Wednesday at Albany Medical Center as a result of leukemia. Mrs. Lass, of Halfmoon, was 53.
Born in Troy, Mrs. Lass lived in Halfmoon for the past 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Lass; a daughter, Victoria Lass of New Orleans, La.; her parents, W. Wayne and Elizabeth Babcock Wells; and a brother, Glenn Wells of Waterford.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Catricala Funeral Home, 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clifton Park and Halfmoon Emergency Corps or the Leukemia Society of America.

Kathryn Ann Clements
CORINTH - Miss Kathryn Ann Clements, 44, of Dublin, Calif., formerly of Corinth, died at home in California on Nov. 22.
Born in Glens Falls, Miss Clements was a graduate of Corinth Central School and attended Mohawk Valley Community College.
She was an Army veteran, serving as a staff sergeant in Germany for six years.
Miss Clements was a sales and marketing representative for Schafer-Eaton in Pittsfield, Mass., and then worked for the General Electric Co. She was later manager of information systems for GE at its Walnut Creek, Calif., location, and taught computer programs to the staff in the northwestern United States and Alaska.
Survivors include her parents, Charles and Kathleen Bogle Clements of Corinth; her grandmother, Betty Bogle of Corinth; two brothers, Harold Clements of Saratoga Springs and Charles Clements of Antelope, Calif.; and a sister, Maureen Telisky of Gansevoort.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Corinth, 403 Palmer Ave.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Densmore Funeral Home, 7 Sherman Ave.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

James Warwick
CLIFTON PARK - James H. Warwick, 96, formerly of Latham, died Tuesday at the Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born and educated in Troy, Mr. Warwick lived in Loudonville until moving to Latham in the 1950s. He relocated to Clifton Park in 1994.
He worked for the Borden Co. before retiring.
Mr. Warwick was a member and ruling elder of the Jermain Memorial Presbyterian Church, Watervliet.
He was the widower of Leone Van Leuven Warwick.
Survivors include a daughter, Terri Lorensen of Clifton Park; and two grandchildren.
The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the chapel of the Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Albany Rural Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Jermain Memorial Presbyterian Church, 601 Fifth Ave., Watervliet, NY 12189.

Howard C. Campbell
TROY - Howard C. Campbell, who was a truck driver for the state Department of Transportation for many years, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Campbell, of Tenth Street, was 74.
Born and educated in Troy, Mr. Campbell was a lifelong resident.
He retired from the Department of Transportation in 1976.
He was a member of the Troy Elks Lodge.
Mr. Campbell served in the Air Force.
Survivors include his companion, Karen R. Maloney of Troy; a daughter, Karen Campbell; and a sister, Frances Chicoine of Troy.
A service will be held at noon on Saturday at the Bryce Funeral Home, Pawling and Maple avenues. A calling hour will precede the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Edith Messineo
PERTH - Mrs. Edith M. Messineo, 89, of Route 30, died Wednesday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Messineo was born and educated in Broadalbin and lived in the Perth area for most of her life.
She worked for the Mohawk Carpet Mills in Amsterdam for 30 years and in the housekeeping department at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. She had subsequently beem employed as a bus driver for Guiffre's Bus Co. in Amsterdam, retiring in 1978.
Mrs. Messineo was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.
Her husband, Corrado Corey Messineo, died last year.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Buell of Gloversville; a brother, Raymond Stoddard Jr. of Johnstown; and a sister, Marion Boyle of Perth.
Services will be held Saturday at 8:15 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, and at 9 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Grove Street, Amsterdam, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Amsterdam.

Duane Putman
TUCSON, Ariz. - Duane C. Putman, who was an inspector of gas and steam turbines for the General Electric Co., died at home Sunday. Mr. Putman, of Tucson, formerly of Esperance, was 88.
Born in Streeter, S.D., Mr. Putman had lived in Esperance before moving to Tucson in 1978.
He was a graduate of Streeter High School.
He retired from GE in 1972.
He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Mr. Putman was a former trustee of the Esperance Cemetery Association and a charter member of the Esperance Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Mason and a member of the former Redmen Lodge.
He was the widower of Ruth Rockwell Putman, who died in 2000.
Survivors include three daughters, Dianne Hoff of Chandler, Ariz., Karen Dane of Clovis, N.M., and Sylvia LaPorte of Tucson; a brother, Max Putman of Central Bridge; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church.
A spring graveside service will be held at Esperance Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.

Bryce E. Butler
NEW SALEM - Bryce E. Butler, 56, of New Salem Road South, died at home Tuesday as a result of bladder cancer.
Survivors include his companion, Marilyn Mowry of New Salem; and two brothers, Barkley Butler of Indiana, Pa., and Bradford Butler of Honey Brook, Pa.
An anatomical gift has been made to Albany Medical College.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Friedens Church, Nott Terrace, Schenectady.
Arrangements are by Hans Funeral Home, Albany.

Betty Rule
MECHANICVILLE - Mrs. Betty Corbett Rule, who was a billing clerk for Samaritan Hospital in Troy, died Tuesday at home. Mrs. Rule, of Mechanicville, was 67.
Born in Hershey, Pa., Mrs. Rule lived most of her life in the Capital Region. She moved to Florida during the 1980s and to Grafton in 1991. She relocated to Mechanicville in 1999. She was the widow of Jack Rule.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Slowinski of Atlanta, Ga., and Betty Jean Lucarelli of Mechanicville; two sons, John J. Rule Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Michael L. Rule of Manhattan; a sister, Patricia A. Curtis of Troy; and three grandchildren.
The services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Ave., Green Island, and at 9:30 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Green Island.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 this afternoon and 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Ave M. Farrell
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Mrs. Ave M. Farrell, 72, of the Embury Apartments, formerly of Schuylerville, died Tuesday at Saratoga Hospital.
Mrs. Farrell was born in Schenectady.
For several years, she was a housekeeper at Notre Dame-Visitation Church Rectory for the Rev. William Lemoyne.
Mrs. Farrell was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church and a member of its St. Ann Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband, Robert T. Farrell of Saratoga Springs; and a son, Thomas Joseph Farrell of Saratoga Springs.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, Pearl Street, Schuylerville.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 this afternoon and 7 to 9 tonight at the Flynn Bros. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Schuylerville.
